Having many bikes in my lifetime and now my first Harley I would hope my attitude and mannerisms will remain the same as they always have been. You can come over and talk to me anytime Abdul. lol I have never judged by the bike but by the persons actions and attitude toward others.

Very Nice. Always nice to get new toys. Enjoy to the fullest.

I have had my 2014 flhtk ultra limited for a couple of weeks now and really like it a lot. It is a more straight up and down seating for the driver for sure. Never noticed a wind difference yet and my wife also says it is roomier on the back. It is hard for me to compare to my old 2004 Venture because 4 cylinders and a drive shaft made it smoother all around. One thing I do not miss is the heavy front end of the Venture. The Harley feels so much more nimble at slow speeds. I would like to ride a twin cylinder bike of the same size in a metric to compare the smoothness of idle. Once moving the Harley is pretty smooth. As to whom can afford one I am not sure as it is the most money I have ever spent on a vehicle but it was on my bucket list and I am not getting any younger. I just spent my kids inheritance. Lol

Congratulations. I know the feeling. I just purchased a 2014 same color a couple of weeks ago because of a lifetime want as well. It is such a beauty with this color. ( see post sad day but new toy) Enjoy and my wife also said she has more room.

I will definitely keep everyone posted as we get to know our new toy Scott. The weather has turned to crap again up here so may be a while before we are on her again. We will most likely ride it as it is without any mods for a while at least. Not sure about the high output but going to meet previous owner on Thursday for some toys he took off it and now wont fit on his new CVO. Lucky me. I will ask him about that. I know what you mean about the entertainment centre. It needs a manual of its own. lol Still working this one out as well.

I will give you an opinion Don but even with the short ride I have had it is totally different than the Venture. I was looking for a different ride or I would have bought another Venture or kept mine. Plus you know I have always wanted a Harley and made no bones about telling people that. It is the same weight but feels so much lighter and easier to handle at slow speeds. As far as dealership issues I did not deal much with Yamaha dealers so it will be hard to compare. I had an independent garage work on my Venture. Could not find a better guy so the Harley dealer has a lot to live up to. Will let you know as we put on the miles what it is like compared to the Venture. Thanks for the comment Don. Wait till you see it live. Pictures do not do it full justice.

Yes I wished I could have kept both as well but it just wasn't possible with the high cost of insurance and other stuff. I really liked the Venture as well.

After wanting a Harley most of my life I finally took the plunge on Easter Monday. Now thanks to Cowpucs kind words on another post by Marcarl. I have decided to give my new toy its own post. I have since sold my 2004 Venture and after 11 years I will miss it, but it went to a fellow that I know will cherish it as much as I did. So here is the new ride. 2014 FLHTK Ultra Limited (MT. Rushmore) in Mysterious red sunglo and blackend cayenne sunglo. It is not the CVO but it does have LED lighting on the bike. The previous owner is a salesman at the dealership and has put a few extra toys on it for me so that is good.I have only ridden it home from the dealer around 50 miles but I can say that it is a different ride for sure. I will not try and compare it to the Venture because it is so different and different is what I was looking for.

Thanks for your comments Cowpuc but I am not one for posting a lot so that is why you see the info here in Marcarls thread. He started it by wanting pictures posted. To answer some of your questions here goes. it is a limited with the water cooled heads ( MT. Rushmore) Not a Cvo but has led lighting on the bike. Wife followed me in the car a while and said it was lit up perfectly in the rear as well. The Color is Mysterious red sunglo, and Blackened Cayenne sunglo. It has metal flake that just gleams in the sun. It was sold used and owned by a salesman at the dealership and he had put some chrome toys on it already so that helps me. Lol I have wanted a Harley for forty years and always talked my self out of one every year. After I bought the 2004 Venture I was very satisfied with that ride for the last 11 years. I still looked at Harley's every year and this year I just could not resist this bike. As you have said it is a beauty and as I am turning 60 this year I made the decision to buy it. I hope it treats me as well as the Venture did. It is a total different ride.

No I think we will keep Relic, Carl. The handle fits. Maybe Yamaha will look at some of the features of this bike Jay and develop another great touring bike. 11 years and I really liked the Venture.
-
I am hoping to enjoy it as much as I have the Venture for the last eleven years. Only a short ride yesterday but it is definitely a different ride. Not even sure it should be compared to the Venture for so many reasons. I will miss my Venture for sure. A lifelong bucket list want and I am not getting any younger. We will enjoy this bike too. Wife loves it and it will be part of our retirement plans now. It has been said many times here that it is the people on this site that makes it so good and not necessarily the bike you ride. I will continue to keep in touch with all the friends I have made through this site and hope that you will keep in touch also.

This is so sad. I met Eddie first time in Vogel and a couple of times after that. He was always friendly towards Dianne and myself and we looked forward to seeing him again down the road. Our thoughts and prayers for the family at this time of sorrow. A great guy to have left us this young.

Just went to settings and highlighted ignore Ebay listings and they are no longer showing up. Thanks Don. Going to take a while to learn all this. I am not as sharp as I was once anymore. ha

Just learning to navigate the new site but it looks to me I only get them in the articles tab and not in forums. Ok with me. Spoke too fast as I just went to new posts in forums tab and it is full of ebay listings?
