  1. Michael I would say it is possibly a "DCL" 24V 1.2 amp, look here at the Schematics of it. Wire colors are right for your pictures. You could order a new one from them and install it after repairing what the "shade tree" screwed up? Hope this helps. Bryan
  2. He sent me a PM and it had the price in it. Dang, I hope it was him?
  3. Randy, The money has been sent through Pay-Pal for two motorcycle sized frames. I put my address in with the payment. Thanks for the service! Bryan
  4. If you are worried about interest, I would like 2 motorcycle size. Our trailer plates are same size as the bike. As for fish scale or brushed ???????? What ever the majority want, I like both. Bryan
  5. RJLAMO, A Good post! And I am with you. It is about safety, and how you ride. And with that said, I would think "one" would have to see you ride and how you ride before ever calling you "Foolish". I ride and drive totally different when pulling a trailer in "ANY" vehicle, you have to. I have pulled many trailers with many different "motorcycles" over 34 years from a Honda XL 350 to the RSV I have to day, 14 different bikes, sizes, and brands all together. I had to make most of my hitches cause no one else did. Made my first hitch for the XL 350 to pull the lawn mower from one farm to another, yes on gravel roads too. Back then you never seen motorcycles pulling trailers and I got a lot of funny looks. "Like stupid kid is going to kill himself". Now you see people all over the world pull trailers with motorcycles. Even some of the "old" guys that use to look at me funny. I pull two grain wagons to the elevator full of grain all the time, which also exceeds the GVW of the pick-up. But then so do ALL the other farmers I have ever seen. But if I drove the truck like I had no wagons / trailers then that would be "foolish". I have drove semis for a number of years also. With most "legal" loads, being nearly 3 times the tow vehicle/tractors weight. So I would say I have much more trailer experience than "some". If some new what was holding the semi trailer to the tractors, you would not drive on the roads with them. I had the Honda Spirit 1100 in for service this spring and asked the dealer to check the brakes and install new ones if he had to. He said brakes were fine. WOW, 11 years 38,000 miles of trailer time with it and "NO" need for brakes? Must drive sensible, and not on the brakes all the time? NAW, just "luck" or the stupid dealer did not want to make an extra buck and wanted me to get killed so he could be sued. Yep that's it. It amazes me that some judge everything in black in white and don't take into account anyone's experience or skill. Yes in most things in life you must have skill, luck will not get you by. If you don't feel safe, if you don't feel comfortable, then by all means, DO NOT DO IT! And that goes with EVERYTHING in life. Enjoy what you have and life in general. Bryan
  6. Sorry but I just have to add my two cents to this. I built my trailer and loaded with ALL our stuff it weighs in at 896lbs (with no beer & ice in the cooler) on our local elevator scales. And I only had about 15 to 20 lbs of tong weight the whole trip. I never have more than that unless the cooler is full. I have pulled this trailer with my Honda Shadow Spirit the same way for 11 years. It only has 56hp and it pulled and pulls it fine. I just got back from the Badlands and Black Hills of South Dakota and ran the interstate across SD with the cruse set at 80mph (all the faster the cruse would work) and the bike purred like a kitten and trailer pulled straight and true. Was our first "long" trip with the "05" RSV, "wife says there will be many more as she loves the RSV. When we were heading out to SD we were on I29 south of Sioux City and it was raining hard on us. I had just put NEW Avon s on, front and rear for the trip that most everyone on the site raves about. When I passed a camper the RSV front wheel took a one foot jump to the left then instantly back to the right. YES it was the "High speed wobble"! .... I learned to ride on plowed fields and gravel roads and ditches. So this "to me" was like loose gravel or riding the furrow in the field only at 75mph. It did not scare me until I pulled into the rest area to see if the new tire went flat or what the heck happened. At this point I was mad that the bike did this. That is when I thought CRAP I could have killed us both. I ask my wife if she was scared or wanted to not ride for a while or what she was thinking. She told me after seeing how other people ride and riding with me for 18 years, she was not scared at all, and knows if anything was to happen to us on the bike then it would have to be an act of God cause she knows I would pull it out some how cause I am weird that way? Not sure if it hydroplaned or hit one of the thousand or so "tar snakes" on that road. Or I was told in South Dakota that Avon s puts a coating on the tires and I should have road at least 500 miles before ever riding in the rain. Not sure if that is true or not but that is what the dealer said when I took it in to make sure nothing was wrong that I could not see. The rest of the trip was uneventful except for Wyoming roads and those tar snakes. Man I have never had any bike hate the tar snakes as bad as this RSV does. It just wants to follow the tar, not where I want it to go. What's up with that? Is that something that the "leveling kit" for the rear shock, would cure? Anyway, morel of the story is DON'T GIVE UP. If we would have baled we would be dead, as it was, we had a GREAT trip! Bryan.........Who thinks everyone should learn to ride in the plowed fields!

