  4. I have used the pureone PL14612 filter for 5 years. Chanced oil and filter this week cranked and let it idle for a minute or so, saw no leak at first, then oil leak at filter. Was tight, found that the filter was bottom out and not sealing. Removed and noted that the center was not concave as previous was. Went to parts house and checked the others in stock. They had the same problem. Went with the fram for now, no leak. Be cautious!!
  5. Same to you and all.
  6. 100 ft. No problem with decent cable. You need to use a audio switcher, if you leave the audio output from the laptop hooked up it will degrade the signal for it will change the impedance on that input and vice-versa. You can find some reasonable priced switch on line, also you can buy a 100ft. RCA cable. Check out Markertek.com, b&hphoto. If you buy a cable and switcher that has the composite video and your TV has composite video in (yellow), you could send pictures from laptop to TV. Just a thought.

  8. I use the PureOne PL14612, a very good filter.
  9. I used the Kuryakyn Footpeg Offsets mounts. Able to adjust the pegs further forward or down. Worked good for me.
  10. Thanks to all I have 69,000 miles on bike, and head bearing were removed and relubed around 26,000. I have checked Head bearing and adjusted per process I found on here. Will be later this week to try inspecting shocks. I did do a short ride today with no air in front shocks, may have been a small change, but we are having some fairly gusty wind today, won,t judge till I can ride further. Any body else that has and idea, chime in please. Again Thanks to All, will post when I find it.
  11. 2003 RSV, Having problem of bike not staying on track. Seems to run right, I correct runs left etc... Noticed front and rear tire scalloping, replaced tires this week, still same problem. Checked all wheel bearing. I have worn out 2 sets of E3 with no problem, till now. Can not recall hitting any bad holes in the road. Today I decided to try with no air in front forks, even 2.5lbs in both forks, when I let out air some oil came out. Could this be my problem?
  12. When spund it should hardly ever stop in the same place. When you remounted tire did you line up dot with valve stem?

  14. Pro Fix Stripped Threads The way I have always done stripped bolt holes is to install a HeliCoil. It is a thread replacement device that you drill out and tap the hole for the Helicoil to be installed. This lets you use the original size bolt. You can pick up a kit that will contain the Coil, Drill bit and tap. They are available at most Auto parts stores. If unsure what size you need take a bolt with you and match up. The link below is a site that gives good info on use and installation http://www.repairengineering.com/helicoil.html

  16. I just went through this with my horns. Test the horn straight to battery, WOW, the horn not working worked! The horn switch carries all the current for the horns, no relay. Contacts in the switch not getting enought current to the horns. Installed a relay to supply ground for horn circuit, stock horns are loud now. Use the horn switch to activate the relay. Cleaning switch will work for awhile but problem will return. NOTE: The horn behind the left flairing pulls 2amps, higher frequency horn, the horn on the right side at rear of engine pulls 4amps, low frequency. Best of Luck
  17. I'm looking where do you find them for $10 to $20 a set? DMW
  18. Their is a switch that requires no switch, you use your highbeem switch to activate the switch, which operates a relay. A visual LED blinks rapidly during the timed "window" up to 10 seconds long when you should release the trigger signal (high beam switch). The single tap to flash the high beams or leaving the high beams on will not activate the Autoswitch. LED shines green to indicate power to your auxiliary lights relay. I used their AS5P model. They have dealer list on their site. Link Below http://www.autoswitch.com/ Directions look diffilcult but fairly simple.
