Hello Don, YUP, I'm still alive and breathing air! Just crawling out from under the workload. Discovered the battery is DOA! What dealer name is the place to pick up this battery off Victoria St? Out past the Mercedes dealer? Thanks Steve -

Looks like the battery in my 2005 is also "Pouched!". Where did you p/u your battery in the KW area? I'm in Waterloo and hope to get one this weekend. Thanks, Steve -
Regrettably, have to miss this year's fun and festivities. Complicated summer for time away. I am convinced, that all attending will have an incredible time. Post picture of the weekend when you can. Will miss seeing many of the WNY and ONT folks next weekend. Ride and travel safe! The Count and The Countess Steve and Michele

Ben, good to hear you are home.

To the "Clan" in WNY, thanks for a great weekend and good times catching up with folks we have seen in some time. Pulled into the driveway @ 6:30p and put on 888Km (just of 550 miles) this weekend. BIGTOM and COMPANY, many thanks. Steve and Michele

Thanks Joe Lots of info also across the web, and finding other situations. We are first going to test the new lower headset cord, then proceed to other steps.

BUB re-pack or Harley Ultra Classic pipes-HELP?
thecount replied to thecount's topic in Watering Hole
Ceramic sheet, $20 US Shipping to Canada, $15 Total $35 Did not get any stainless screen, or at least not yet. Which wire cloth/screen did you go with? -
Good Day My brother in law, has a HD Ultra Classic. we are travelling together and trying to get his HD set up in the Intercom/CB. Very intermittent and glitchy. Can also experiencing feed back when the passenger is plugged in. Look for advise, diagnostics, recommendations on what seems to be electronics and connections/switches/PTT buttons. I'm not a fan of the VOX feature on the HarmonKardon and intercom, but that is a feature the bike comes with. Any advise would be a start for us to chase down the issue. Thanks, Steve

BUB re-pack or Harley Ultra Classic pipes-HELP?
thecount replied to thecount's topic in Watering Hole
Thanks for the link. I ordered one sheet of this ceramic packing which based on other inputs, should be sufficient. Will see when it arrives to Canada, then time to undertake the work on the BUB's and modify the sound. While the tips are being cleaned up and painted or polished, will put the HD pipes on for a while to see how they sound. Thanks for the link. Ride Safe! -
Don and Nancy, Thanks for the invite and generosity of opening your home for the reception. Great weather, great friends, food was fantastic, and have to say the "apple pie" was nice way to finish off the day. Many happy and wonderful years are ahead for you together.

Bob, Sounds like your preparing for a major road trip, with all this work? But I guess I understand, not getting around to the bike work thing. Any of the parts I had shipped to you, find their way onto to "Sexi" Tricked Out Amazing Star Trike c/w Bling ( "Sexi" TOAST with Bling, for short). Have fun!

Thanks for the Ceramic advice and Ebay link. I am only guessing that you needed one sheet of the ceramic baffle batting for 2 pipes? Steve -
BUB re-pack or Harley Ultra Classic pipes-HELP?
thecount replied to thecount's topic in Watering Hole
Ceramic packing, where did you order or the product type? Have only found fiberglass packing. Polished tips look great. Steve -
Hello fellow Venture riders. Need some input to my thinking. The BUB slip-ons tips have been flaking and chrome peeling. I will be pulling the pipes off, to have the tips either re-chromed or flat black. I also have a set up new Harley Ultra Classic pipes that I can install for the time the other are off. SO, will the BUB's likely have never been re-packed. Time to do so, yes? Will the be quieter? Your comment please. And if re-packed what will the sound be like compared to the Harley pipes? Looking for a low rumble tone, and not excessively loud. Don't need to make the other riding behind deaf. Any input would be great. Thanks in advance,

Need some electrical assistance from someone in the K-W area
thecount replied to ReinyRooster's topic in Watering Hole
So did this get installed or not? Cause Bike Night tonight sounds like too many Ride Captains and not enough follower so make this happen today. Reiny, What unit did you get? I have the Scorpion on my '05 scooter and was fairly simple to install, providing you purchase the Yamaha wire harness connection. If I can help or use my bike to check on set up, let me know. -
It started as a web site for Ventures, quickly became more than that. People come and people go. Guys change their bikes, look for advise and even, support for each other. Don, I can see the site carrying on regardless of what Yamaha does for a large touring bike. We all seem to be here for our own reasons and mine is cause there is great people, friends and stories found here.

So, looking for the accessory passenger backrest. And looking for feedback on same, as interested to know if it puts the passenger to sit more upright. Thanks for any comments and/or leads for a passengers backrest.

Working and weekend complications. We are still yet to confirm going to visit. If we do go, our best scenario is Friday night arrival or Saturday:confused24:. Travel safe and we hope to make it.
