  1. You got that right Brother!!!!
  2. If Chaos cant get there I will be waiting for the call but its so easy even a Caveman can do it!!! LOL Hell I might ride out for a steak that big!!!
  3. From the photo I would say it is fine. When they build a white letter tire the entire sidewall under the black is made of white rubber. The black is only a final coating. It looks very shallow and if it want a white letter you would probably never have looked twice. No cords are visible or cut so I say it is fine to ride on.
  4. Actually they are not. There are two different Valve hole sizes. 5/8 and 3/16. Our bikes use 3/16 as do most bikes and cars. Lots of truck valves are 5/8 hole.
  5. Their testing a motorcycle that old? The bikes back then were never tested, I would think it should only need to meet a safety inspection.
  6. Dray, Im using MSN as my browser. Do you know if this will work for this? (Im guessing yes as MSN is Microsoft but not sure.)
  7. Greg this is what I use. Ive done three this week already on two different bikes. Real easy to use and acurate
  8. Let me rephrase. I have yet to see a pepcock that dont have a screen covering it. Just to keep crap in the gas getting to the filter and pump. I havent removed the one on this bike yet.
  9. I think it will disolve but also keep in mind that It wont get to the carbs. There should be a screen inside the tank that will keep it from pluging the flow and also getting to the carbs. Just run the tank enpty close to home and then pull the pepcock. should be right there. if it isnt then its gone. Either way nothing really to worry about.
  10. Dusty you will like it. I used to only wear half helmets and just started wearing the 3/4 AC3. Its light and much cooler that you would think. I never wear my 1/2 anymore. Very comfortable after you break it in.
  11. I have the HJC AC3 helmet and the J&M headset in it. Best combo I have ever had.
  12. One thing to keep in mind is that if you use anything other than the Star mounting bar you will not be able to mount the air defectors.
  13. Im sure he meant an 83.
  14. You can use it but you will need to use a spacer of some sort. Or--- (Larry here is your commercial)-- you can get one of Carbon One's excellent lift adapters. Im sure he will chime in here but he makes a frame that attaches to the bottom of the bike and is held in place by a rod that slides in. Makes the lifting surface level and you cna even get models that have legs that slide in and the bike stands on its own. Very worth it. Check the classified section on the site. Better yet here is the link. http://www.venturerider.org/classifieds/showproduct.php/product/69/cat/7
  15. In a slow roll yes. Been there, Done that, Bought the shirt! LOL
  16. Howie. For a battery I strongly suggest the Odysessy PC545. It is a Drycell and is tough. Go to www.Batteryweb.com . They have some great prices and nice to deal with. As for Brake pads I think EBC is the best. Got a few miles on mine and very happy. Use the EE compound.
  17. Cant ever remember turning mine off unless Im storing the bike. Never do that, I just ride it.
  18. Actually it will. the rubber is an insert that goes inside the chrome part. if they seperate you can put the rubber back in after you get it off. I usually slide a long thin flatblade under the grip to seperate it. You may need to remove the switch housing and master from bar to get the right angle. Scotty
  19. Ladyrider my Prayers go out for you and the family. I have know idea want to say but Lord take them in you arms.
  20. Mines a 2nd gen but I too use the HL modulator from Kisan. Works great and very visible.
  21. I agree with using the Odyessy battery. I researched and bought one myself. It is a deep cycle battery also so if it runs down it is much better set up to recover with a charge. A few here use them and I do think Don has about 4 years on his so far. Unless its under warranty and you will get a free one.
  22. Been doing it for MUCH longer than that!
  23. There is a serial number on the tire. Look at the last 4 digits. say its 5105. That would mean it was built in the 51st week of 2005.
  24. How many do you want?