  10. Hey Deb, What route are you taking and what time are you leaving Iowa? Bryan
  11. Mine is bike only, could have 3 more states on there but was only in states for 5 or 10 miles. Felt like I was cheating if I put them on. Unless that is OK with the rest then I would. Bryan
  12. Does it have fuel? And is the pet-cock turned on? Bryan
  13. I like what you did with the paint scheme! Way to think outside the box! And where did you find the pin striping? I have been looking around for a while and they are always way to big for a bike. Bryan
  14. Snaggletooth, You did a great job, she looks better than new. I work in Omaha every other week, "have to drive the company pick-up they will not let me take the bike." I will have to try to get hold of you sometime and see her in person? Maybe a late supper? We work late over there sometimes till 7 or 8 pm. Enjoy the ride! Bryan
  15. Lonna, Pay-Pal sent "I think" for 1 black and 1 silver. Figured I could make up my mind better that way. Thank you, Bryan
  16. Hey glad it helped you out. Hope you enjoy the trailer and have many happy campies. Bryan

  19. Buddy, I saw them too but did you notice,, if you looked up around the HD's broke down, all the "Vultures" that were circling? I stopped at a couple of them but they said they had a trailer or a pick-up coming. Saw and stopped at one on the side on highway 79 south of Hannibal, MO heading back to Iowa. He said he didn't need any help but ask why I had a tool box with a rice burner? So I told him most of my friends had Harley's, so someone has to have reliable transportation to repair them. It is amazing how much he lacked in sense of humor? Bryan : Who has reliable transportation, and enjoys it!
  20. A big thanks to Bill & Linda!! We had a great time. Great roads over to Herman, MO. Got to meet a lot of people to put faces to. Freinds Danny & Patsy said they had a great time too and wanted me to pass it along!! Had a dry ride home to Iowa and looking to doing it again? Thanks again, Bryan
  21. We will be leaving Oskaloosa Thursday at 9:00am. Stopping by freinds house to throw their stuff in the trailer, fire up his bike and then down to see the "Arch"! Will check into Red Roof after that and meet at 7:00pm at "Cracker Barrel". I can't wait, going to have fun!! Everyone drive safe!!!! See you there. Bryan
  22. Great pictures Redneck! If you want to say a few more days and get some more that would be fine with me. Bryan
  23. The 17 stands for the "WEEK" it was made, which turns out to be in April, "if you want to count them all up". At least that is how I came up with it. Bryan
  24. Thanks for the heads up! We ride in ILL quite often. Have a great day. Bryan
  25. Bill, We have our rooms at the Red Roof Inn reserved for the 7th, 8th, & 9th. I was wondering if I could leave my trailer that I will be dragging down behind the bike with all our suit cases and stuff in it at your place? Just would not want to leave it at motel all day while on our rides. And don't want to pull it with us on the rides. If not OK, that's cool. Can't wait for Thursday! Thanks, Bryan
