  1. That is a good question! I dont think so. On my other bike I didnt have a canceller so I always turn it off manually. I dot think it does work but I prefer not to hack my wiring so I will stick with this. Also I think Custom Dyanmic has something for that too.
  2. Ok so let me get this straight!!! Everyone agrees that if you have the links stick with the stock size front as the narrower one will make it too responsive and maybe in some cased a little squirley. You guys are confusing me. But definitly the Avon!!
  3. Make your life much easier. Order 2 new flasher relays from Custom Dynamics. one for the flasher relay and one for the Hazard Relay. On the Flasher relay which is under the Right side battery cover all you have to do is follow the instructions on the web site. For the Hazard relay just plug it right in. It is inside the front fairing on the right side of the radio. These flasher relays act as the equalizer as well as the relay and eliminates the need to hack your harness. They just plug in. I have this done on my bike and they work great. http://www.customdynamics.com/trick_flasher.htm#Standard_DOT_Flasher
  4. Not to worry. No offense ever taken!! WE COOL!!! LOL
  5. This is what you need. Also you need to change the lenses to red in the real for TS. Leds are great if you want to do that too. Use clear lenses and the appropriate colored LEDs also. If you will do this you will also need the flasher relays that Custom Dynamics sells too in the TS flasher and Hazard Flasher. You will need too of the same and wire it by instructions. By using this you will not have to butcher any wires in you bike. All just plug and play! http://www.customdynamics.com/tailconversion_kit.htm
  6. Check out this thread. Pegscraper and Wpredock are the ones to pay attentions to in here on this thread. http://www.venturerider.org/forum/showthread.php?t=2803&highlight=vmax+cams
  7. Ricks the Guy to deal with. Did great by me on my Harley license plate light kit.
  8. If you use a vacuum bleeder it isnt so bad. Front is much harder than the rear but not bad. Use the bleeder and also use the check bleeders that Russell sells.
  9. Eddy, Just a shot in the dark but look and see if the caliper bolts are in there and tight in the rear. Look underneath. Id never admit it but I forgot to tighten the bolt properly when I fliped over the rear pads once and one worked its way out. The caliper would shift around and clunk when rolling front and rear.
  10. Sorry if I came on strong. owning a tire shop Im in the middle of all this stuff all day but we all have our areas where we are real strong. Im the passenger world I see so may cases of misapplication and nor following load ranges and to tell you the truth most failures come from this whether the car is new or someone just wants to put on something cool. Jack it not a about dumb or smart its about learning and now you all know what I have learned. Dont call me manic Jr! LOL Just glad I could help and contribute. I feed off all the great knowledge of those here in the areas Im "Dumb" in. Thanks Guys
  11. Hey jack, I did a little research and you are ok. You tire is not a radial. Your size is not avail in a radial and if it was it would be a Venom-R and not just a Venom. R would appear in the size just before the rim size Ex: 120/90R-18 would be radial and 120/90-18 would be Bias. Im still trying to figure where you got the T9R but the 71 is the load rating and the H is the speed rating which means its tested for a sustained period at 139 MPH.
  12. Guys read this very carefully. I own a tire business and I know radials and bias on a bike are dangerous but here it is in writing right from avon!! http://www.bikernet.com/avon/PageViewer.asp?PageID=986
  13. What Venom is it? Im not sure you are right about it being Radial and If you are I would do some heavy research and I would get it off. You will never find any tire professional to tell you that is correct to do.
  14. You could use radials on anything as long as they are both radials, Monsta. They do not make the Elite 3 in the sizes you need in radials. Ive been researching myself on that one. no company makes Radials in the size the RSV needs. The Elite 3 is offered in both Radial and Bias and what type it is is depending on size. They offer it in sizes to fit VTX 1800 and Wings but not the RSV. I am interested though. I want to try try Elite 3s myself.
  15. Thanks Randy. That is exactly what I wanted. Funny I have that same concho on my flap now so I just have top cut the hole and place the concho on the plug. Very nice work there. Cool!
  16. Did you use it with a mudflap and do you have a pic. Im really interested In knowing how far the receiver hangs below the chrome trim on the fender so I know about where the hole I would have to cut in the flap would be. I want to get an Idea of how it will look. Also I think it was either Bigshell or Eck that made a Dual flag holder that slides in to his hitch.
  17. I like the Diamond R trailer hitch but I have a mudflap on the rea of my RSV. Has anyone installed it and how did you cut the Mudflap? Pix please. If not will the venture dad one work. Please advise! I want to make a flag holder for the PGR but need a hitch first.
  18. I have Stainless front and rear and love it. The feel is much more firm. When you have the rubber they expand a slight amount when you press the lever and peddle. With the stainless you get no expansion and the firm feel is much more positive. Go for it you wont be sorry. You can get them from JP cycles. Russell makes them.
  19. I think its just preference. He wants his bike to look different. Nothing wrong with that.
  20. A lighter and faster Venture. I get chills!! Hopefully with the same comfort. Making me dream!!!
  21. I have the J&M headset that I bought from wingstuff. I love mine but went to order another one last week for My fiances helmet and found it was on back order. Should be available the end of November.
  22. Here is one that is Plug and Play from Hellraiser customs. http://www.hellrisercustoms.com/selector.php?group=7&category=Lights&subcat=Turn+signals&title=Lighting%20products%20for%20Royal%20Star
  23. Cruiserfan, what was the Kuryakyn number for the run, stop, brake module. The dont have the Venture listed and I send them an email but they never got back to me and I want one. I think custom Dynamics makes one too. Scotty
  24. What he Said!!!! Thats Right!!! LOL
  25. Hey Carl I was wondering that myself. I bought duotherms tonight as the Under Armour was pretty pricey. I think If im gonna spend 100 on tops and bottoms I would use the money toward a heated liner. The wicking effect is interesting though
