Our congratulations on the happy 26th!. Michele and I will mark ours next week, on May 19th. Guess you beat us by one week. But hey, 26 years ago today, the weather if I remember was quite the day! Like last weekend M&E. Enjoy, Steve and Michele

So with the new Zumo 665 out, and at a heavy price, any one have any comments yet if they are using this unit? Literally an all in one unit, GPS , XM statelite, blue tooth and all the feature of the 660. Looking for feed back before I start looking to lighten up my wallet on the price. Thanks

Hi Carl Great to hear the day is now Wednesday. At a conference tomorrow, but likely on the next one (May 12). Will put the address in the GPS-Sally and have her point us to your place NEXT week. Have a great ride tomorrow.

Thanks Boys, Yup, seems like the instruction to wire colours was wrong and connected to the incorrect color codes. As for cut and solder, something to be done in the very, very near future. And the advise for the wiring behind the plate on the backrest and trunk back, THANKS! Would not have done that until I need to remover the "MOBILE BEER COOLER" , oh, the trunk. Thanks for the advise. Put on a sweet looking trunk rack with this as well from American Motorcycle Accessories. Billet style gear, that is awesome looking over the chrome tubing rack. Keep the rubber on the road!

Looking for advice. Installed a yamaha wing on the trunk lid with brake light in it. As such, the wiring is not the best. I have connected wiring per the directions. Did the check and lights are on as running light, but will not come on "bright" when brake applied. Any comments? On a side note, the means to connect the wires to the bike, seem a rather cheap and not reliable means, but can work. Any feedback or comments appreciated.

I pondered the same questions. IN our Shorty Helmets, we run J&M with the shorty insert. Not the best for hearing, with wind through the helment ear curtain, but reasonable considering the application and condition. We actually use in ear canal buds in this set up, and make if the best possible. IN our new HJC, I just installed EdSets, and to the moment, I am satisfied with the first running. I do need to move the "mini" speakes in my helmet to fit over the ear, vs , where the cut out is in the helmet shell. Feature I really like on EdSets, is the ability to plug in ear bud to the control top or, if not connecting to the Bike, use this to connect an IPod or MP3. Warranty, looks like the new G3 units by EdSets is 3 years, versus J&M 1 year? Stands behind his quality. Other feature, is you want move the EdSet to other helmets, really only need the 3M Dual Lock tape on the other helmetn and move the control top, then us ear buds. Mic is removable (if this the style you order) and there by can listing to the tunes, and not be bothered by mic boom. Will update, when we have run the sets longer. First impression, good stuff from EdSets.

Thanks Gary Will figure out shipping and getting into Canada cost to see the final price. Looks to be a authorized yamaha dealer. Found a similar dealer in New Jersey as well. Steve

SO, have been shopping and in Canada, the dealers what a TON of $$$'s for these. Any suggestion on an online US place to buy and ship from? Is there a difference from the Yamaha Genuine accessory to the aftermarket knock-offs? Any help would be great. Need to complete the "chrome treatments" of the '05. Thanks

We use J&M set for Shorty helmet in our lids and work great. Since we are on to new lids in the next week going to see if the EdSets will fit and still be usefull on Shorty helmet. We tend to use in ear canal earphones and the plug in set up on EdSets look to be a really good solution for this type set up. Also, then can ride the summer without the side liner for the short to hold speakers.

Thanks for the tip, The Canadian supplier from Quebec only had a 1/2 pint available (last drop for now) so, ordered and arriving tomorrow. Body shop will be able to do the clear coat. Appreciate the tip! Steve

Thanks for the comments and tips. I will get a pint or quart and find a body shop to do the paint "professional" job. I agree, my shakey hand won't do the paint justice!

Looking for some assistance. I am looking for paint source/supplier that is a match the '05 Liquid Silver of my bike. I have a rear spoiler that is black, needing to paint it to match the Silver Grey of the trunk before mounting. Any suggestions? Spray can likely is ideal, but not sure the quality finish it might produce. Thanks for any help or suggestions.

Hey Don I'm not using a ZUMO, but the 765T Garmin and using the RAM mount. SO fitting actually will go welll over the Audio Pod on the '05. Hope to get it mounted by the weekend.

Hey Saw this thread. I have one of these to install/replace on the reservoir. Then will use the RAM arm to attach. Remove the U-bolt install off the handlebar. Will let you know how it goes on the bike and how is handles. http://www.motorcyclelarry.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=11&products_id=8 Steve

Hey Bob just because the clock changes, doesn't change the "body" clock! Get more work done before 8:30 am then some people in an entire day! Happy CLOCK change Day! Thanks for the advise on the storeage.

So, with the cold and bad weather coming soon here in Ontario, I need a recommendation for a fuel stabilizer for the bike. Not storing at the same place as last year. They did this work for me, SO I will be storeage prep and store this year in a family member's garage. Suggestions welcomed. Thanks

This is the same system I installed last year. Great system. Only item, is if the bike sit for long period of time and not charging the battery, the alarm may go off. Otherwise, very, very happy with my set up. Easy install for sure!

I installed the Scorpion system with the FM pager since I need to park the bike in a public lot at work. Perimeter alarm, ignition kill and notify if sensors activated. I'm happy with it.

Wayne, After getting home, was at total of 500 Km in total. What a fantastic run, great country side, and company by the group on the tour. Thank you for putting the day together. And ride back to Waterloo, along the might GRAND River, was a great end to a spectacular day. Now, we have to figure out who "weatherman" is , and need to get him on the web site? He brought out the fine summer weather yesterday. Thanks Steve and Michele
