I understand that the event went very well and that everyone was moved to tears by JB's Cousin who gave the salute. My chemo has caused me to be too weak to drive more than an hour or so, so I missed it. A big thanks to Tom Hendry for the set up, BBQ and generally running the event. If you ever get a chance to ride the 3 Twisted Sisters near Leakey Tx, You should stay at the Frio Pecan Farm. They had a huge home that they rented with a pool, patio and barbeque, but their cabins are also perfect for 1 or 2 couples and are reasonably priced. Thanks again to everyone

I have to close the St Judes auction today, because I head for the hospital tomorrow for a good while, congrats to everyone and thanks Rick Hayward I will mail it today

OK so when someone buys it, please send the money to Freebirds acct that he set up, let me know your address and I will mail it out to you at my cost.

I found a trunk liner bag from my RSV in one of my totes today, I don't want to sell it, just wanted it to get used. I put it on the St Judes section of the classifieds, but don't know how the winning bid would get the money to where it belongs. Freebird, do they just send the paypal to you, or what? I will pay the shipping as my contribution to whoever wins. It is good shape and comes in handy for those overnights.

Well, it has been a long time since I posted and a lot has happened in the last year, In Feb last year, I was having some trouble swallowing and went in for a scope which showed an Adenocarcinoma of the esophagus. After several rounds of Chemo and Radiation, I was too weak to hold up my bike anymore, so I sold it to a nice 82 year man from Mercedes Tx down here, who immediately triked it. During this time, we also lost JB Slye (Lonestar Medic) to a heart attack and my friend Tom in Boerne sold his bike, so he wasn't posting on the site much I had surgery in August to remove the cancer and a good portion of my esophagus, which went really well. I have been feeling much better since then and was even contemplating buying a new bike. I had my 6 month follow up with a PET scan and discovered 2 new tumors that are not operable, so I guess more chemo and no new bike. I appreciate everything that all of you have helped me with through 2 Venture Royales, 1 RSTC, and 3 RSV's. Your advise on everything from tires to clutches to where to find parts has been invaluable. I will try to post more often now, but if it doesn't happen, know that you all are in my prayers. Brian

After having their 11th child, an Alabama couple decided that was enough, as they could not afford a larger bed. So the husband went to his doctor/veterinarian and told him that he and his wife/cousin didnt want to have any more children. The doctor told him that there was a procedure called a vasectomy that could fix the problem but that it was expensive. A less costly alternative, said the doctor, was to go home, get a cherry bomb, light it, put it in a beer can, then hold the can up to his ear and count to 10. The Alabamian said to the doctor, "I may not be the smartest man in the world, but I don't see how putting a cherry bomb in a beer can next to my ear is going to help me." "Trust me", said the doctor. So the man went home, lit a cherry bomb and put it in a beer can. He held the can up to his ear and began to count: "1, 2, 3, 4, 5", at which point he paused, placed the beer can between his legs, and resumed counting on his other hand.

Most of you Ol timers remember Tom from Blanco, I haven't seen him on this site since he got that GW, but still keep up with him on FB. He had a large ruptured disc repaired yesterday in San Antonio. He's doing well so far. Just FYI

I remember being dared to pee on an electric fence in my youth, I'm still here so you know I didn't take that dare

If You took the grandkid out of the equation, it is almost exactly my story. 2 years ago my son and I were geared up to go to Squid's Maintenance Day. His Honda Shadow wouldn't turn over, and so since we live on an incline I got off my bike, took off my helmet and push started him. The bike started immediately, but I couldn't stop running. I tried to aim for the neighbors grass but fell full speed into the curb, right shoulder first. Even with my heavily armored leather Gericke jacket, I still broke my humerus. I still feel it when it gets cold. I feel your pain literally.. The best physical therapy for it is to attach a small rope and pulley up high ( garage or top of door) take 1 hand on each end of the rope and verrry slooowly pull down with the good shoulder as you raise the bad one with the rope. First directly to the front, then to the side, then backwards raising the arm higher as you can handle it. Another is to stand close enough to touch a wall and walk your fingers up the wall keeping your shoulder down, the same way, first in front, then to the side, then to the rear. It doesn't matter if it is partially torn, fully torn or broken, the exercises are the same and do it as soon as possible, a frozen shoulder happens pretty fast

Thunder Mfg says $81 for their special "stage 3" Jets

My son has an 01 V-star 1100 and bought an aftermarket air filter intake system called a Thunder Charger (similar to a Kuryaken). He was told by the seller to drill out 3 holes in the exhaust and bolt on the new filter system. It runs like crap now (of course) I am sure he has a lot less resistance both on intake and exhaust now which is causing it to run so poorly. will a trip to the bike shop to adjust the carbs fix this, or should I tell him to bite the bullet and reinstall the old air filter housing?

Eck, did you ever get your patent? and are you going to sell them or make a kit available? Also is that Extra battery there to power all the Safety Bling you had on the Venture?
