Look at segment 3? Tip over protection?

Lonestarmedic and I looked at the visions when the Victory truck set up at our Yamaha dealer. They had a stripped Vision to show and it is really a work of art for the frame. It has a sideways mounted swingarm for the rear shock. I'm not dropping 23 grand on 1 right now but they are a sweet ride http://www.polarisindustries.com/en-us/Victory/2009/Touring/Victory-Vision-Tour-Premium/Pages/Gallery.aspx

Tim, You might want to grab a case if you use a lot of it, because the price at my O'riely auto part has doubled, it's still only $8.49 at Walmart so I bought 6 cans for later. It almost doubled this week though

It is now on E-bay for $600+ without a controller, too much for me and too complicated to take a chance on for my 23 year old bike

I had a guy that I have dealt with before on E-bay offer to sell this to me for $300 yesterday. Sent me a picture of it tonight. He says it came off a V-max. I Haven't seen anything like it but think it may be a v-boost. Is it worth $300?

When I bought my bike, it was missing one of the pull tabs. I used a cut piece of bungie cord tied in a knot and put in place. It works perfectly and you can't see anything but the little black knot. Less than 50 cents

Georgia Trooper not indicted in biker's death
SapperMedic replied to RandyR's topic in Watering Hole
Here in San Antonio, they had a fire truck that was leaving a restaraunt to respond to a call. When they got to the scene there was a wheelchair imbedded in the front of the fire truck....They said they didn't see anything or hear anything. dead handicapped lady New Year's Eve got off to a tragic start. Police tell News 4 San Antonio firefighters ran over and killed a woman in a wheelchair. It happened as night fell Monday night at the intersection of Marbach and Horel - just outside of Loop 410. News 4 has learned that the fire department brush truck was on its way to a call. The truck pulled out onto Marbach, and when it got to Loop 410 and Highway 90, firefighters noticed sparks coming from under the truck. They pulled over and realized they were dragging a wheelchair. About that time, a call came in for a woman who had been hit at the intersection they'd just left. That's when everybody put two and two together, realizing the fire truck had hit that woman in a wheelchair. She was pronounced dead at the scene. Her name has not been released -
Couldn't have said it better

Now you know why I miss Utah so much, I grew up just below Sundance and we still have our trailer at the Provo river just up the canyon from there. We lived in Vernal while I was recruiting for the Army and we would have gone back except the better half was up seeing the kids in Feb and the temp never got over 20 degrees for 2 weeks straight, she came back and bought a house down here in San Antone and I guess we can't leave now. There are some fantastic twisties on the mirror lake highway. It just doesn't get enough snow off the road before late May or June in a normal year and this year they had even more snow. What happened to global warming

Dang, you had me drooling for a minute

Got home tonight and realized I had forgotten to get the mail on Saturday, and what do we have but the 2009 Dillon Aero Calendar, It went all the way to Afghanistan before being routed back to me. Anyone that loves big weaponry knows that Dillon Aero makes the M134 Gatling gun, but their calendar has become a classic in the military circles. Here's the cover

Hey any ride that you stay on 2 wheels is a success in my book. My wife loves to sit out on the back porch when it rains here, but won't go near the bike if it's even cloudy

My suggestion is to bite the bullet and purchase the J&M headsets or Edsets for the bike, you will not be disappointed, Edsets.com gives us a discount and has the best sound by far. You can buy from Chromeworld on E-BAY and get 2 sets for $149 with shipping that are good. My wife loves that we can listen to the music now along with voice activated mikes so she isn't yelling in my ear.

speaking of stange things on the back of your bike, I zip tied my old camcorder to the luggage rack and took a ride along the river road in Groene Tx. I had a blast and am trying to record it on a dvd. I will post portions if it comes out good. It was wonderful and the view was great. 4 thousand bikini clad people.......I mean the road trip was great, yea thats what I meant:innocent:

Another carb question
SapperMedic replied to SapperMedic's topic in Venture and Venture Royale Tech Talk ('83 - '93)
It kinda coughs and sputters and has just a little bit of a lope in the throttle, She runs great though as soon as you get her to operating temp, so I shouldn't be complaining. -
Another carb question
SapperMedic posted a topic in Venture and Venture Royale Tech Talk ('83 - '93)
I cleaned the carbs, replaced the diaphragms and then synced it this weekend. Now my question is, When I first start it up cold (San Antonio cold 70*) it runs really poorly, but as soon as it warms up, it goes like a gasoline coated cat (don't ask me how I know what that looks like). Shoudl it do that or am I just being paranoid? (I know they're out to get me) -
WHAT? are you embarrassed about your mascots?

Vibration in grips - numb hand
SapperMedic replied to oneway's topic in Royal Star Venture Tech Talk ('99 - '13)
I know that some on this site said they got more vibration when they went to an aftermarket pipe, but since yours is stock, I don't know. I like the gel gloves WITH a good set of Grips. -
When I was young, I kinda thought the people in the military were those who couldn't hold "real" jobs. But I have found in the 25+ years that I have been associated that it is only the most patriotic and gallant that STAY in the military. I understand some that come in and do what they contracted to do and then go to make a difference in the civilian community, and there are a lot of them. But those who make the military a career are extra special in my heart. I think that's why I love this site so much, because we all have a passion about something, and are willing to share. I know we have a big percentage of the members that are vets or have children (grandchildren) that are in the military and don't take our freedoms lightly. I had a First Sgt that gave me some good advise. He said " We can't always choose who leads us, but it is our duty to obey their legal orders to the best of our abilities" (This was during the Clinton years, when the military was getting cut to the bone). I know that I did the best I could these last couple of years to make sure that the soldiers that Lonestarmedic and I put on the battlefield, were those that I would want taking care of me if things went wrong.

Post the pictures of your mascot, and tell us why you carry him/her

I think a lot of it started with the hospital rides by BACA, Shriners and other groups that were taking toys to sick or abused children, and a lot of them strapped the stuffed animals on the bikes. Most of our LEO's carry stuffy's in the vehicles because it helps calm down frightened children. My little Boxer/bulldog was given to my wife by my son while I was in Afghanistan, She put in on the back and he has stayed there. I usually get complimented on the bike, followed immediately by asking about "Wuffy" (his motorcycle jacket says "I wuff you")

My wife was a big determiner in what type of bike that I chose. The rides are that much nicer when you share them
