Sorry, My goof. I meant 70,000 Candle or 100,000 Candle. Not Watt.

Hey Drebbin, If they are the sealed beam you can get 70w and 100w from JP Cycles. I just changed over to the adjure tribar lights and took a good set of 70w sealeds out. If you want them PM me an address. Just pay shipping. If they are the H3 type you can get them anywhere.

There are only two types, the Sealed beam and the other is a H3.

I figured you would like them. Ive had mine on for about 2 seasons and when I made the change I couldnt believe the difference. Much easier on the shoulders too!!

2nd Gen Hitch question
Tartan Terror replied to garyjzr's topic in Royal Star Venture Tech Talk ('99 - '13)
I have the Venturedad hitch. Keep in mind that if you want to put a cooler rack on the back it will make a cleaner closer install. Ask Double D on that one. -
This Study is long over due. Hopefully they will examine age groups and types of motorcycles. I for one think unexperienced riders on overpowered motorcycles make up a large portion of the reason for so many deaths. We need to know this as motorcycles are just lumped together right now.

Tartan Terror replied to Cerviperus's topic in Bike Accessories

rear shock on rsv
Tartan Terror replied to a topic in Royal Star and Royal Star Tour Deluxe Tech Talk
If they dont cover it take a look at the Works shock. I just had mine replaced under warrenty over the summer but if you do have to pay for it get the Works shock. Fully rebuildable at a fraction of the cost. Check out the tech library. Lots in there including a disection of the shock so you can see whats inside -
What Squid said!!!! Best brains and bellys working on it!!!

Send your address and I will get it out to you.

shouldn't be a problem. Did you get all the supports with it. Bikes are the same and if you got everything it should just bolt on. maybe a few others will chime it but I know at least a few that have dont that already.

hey if any of you want the fiberglass to repack them let me know. I bought some when I had my Khromewerks but I never used any and want to just give a new pack away. Just pay the shipping. PM me.

Competition is good. I want one of whatever they come up with. -
tach for 06 RSV
Tartan Terror replied to mrb's topic in Royal Star and Royal Star Tour Deluxe Tech Talk
I really like that one, which one is it and does it come with the mount? -
sound normal to me. Mine does the same. One thing we have noticed here is there are inconsistancies in the owners and tech manual. Bike is right and paper is wrong. PS when you do the carb sync in the future do not use the shop manual. Look in the tech section here.

If you bought the battery tender leave it on all the time. I have Batter Tenders on both of my bikes and when they go in the garage I plug it it. It is a battery maintainance system that trickle charges the battery to keep it set up. Cold will run a bettery down a little. The tender will not allow it to over charge. Scotty

Krome Werks Mufflers
Tartan Terror replied to Buzzard1's topic in Royal Star and Royal Star Tour Deluxe Tech Talk
I agree with Freebird. They sound great if you like loud but they were too loud for me and I sold them. I put on the Road Kings and they were just right. -
Its great to hear that you had a very good experience and the dealer treated you well. It usually is the simple thing but you never know. Let us know how you make out. All else seems good! Scotty

Just as long as they know if you build we will come. I think about half of us would order it on the first day. It cant be that tough as they already make stators for Vstars that put out about 35% more power. All we need is just a little more would be nice!!!
-
honestly Buddy may be on the right track. If you look at the threads you will see a few mentions of Volt meters as nessessary and charging capacity leaves a little bit to be desired but the big brains are on it. We actually have a few guys working with companies to make a bigger stator to boost it up. Takes pretty extreme situations to run it down like that. I do recommend a volt meter though. BTW- Freebird have you heard anything more about the upgrade stator?
