Hey Brad Yup, your right. Our HR department sent out the new and improved Cell phone policy. Any violation, is at your own cost, and potentially discipline if appropriate.

Just bought one on line and awaiting it to show up. Prior one was a 265WT with the RAM mount. I installed on the Trottle side with the U bolt and 4" extenstion. Worked fine in that place. Not waterproof, but a good baggie will keep the rain out if encountered. May change to the Clutch lever side when it arrives, as it is closer to the outlet to us a USB Cig liter unit to keep it powered up.

Reiny What did you pick up for use in your vehicle? My work is insisting we either use a bluetooth head set or some other hands free device. Need to connect it to my Blackberry. Thanks for any info

We recently bought 2 of the comm cord adaptors from Big Ear that allow you to connect in ear cannal phones. With a premium ear phone, and a good fit in the ear, we found this to be amazing to reduce road noise, improve audio and communication sound and also, allowed us to keep the IC # down to around 8 or 9 max. Worth the investment and little extra time to get all the gear on for a ride.

So, I think I blew a fuse for the 12v cigarette plug in the left side of the fairing. No fuse in the "fuse" box. Where might I find this thing hiding so I can replace the dead fuze? Thanks

We currently ride with the J&M short helmet insert HS-ICD284-HHU Shorty Slide-in head set and then a J&M Cord with the 8 pin to 5 pin patch cord. Works great. Watch which model as they have a high-output version for Harley's. You will want the standard output for Yamaha/Goldwing/Etc. http://www.jmcorp.com/ProductDetail.asp?ProductID=HS-ICD284-HHU&PF=12 This is the patch cord #HC-PC to be used with: 1983-2009 Yamaha®, Kawasaki® and Suzuki® 5-pin audio systems.

Bluetooth Wireless set/communications

When figuring out wired headsets for helmets, we tried the IMC set, and found the headset did not fit very well and not good ear/speaker sound. Also too large for my petite spouse. Thanks,- 34 replies

Bluetooth Wireless set/communications

I am using the slide in J&M shorty helmet set now with wired to the bike (5-pin) works well. Just I am trying to be wireless and not tied into the bike. Hence looking at bluetooth for a shorty helmet. As for CONDOR, KISS is the best way, but with the wind in the face, good tunes on the bike and quality conversation with you spouse as the back seat passenger, it just doesn't get better. Besides , keeping an eye out for the "YA-WHOO's" out on the road is just natural. Keep the rubber side down and shiney side up off the pavement. Steve- 34 replies

Bluetooth Wireless set/communications

Thanks for the insight. I do think the J&M wired has very good clarity, even with wind noise through the shorty helments. I may try the BigEar adaptor for the plug so I can use the high end ear buds I have to see if it make an improvement. Steve- 34 replies

So, since I started this thread, I'm still trying to figure out this bluetooth and wireless stuff. And more importantly, fit to shorty style helmets? Has anyone had success in this? J&M (very costly) Scala Rider (not sure if they fit). Would like to eliminate the wiring into the bike if possible. Thanks for any comment or in-sight you might provide.- 34 replies

Well, tonight is looking like rain, just like at the moment. Wednesday Canada day is slated for 70% chance of rain. Unless it clears or reduces the % of rain, we won't be making our way to Carl's. Rain is my worst enemy and unfortunately, fair weather riders. Enjoy your Canada Day, Eh! Steve

Well, found the issue. Cracked fuse in the small fuze holder, under the seat. Must have happened when I put the seat back on after installing the alarm system. Thanks for the earlier comments. Steve

Looking for some help. The front light bar, stopped working. Switch? wiring? in the fairing? Any suggestions on a best place to start looking? Where do I find the fuses in the bike? Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.

So, if this the plan, were would "the new guy" find you on Wednesday? Just looked at the weather, and looks like rain all week, but you know the weather, like the stock market , always a roller coaster! Would be joining up, if all works our for us from Waterloo. Steve

So, is the tour going next week on June 30? Or is there a Canada day route planned for Wednesday? Would tag along. No holidays planned for us.

This trip sounds great, but not in the plans this weekend. Away for work. Now, if it was next weekend or on the 2-4 long weekend, we would be in. Any other plans, let us know. Steve

Hey Troy, See you here on the site. Great work! Order for my Venture coming in the next week or so. We need to connect, and will call you. Steve S Waterloo, Ont. -
Just having some fun. Riding through to London Friday and Saturday for work this weekend. Looking like some good weather. Back to the topic. Troy's leather work looks awesome. He is easy to deal with in Florida and pricing is good for custom. I have him doing some work for me in the very near future. California tank bra, with a removeable pocket/pouch, and then a pair of saddlebag leather top covers. Will post the photos when done. Will have to take the rubber centre tank bib off to make work.
