I have 2 sheilds from F4. Shortie/wide/no vent and a Regular/wide/with vent. They are the BEST shield IMHO. The boys at F4 know their stuff, process the order quickly and on the scooter in about a week. Rock hard/scratch resistant. When getting gas, I will often use the Gas Bar windshield squeagie to clear the bugs. No Issue! Call Don or Frank at F4. They will hook you up.

So, Trying to figure out some things on my '05. What is the typical expected life for the Brake Pads. I replaced the rears 2 years ago and now have put on 14,000 Kms (yup Canadian Eh!) on this set of rear brake pads. They were EDC FB??? for the dealer. Sounding like on the rear, the caliper is not fully releasing in the past few days? Grease to the brake pistons required? No pads on the front since I became the owner of this unit. Getting a squeaking noise from the fronts now, so thinking it's time. Total mileage on the scooter is 50,500 Kms. Any feedback (and I know I will get your thoughts) is appreciated.

Brad, good to hear nothing too major. Bikes can be fixed, people, well that's much tougher. Really glad you and Rhonda are good. See you back home here north of the board soon. Ride SAFE Bro!

Tom I ordered an F4 +2 wide with the vent for my RSV (you have a Wing). ON the first rides with this sheild is fantastic. Clear, vent for air and tall/wide enough for the passenger. Fantastic product. I have 2 ( one @ 17.5" & one @ 14" shorty no vent). HIGHLY, HIGHLY recommond their shields. Don and the crew are awesome to deal with.

I have had the Zumo 665 for a year now. Love it. MP3 player? I find the Satelite XM radio with the 665 even better. As for map loading, I thought the same at first, but found out how wrong I was and do use this as well as trip route recording to record the route for another return ride. If XM is not in your picture, the 660 is the same, without the satelite feature. Worth the spend IMHO.

Okay, the wimpy factory horn has to go. Too many close calls. I know the riders here have changed to after markets. Which one fits the factory mount/location? And has anyone mounted a horn in a front forward location? Thanks in advance for you comment/recommendations.

Don, you are the super detective to find these things! Way to go!

I have the same as rumboogy, the Zumo 665 and it is THE ONLY WAY to travel with Satellite radio. Hooked it up tonight for a ride, and the unit said no antenna. Cleaned the contacts and good as new. Listen to Bruce Springsteen channel 20 concert for the "cruise". Welcome to the world of no commercial radio. A little piece of heaven, at a cost.

Congratulations to Matthew. You and Rhonda and family are "vey proud" of his accomplishment by the pictures. That deserves an "At a Boy!" Well done.

Good Day As many of you know, from my previous posts and question, I am continually looking to go "WIRELESS" on the bike for communications, audio and CB. Seeing information out, the J&M has included Yamaha wiring harness and "stuff" to make their bluetooth helmet systems work with our bike systems (not everything is Harley or Honda Wings) , has there been any comments, experience or feedback (no jokes here) on their Bluetooth wireless comm system. It is a pricey program, but I am very interested in hearing any comments or experience. I really feel going wireless is the way to go, seeing as technology is moving forward. Many thanks for any comments. Thanks Steve

SO Brad, what is on the replacement list?

Bike GPS, would definitely recommend the Zumo 665 with the XM Satelite radio. Since installing this with the Satelite Puck receiver, commercial free radio Classic Vinyl or Classic Rewind tunes has been increadible. FYI The 665 also has a car mount for use in the both vehicle. Issue is that the satelite radio needs the "puck" since ID # for the Sat radio is part of the puck antenna.

Well. Visiting the sunshine state and was looking for the best Yamaha shop in the Orlando FL area. Since the HD guys like to strut their t-shirts from all over the place, even places they have not been, I thought I would hunt down the best big Yamaha shop so I could try to bring back a Yamaha t-shirt from my visit. Too bad, I don't have my RSV with me. Just too big to pack in the suit case and get on the plane. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated and accepted. Just don't want to get the HD shirt. Just not right. Just visiting, Thanks

Well have been running the season now (Canada EH! Short riding season), and can tell you the we really like our EdSets over our J&M Sets. Let me comment. 1) we typically ride with high quality ear cannel bud 2) this blocks out a significant amount of road/wind noise 3) we can run IC at 4 and music/volume no louder than 12 4) only issue is the mic boom seems a little flex/loose as the boom tends to fall away 5) we did put the heat shrink over the mic and secured it and cut out most of the wind noise when we ride without the earbuds and only helmet speakers. 6) love the feature to plug ear buds into the back of the EdSets - G3 unit. Only one I know that does that. 7) Considering changing mic boom next year on both helmets and use the "wire in" feature and secure the boom to inside of helmet to make it more permanent THIS IS ALL related to our HJC-AC3 Carbon helmets. NOT our Shorty helmets. That is work for the upcoming season. Ride Safe!

665 is hard connected via the Aux input. No FM transmitting through the audio system. You will need an 1/8" stereo/ y-connector to keep both your Aux on the tape deck and the audio out of the Zumo to the amp. Here is a tech article to install which I followed. Well written and easy to follow. http://www.venturerider.org/forum/showthread.php?t=3905
