  6. Well I just got back from the Eye Doctor and it isn't healing as well from my accident. getting some blank spots and double vision at times. Figured I better sell whats left of the bike. Maybe in a year or so I will get another if my eyesight comes back better. Will still keep in touch with y'all and will post some pictures of it when I get back to the house. Squidley was going to sell me most of the parts needed to put her back together.
  7. Well with the wind and rain in San Antonio, we left the bike on the trailer at JB's, but we had an awsome time anyway. Thanks again. We won't wait 2 years between trips next time.
  8. The Alamo and Riverwalk are always wonderful, Take in the Mission Reach also. Hotel wise, I have friends that stayed in the Homestead Inn and Suites and really enjoyed them, but we have a decent sized spare bedroom that you are welcome to stay in, and room in the garage for the bike, since mine is still on the trailer at JB's waiting to go to Squid's. Private message me and we would be happy to have you. Brian
  9. Marsha and I are at the best western. What time are we starting tomorrow ? Between the rain and wind, we chose not to tow the broken bike here. But I can use my one good arm to assist others
  10. leaving friday to travel there. plan on us and we will bring treats too. If we can even just evaluate what all needs to be done to mine, it will all be worth it. See ya there
  11. Three Sisters in November, see the post in the meet and eats or regional rallys section ( i forget which) Leaky Tx in November is always a blast, there will be a bunch of ventureriders there and a whole lot of food and margaritas.
  12. they are "reviewing the tapes" from 4 years ago when i got my policy. I could care less about roadside assistance, but fix my bike. BTW I had $3000 in "accessory coverage" but no collision? huh?
  13. Well I guess when you ask for "Full Coverage" with progressive, that doesn't mean collision. I am out of luck on the bike, It can be saved, but at least $3000 in damage I think.
  14. well, first things first, I owe the forum $10..... Now the story, When I got off work on thursday, The front tire felt a little wobbly in the corners. Since I wos off Friday I jacked it in the air and couldn't find anything. Took it down the road for a check out and came up on a huge MVA. As I was passing the scene, I saw a body laying 50-60 feet from the accident site. I guess It suprized me and the SUV driver in front because she stopped in the middle of the road and I plowed in to her at about 20-25 mph. Went over the top on on my face. Thank Goodness for a quality helmet. they repaired the hole in the cornea with a lazer, cast the broken hand and operated on the broken cheek bone. Now one of my biggest problems is trying to post with one hand. THANKS EVERYONE for the prayers and good wishes. Now I just need to figure out where they towed the bike and how much SAFETY Chrome got ruined...P.S to Buddyrich, the zumo held up like a trooper. A big thanks to Lonestar Medic for being the best leadman out there
  15. Was it Dave and Jamie on the new FJR yesterday?
  16. Get back on your feet quick Dano, Paid Forward
  17. Had to run by the local Yammy shop to pick up oil and filter for the scoot. Saw a new 2012 Victory Cross Country Tour. Randy said take it around the block while I get your stuff. BIG mistake. My RSV has power, but this thing could scare the bejeebers out of me. Wish Yamaha would get it together and update. If I had the extra cash I might be riding something different today, but mines paid for. Anyone else ride it and like it? Or am I just slobbering over something that won't last.
  18. If you look out your back door, you might see JB, (Lonestarmedic) he lives down your way in Lavernia or St Hedwig, or Floresville or.............
  19. Dude, It's been awhile since we visited, but we still think of you often, Happy Birthday, Brian and Marsha
  20. I "retired" 28 Feb 2009, but because I had terminal leave from the army, I stopped working the 19th of Dec. By mid January my wife had enough of me wanting to go do something every day. She told me to go find something to do, so she could get something done around the house. I was driving her crazy. I went back to work as a civilian May 2009, doing almost the same thing for the Army. The difference is now my clinic is closed EVERY holiday and weekend. and I work 7:30-4:30, instead of getting the soldiers up in the mornings at 4:30 and putting them to bed @ 9:30 every night. I definitely do not miss having to drive downtown San Antonio to pick up a drunk soldier either. I guess it is a lot different than before.
  21. I got off work Thursday night (12/29) and agreed to meet my wife and her parents at the SeaIsland Shrimp House in Live Oak. As I pulled up there was another bike in the parking lot with the blue engine glow lights on. As I got closer to it I realized it was an RSV. I was going to put one of my Venturerider cards on it, but it had a proximity alarm that chirped the closer you got to it. Pretty bike although I couldn't tell the color in the dark due to the blue LEDs on the engine and lowers. Gave me another idea for some more "Safety Accessories" though. Anyone here. I know It wasn't Buddyrich or JB, I have seen their bikes.
  22. Don, Most of my patients that have a major vitamin D deficiency have the same symptoms as you. As kids, we USED to be out in the sunshine all the time, The sun is the major source of Vit D. As we grow a LITTLE older we lose the ability to absorb as much. You will probably not feel the change for about 4-6 weeks, but all of my patients that go on high dose Drisdol (Vit D) have said that it made a difference for them. After about a year on prescription Vit D switch to an over the counter dose of Calcium + D like Caltrate or Citrical. Brian
  23. PAYPAL Sent for 2 Thanks
  24. ADD 2 for me also
  25. Marsha and I had the wonderful opportunity to meet Ponch and Kathy at a M&E last year. Our prayers are going skyward for his complete recovery.
