I got the same thing "5 pin round". Mine is mounted to bottom of hitch. Not sure I like it there, as the first time I pulled the trailer and un-hooked it,,, well lets say I forgot to un-hook the plug cause I didn't see it, and then I sat in the dark with the wife holding a flash light "giggling" as I re-wired it. I bet it will be,,,,, cool? But hey, that is what the camp fire and BS at the end of day are for, to take off the chill. Bryan

Well, Annie and us went for a ride to Missouri. Only road about 20 miles in Missouri cause Annie forgot her helmet and I didn't have an extra. Annie said Iowa was all corn and beans, I said NOT TRUE! So I took Annie to see the GIANT fans Iowa has. Remember what I told you the fans are for Annie? A. To blow the clouds out of the state. (Notice clear Iowa and foggy Missouri) B. Due to the decline of bee's, the fans blow the pollen from plant to plant. C. The fans are for the poor unfortunates, that don't have a motorcycle. D. You can't fool an Aussie, everyone knows they are not fans but actually pin-wheels used to make the state purdy. E. None of the above, (Iowa blows!) This next weekend I will be taking Annie to the "Leaf-lookers weekend in Wisconsin" and let her go home with someone else for a while. There is only so much to show Annie in Iowa. Bryan

Not sure if anyone noticed, but here is Annie's schedule that she wrote > My bike is booked, and deposit paid http://venturerider.org/forum/images/smilies/happy34.gif We went to see a travel agent the other day, and she suggested waiting to see if there are any deals going at end of year, or just after Christmas. Our rough itinerary at the moment is: 25th May 2011: Fly to San Francisco 26th: Local flight to Cleveland -- hire car and drive to Oberlin. 26th May to 30th June: Freebirds MD?? That way we are there for last weekend in May, or any weekend in June and we can work in with his time, then we can tour a little in car for rest of time. 1st to 13th July:???????????????? Make our way to Portland 14th: Pick up bike in Portland (purchase trailer)** Buy used cruiser for Alan to ride (hopefully on buy-back deal)**-- and head for International Rally in Cody!!!! After rally we head off ?? to tour and catch up with as many VR members as we can. Back in Portland by 10-11th September (prepare bike for shipping) leave trailer for VR.org to raffle. Fly home ?? 14th September 2011. If you set the date for the 21st Don I can't protect you from Annie. She will be soooooo, PO'ed. You're on your own there boss!! Bryan

If we are with a group and we stop for an hour lunch and a few have 1 or 2 beers No problem. If we stop in an hour and the same have another 2 beers? If we stop in another hour and they have another 2 . We stay put, for a bit. They tend to ride from one stop to the next at 80 to 90 on 2 lane 55mph roads. Ah yes the mighty "Poker rides" for charity of all things! Was Sargent of arms / head of security. NO I didn't try to STOP the drinking. I tried to stop the 80 to 90mph to the next stop. Got kicked out for trying to save a life or two. So now we don't ride with them. Still have friends there, but then I am more forgiving than Mama. We tend to enjoy the RIDE not the buzz. Am I against drinking? Heck NO I drink myself. Do I say anything to someone that IS acting impaired? YES! Do I care if they get pi$$ed? NO, it just may be my kid or yours that got their life saved. OK that was my Bryan

Annie, Happy to do that for you, but it's one of those things that you just got to see in person and touch it. It just is an indescribable feeling you get when you reed about the Rock and then see it in person. If you go through Iowa when you get here, it is just a mile south of the interstate 80. It is sooooo cool! Any given day will have semis, cars, motorcycles and I even seen a bus there once. Take care and I hope I get to meet you when you get here. I had the pleasure of getting to see the south-east part of your country and LOVED it. Bryan

OK here we go, first took Annie to work with me in Omaha, NE. Took her to see the only Iowa town (Carter Lake), on the Nebraska side of the Missouri river. Things were going pretty good so I took Annie to Bass Pro. I got a couple of things and she looked like she was having fun. When we left I showed Annie some "Art" (cough, cough) that the great state of Iowa paid something like 4.2 million for. :rotfl: I needed some stuff from Cabela's also, so we drove over there. That is when she slipped away from me. Found her about 10 min later up on a BIG old Grizzly bear. Had him by both ears yelling OI, OI, OI, OI. Not sure what the he77 all that was about, but managment and a couple of security guards didn't like it and took us out side. Can't believe I got kicked out of Cabela's! Not sure if it is that one store or the whole chain? Anyway on the way back to Oskaloosa we stopped by Freedom Rock. If you have not been there you need to stop by on the way through. Saturday we are heading down to Missouri and take a picture there. So stay tuned! Bryan

Deb, Glad to hear that! I am "planning" on getting there late afternoon on Thursday the 7th. Getting a fire started and cooking some chili for anyone that comes in "and wants some" Thursday night. I get up early also, and plan on cooking some (sausage, hash-browns, eggs and cheese all mixed together) at least one morning. Anyone that wants to eat can or they can go to the restaurant, their choice. Need to find out if anyone wants to grill burgers or brats for supper? Bill said he has a good meat market by him that he could get some meat at too. (More time to sit around the fire and BS & drink and tell lies and not worry about riding while "feeling good", if you know what I mean? Bryan

WOW, I can't see the difference of what you did and perfect? Looks like a dang fine job to me! GREAT job! Bryan -
I myself like this quote, > "I will not judge other bikers on their choice of machine, their appearance, or their profession. I will judge them only on their conduct as bikers." And pretty much live by it too. Don't care what you ride, just ride. That's not to say I won't give a good ribbing here or there, and would expect to get the same back. Was getting gas once outside Milwaukee, WI had my trailer, (looks like a Snap-on tool box) when a group of 30 to 40 bikes pulled in. All had MC vests (Don't remember the name, "don't care") and 6 or 7 were walking around my trailer and bike looking at them. Leader? Says you build that? I said yes, he says looks cool but why a tool box pulled with a rice burner? (Somebody slams me I'm going to slam them back.) So I told him most of my friends have HD's and someone has to have reliable transportation to go fix them. (He laughed and under stood he ribbed me, and I got him back.) He then told me and the wife to come over to the bar and they would buy us drinks. Bryan

I made a purchase from them, and had Chad call me after purchase was made. Chad was sorry, but a couple of my parts were no longer available. Chad then checked all over the country for me and gave me the name of a "Competitor" that may have one. Long story short I have my part and Chad helped me get it even though he did not get the sale! What a great place, to put the "Customer" first, instead of the dealership! My kind of place to shop!! 4 sure! Bryan

Well I was working in Omaha this week and walked through Cabela's. Was looking at camp grills and cast-iron stuff. And am now a proud owner of a 18"X36" grill to put over the fire and a deep skillet to cook breakfast in. So I am all ready for the fun. Bryan
