  1. Here it says dry! Yellow is dry, black is wet. Bryan
  2. I found this on a Kawasaki form. Might be the same as a Yamaha? It says wings, kawy's, yamy's and some hd's? Info for the wiring harness or headset: J&M Corporation Part # HI-11 headset junction lead kit for Kawasaki Voyager XII http://www.jmcorp.com/ The radio end is a 6 pin DIN: 1 front mike 2 mike ground 3 speaker ground 4 right speaker 5 left speaker 6 rear mike The helmet ends are 5 pin DINs: 1 mike (front for rider, rear for passenger) 2 mike ground 3 speaker ground 4 right speaker 5 left speaker The pinout on the 5 pin connector on the back of the tape deck is numbered in an unusual manner, as follows: 2 5 4 3 1 This would be looking at the connecter on the back of the unit from outside the case. Don't know if the posts are numbered on the connector or not. Only 3 of the five pins are used. Beginning at the keyway, going clockwise: 3 -- Left channel + output 5 -- Right channel + output 2 -- ground ( - ) common to both channels 4 -- not used 1 -- not used Here's more info about the connectors, retrieved from the Voyager forum: There is an 8 Pin DIN plug that exits the Clarion Sytems at the rear and has a brown band on it. That is where the "factory" CB unit connects. The pin-outs are as follows: Pin 1 Ground brown (wire) Pin 2 Squelch Signal (N/A for external CB) green Pin 3 CB Audio out (Ext. CB Audio into Clarion) blue Pin 4 Push to Talk (Ext. switch on handlebar that puts ext. CB into transmit and switches the Clarion system from listen to talk--two seperate circuits needed. Double Pole single throw switch) white Pin 5 Drivers Mic (Audio from drivers mic to ext. CB mic circuit) yellow Pin 6 Accessory (N/A with external CB) red Pin 7 Not used Pin 8 Ground black There are two pigtail cables exiting the rear of the Clarion unit. One for the intercom and the other for the CB interface. Both have female DIN connectors; a 6 pin for the intercom and an 8 pin for the CB. In order to connect directly, one has to have a male DIN plug. The pins are labeled on the inside of the plugs where the wires are soldered. It should not be a problem to establish the correct wiring pattern when you are ready to connect the wires. Most CBs have a provision for connecting ext. mics and speakers as well as PTT. If the unit you have supports these external devices, you should be able to get it connected and working through the Clarion system on the Voyager. __________________
  3. I have pulled trailers for years behind a few different bikes "small and large campers to a 12 foot john boat". What you are talking about "when you first start out to turn right or left the front end wobbles" is to me pretty normal if you think about it. The bike is on two wheels and the trailer is "pulling" at the rear of the rear wheel at an angle going around a corner. When you straighten out it is fine and you probably forget it is even there (till you stop). The weight of the trailer will pull harder on your bike and at an angle it is intensified. Once you are moving you have momentum and you will not have the "wobble" at road speed or corners on the road. You will want to watch where you are turning, pot holes will give you a jolt also and gravel or sand will scare the bejebees out of you. LOL All in all after you pull your new trailer for a while you will get better and have an under standing of what some conditions will do. A good habit to get into is when at a stop light/sign and going to make a turn is start out going straight for a few more feet before you make the turn, this will help stop what you are experiencing. Ride safe and enjoy your new trailer. Bryan

  10. Scooter Bob, That ride belongs to Iowawegian, "Deb and husband Gary". He built it, got the tool box from Tractor Supply or Orschilens. Put in the lights and bolted it to his hitch. Looks like it worked pretty good! Sorry you didn't make it. We had people representing the great states of Illinois, Iowa, Minnesota and Wisconsin. Maybe next time? I think I will try to hit one in another state if I can. It was fun and I met a lot of real good people and found a member that I may have diamond cut my jugs on my bike! See you later, Bryan
  11. Thanks Blusee for getting this going and Cougar for setting us up at Ducky's, food was great! Had a GREAT time!! Met a lot of great people and can't wait for the next one! Bryan
  12. I have bought (new) bikes from 5 different dealers here in Iowa and everyone of them has let me test ride. If the bike is new and has not been prepped yet (gas & oil) they ask if I could come back tomorrow. I have had dealers let me test ride Victories and Harleys "new ones" and knew I had no intention of buying one then. Must be a where you live thing I guess? Bryan
  13. I purchased my 05 Venture in New York last fall. Had a friend with me. I had already sent $500 deposit in mail to the man. I had my cashiers check that I let him see and then gave to my friend to hold and gave the owner my drivers license. I took the bike for a 2 mile ride and came back and purchased it. I have bought 9 bikes to date and that was the first "out of state" deal I have ever done. I have took a bike home for the weekend before and then purchased it. Not sure I would buy it if I couldn't ride it. I always take a cage for a drive? Bryan

  19. Cougar, Found this on another site. Hope it helps? This is the power plate that I'm installing... the universal at; http://www.electricalconnection.com/power-distribution/pplate.htm Here is where I mounted mine. http://www.venturers.org/Tech_Library/attachments/term_block.jpg Don Roden I conncted my powerplate in the same location wired to the rear acessory terminal (white plug) on the left side under the seat. By doing that the juice to the plate shuts down with the ignition switch. I did'nt want to come out and find a dead battery because I forgot to turn an accessory wired to the plate off. So far......so good - sgtglenn
