Favor to ask especially out of US VR's

I have a San Antonio Riverwalk card sitting here. I will put a stamp on it and send it on its way -
We can all stir the pot, but my friend that was at Sturgis said that the biggest problem people had with the Indians when they rode them was being forced to get off, so someone else could get a turn.

I know that Ashley has a trike but I think it is purple-ish, I saw a MRSV at the last American Legion Riders trip here to the Fisher House, but no idea who's it was, sorry

Of course you have the three sisters around Leakey to ride. When we had the Texas Hill Country Rally last year, we stayed in the cabins there. President Johnsons Ranch is near Fredricksburg, and Tom lives not too far away in Blanco. He went to the Darkside though (Polaris UTV).

Anyone ever deal with Castle Powersports in Madison Tn? I am interested in a bike there, but will have to go on faith that it is what they say it is. Richard tells me that even though it has a lot of miles, it is in excellent shape. Any dealings with them?

Anyone have "little known secrets" about 2nd Gen
SapperMedic replied to VentureFar's topic in Watering Hole
Or you can add a BuddyRich cable and use the plug for your Iphone or GPS. I have a Zumo 550 with my music on the SD card, plugged in so that I can bluetooth my phone off of it, and answer the phone. (getting off the road to talk of course). plus this allows my navigator to talk (complain) to me through the intercom system. thought about the Isimple box but still fairly expensive. I thought that this eliminated the CD changer hook up, but it still worked. -
Well if the motor is as well made as their Victory brand, I think they have a winner on their hands. I'm just glad the brand ended up with a company that has the financial clout to keep it going. And made in the USA

Need light weight outdoor cover for 2nd Gen RSV
SapperMedic replied to VentureFar's topic in Watering Hole
Believe it or not, I have used the covers that they sell at Walmart, $18.95 and so far they each lasted over a year when we didn't have the covered parking at work. Now No Bike so No Cover:depressed:. Who knows Tom may be hauling some your way now. -
" have an underground storm shelter so as long as we are in that thing we could survive an F5. But no room for my scooters, just we three and the dogs .....damn." Guns, Sounds like you need to make the shelter bigger, gotta have priorities:cool10:

I have started looking for my next money pit and thought about branching out to another manufacturer, IMHO the only ones holding any kind of value is the Venture,Victory Cross Country and Goldwing. I saw a 2010 Kaw Voyager with all the extras for $9700, a 2010 Polaris Spyder for $9800 and a 2010 Victory Vision for $9400. The Voyager just feels cheap from the moment I sat on it. The Spyders are awesome, but I can't get used to that Snowmobile feel, and the Vision just looks to "Buck Rogers" for me. I have to wait until mid to late June to finish getting the cash, but it is either a 01-07 Goldwing, or that pretty little Maroon 08 RSV if it is still available. What are your thoughts on the other bikes? I can't afford 18-20 grand for a Cross Country, and the Harleys are too hard on my bad shoulders with the vibration.

I agree whole heartedly about the need to protect yourself, and I agree that showing the weapon can escalate the situation, but at our classes they showed that a man with a knife can get to you from 15 feet away before you can pull your weapon if it is in a shoulder or belt holster behind your back. So the suggestion about having a side pocket is a good one. I remember when I got back from Iraq and Afghanistan that I carried my side arm tucked in behind my belt covered by my shirt for about six months, just because I was a little paranoid. My weapons instructor helped me to get over that, but I still have trouble driving in the right lane of the freeway. Concrete barriers make me nervous due to the IEDs. I do remember that a displayed legal handgun calmed a Black Friday incident down. The man was punched in the face and was about to get beat on, when he displayed (but did not aim) his concealed weapon. The other guy ran away and the man put his pistol away and waited for the police.
