I dont think that is the case. If you rode at least 230 mi between the two days then you have ride charge time. I would look for the small stuff. Were any accessories left on or the ignition switch? Were any accessories added that may have been wired wrong? Sorry to ask stupid questions but who knows. Other than that it may be something with the ignition switch. Earlier models did have some trouble with them but the later ones were fine. Maybe that you got the switch made at Friday 4:30

Hey Drebbin. You are forgeting another good one in ther too. Warm and safe. I bought the Gerbing and am happy with them but after I did I had a few buddies who are MSF instructors tell me about this company. This guy is the original designer of the Gerbing style and Gerbing copied his ideas. After he left the conpany he improved on his own design and came up with his line. I saw this stuff as a Buddy of mine is dealer and I was inpressed with the more efficent designs and comfort features. Check it out. If I had to do it again I would buy this stuff and it also is 100 per compatable with Gerbing items. http://warmnsafe.com/

important question

I Like the Avons too but to answer your question you tires are safe if you are just judging the production date. IF they were about 5 years old and sitting outside then maybe I would be concerned. Look at the general condition of the tire an that will tell it all. Look for weather dry rot or small cracking in line with the bead. I own a tire business and get these questions all the time. If your bike is stored inside and at resonable temps you are will within any safe zone. Heck most passenger and bike tires are in a warehouse that is climate controlled that amount of time before they make it too you. If they look clean and there are no other issues like prior repairs, cuts or poor handleing issues use them then put on the Avons later.- 9 replies

My thoughts go out to the Families of out Heros who have paid the ultimate price. It is time for us to end Bush's War. There was a time when I supported him but now I think it is Ego thing for him. Where will it end. These people been killing each other since long before we ever thought of being a country. What makes him think he can stop that.

I dont think I would go that far. None of the Major tire manufacturers endorse plugging as proper repair. Patching is recomended. I would only use a plug as an emergency and then remove the Tire ASAP

that is interesting. Im suprised that they dont use cold vulcanizing fluid on the plug to keep it bolded to the inside rubber. Do they require you to use a drill and if so how do you do that on the road. I think the reamer would work but that would take a little work to get the hole big enough to get the plug in.

I have the Back off module. I like it. It flashes the tail light in a rotating pattern when you are on the brakes. They do notice. I had one dude pull up next to me at a light and tell me he thought I had a short. I just ordered the Kisin HL modulator too.

06 Tour Deluxe Vibratons

[quote=bobo;50822it could I suppose be due to a poorly balanced wheel but you'd most likely notice that more often than just from 62-68. . I was gonna sugest that one too. Sound like the range for an out of balance condition to affect you. My experience in the tire business is most tire balance issues happen between 55 and 70. That is the harmonic point of the tire. Check the Sync on the carbs first as that is easier and then have the tire balance checked as that is much more work to remove and balance. -
I like the way that is set up but I think that would have a problem under the tank. If a way was devised to make it attach to the stock air system then I think it would work well. I also think it would give the beast a little kick in the rear for more power. Have you contacted them regarding the RSV? Price is a little steep too!
-
You actually could do that too. You will have to hund for the piece after and place it back into the rivet. I just pryed up the rivet and worked it out slowly.
-
those are easy to get out. All they are is plastic rivets. Just get a small flat screwdriver and push it in behind it. Work is slowly out. The war the Rivet works is there is a small pin that pushes into the center that spreads out the fingers that holds it in. When you have it out just push the pin out. When you reinstall it just push the fingers in and then push the center pin in to spread the fingers and there you go. If you arent planing to do this anyway spray some lithium grease into the mechanism and it will really help to stop the sticking you get as Yamaha is very light in the lube Dept.

Hey If you think the tank chap is nice on Beer30s (Gene) you should see the Helmet, Windshield bags and trunk bib look. They all match and quite snazzy!!! I bought mine from Yamaha Accessories. They offer a few but I got the studded one with the pouch.

Cant be much. The volume of the air in the tires is much more than the in the shocks. The more air- the more effect! I would imagine very little
