  6. for me its I have been extremely busy working 50 plus hours a week and then 4 hours or so a day helping mom. Add that it is hunting season and still trying to fit in time with the 2 ladies of my life ( #1 Laura my wife and #2 Brandy my 91 vr). I dont have a lot of time for the site wright now David
  7. just my opinion . But I dont think both will fit on that. MEasure up your 1st gen alone. Mine will not fit on my 4x8 ft trailer without quite a bit hanging off the back. As I remember the venture is a little over 8 feet from front on front tire to back of trunk. its also as I remember a little over 3 and a half feet wide............take that along iwth the valousa and I just dont think they will both fit .........at least not at the same time. But I have been wrong before David
  8. knee mail sent.............
  9. best I can do for my kids is send a few prayers up to them and hope they listen. David
  10. mine did that but it was more of a need for a fluid flush........mechanic told me it was old and had condesatedd water in the line and that heated and caused the week clutch lever pull. After the old girl cooled of it would work wright till it got hot again and bam no clutch pull.........fluhed lines and all was well for a year till it did it again.................good luck
  11. I put camp dry on ours just recently. In fact its still out there in the sun drying. also we use a 12ft by 12ft easy up over top of it. Takes only a few seconds to set up and no rain gets on it. David
  12. now I was told trailer weight should be half the weight of the bike plus anything on it..........with the bike being 750 or so olus me at 250 or so...then thats close to 1000....half that is 500............Ive pulled my 85 bunkhouse up and down Black Mountain in the rain and every where else we have camped with it with no problems on a 91 vr with the trunk , saddle bags and back seat loaded too... just be carefull David
  13. consider it done.....hope and pray she gets better David
  14. sorry all I can think of is chitty chitty bang bang........well actually something else but since this is a og site you know the drill
  15. Lucky for me I gues but a buddy of mine owns a local gun store......he knnows my weapons and the wifes( he sold most of them to us) and just calls when what we use comes in and we tell him how much we want put back. We ahve to stay within his box limit. The only benefit of being his friend is we get called to see if we want it or not. And CCI mini mags are all that will shoot and cycle my wife Walther p22.......anything else gives her a ftf or fte. Most of the time the lower velocity ammo will fire and partially load and you have to do the slide tap trick to get it to follow through to reset. DAvid
  16. mine came in today..beautiful Thanks again David
  17. still waiting on mine.......but from the post I should be very happy David
  18. gooing from a friend of mine who did a lot of research, he said the bmw's have a high frequensy of the rear end going out at like 25'000 miles.......but thats from a memory of a long ago conversation
  19. just an idea.......on my 91 if I run the class up to igh on the side stand or with me on it I will get the clunk your talking about, but if I put it on the center stand and then adjust the class it doesnt do it. I have had readings of 14 psi on side stand then put it on center stand and recheck it and its only got 6 or so psi's.............just an idea David And an easy way to get it on center stand is a pipe slid over the foot peg part of the center stand and then just step up on it. Mines about 2-3 ft long and I just step up on it after I rock the bike onto bvoth feet of the center stand. Cant remember who taught me that trick but it works for me
  20. sounds great to me......the bike is up and running again so there cant be a better reason. Gunboat I never met you but will do my part to ride in your honor David
  21. thanks......it was the other fuse holder.........fuse had actually fell out and another was on its way........again many thanks as that fuse holder wasnt even in my knowledge...I had no idea it was even there. David
  22. ok on my 91 vr I cant get power to the radio or cb. T least thats what I assume as I have no idea or tools to find out. So the back story is I had battery problems and the need of a new front tire. Those issues have been fixed. When the battery was installed I noticed that the radio would work but would not hold it memory more than a few minutes after I turn the bike off. Also everytime I cranked it no matter if the the radio held memory or not the speaker setup was switched to headset only. Now a few weeks later and all the starting issues are fixed the radioi and cb with not power up. I checked the fuses and all seem working . Everything else on the bike powers up and works as its supposed to. Im at the end of my knowledge so any help will be apreciated. Thanks in advance David
  23. I actually have the misse set on mine and stand it up straight and then I check it. David
