Two things to ponder. The air you breath is 78 percent nitrogen. In order to get as close to 100 percent nitrogen in the tire you first need to get all the regular air out which will require a vaccum before inflating. Its not as simple as just putting the nitogen hose on and filling away. You will get a higher percentage of nitrogen but still no where near 100 per. Also you can have moisture in nitogen too just as easy as you can have very little moisture in air filled tire that has been inflated with a proper air line dryer. Kind of like the type you have in a body shop.

Cool!!! Actually I been thinking its time to loose weight. I could easily use to lose about 40 as a moderate number. How do you want to do this? Is it members of VR that pledge or everyone. Im sure we will all need a witness also. Set up the rules and I really think that this is something I want to do.

They use nitogen in the tires as it is an inert gas and less prone to expansion an contraction. One other thing is that the Nitrogen is filtered and dried when it is conpressed into the bottles as well. The moisture is really the factor in the equation that makes the real difference in the expansion and also the big factor that will affect the airguns as well. These guys are like cowboys from the wild west and come with their own guns. Regular compressed air would be fine but why if its better for the guns.

Also on Nitogen.

Happy New Years and Happy Anniversary!!!

What is in your tires makes no difference in Wear. The fact that there is the right amount of whatever you use in your tires is the deciding factor.

Is the passing light/lightbar kit the same for RSTD as Venture?
Tartan Terror replied to a topic in General Tech Talk
They are not the same. You can put a light bar from a RSTD on a Venture but you will not be able to mount the lower wind deflectors.- 4 replies

Just looking at the pictures and not reading the account what I suspect is a leak in the tire. As the tire builds heat it weakens the side wall and expands the air remaining to almost reinflate the tire. Side wall fails and there you go. Did you see any small cuts or punctures other than those on the side wall? With the side car it would be tougher to feel a low tire as you are supported by three and dont lean. Generally if a tire is a blowout and was defective it would blow in one space not all the way around. That suggests the leak weakened it.

And you know when they closed the store because of the death people were heard saying that they had waited for hours and now had to leave!!! Get real people, you created the crime scene!!! Just sad and disgusting.

It amazes me that some people get so insane about standing a the door of the store in the wee hours to get in. Today in Valley Stream we had a Walmart employee get trampled to death by shoppers trying to get in!! You may say that that is the start to a good joke but Im dead serious!!! What is wrong with those freaks!!!

I have a Freebird stand and its great. I even had mine powdercoated black so its pretty too. Problem is I have used it maybe 3 times since I have had it and need to take it off everytime I put the bike on the lift which I use much more.I have never been a center stand using kind of guy but I guess if you are you use it more. I would be willing to sell it as Im taking it off this week and probably wont put it back on. Let me know if you are interested or if anyone is interested PM me.

I understand you on this. A few months I was all hot to get the 09 Ultra Firefighter edition. I finally got the chance to ride an Ultra and even though it was an Awsome bike I just didnt feel like I fit on it. Granted I have changed all kinds of stuff on my Venture to make it fit me but I want prepared to dump another 4 grand into an already expensive bike again. I sold my Flag bike and was gonna sell the Venture and even if I got the price for it I wanted I still would have had to add 10 grand on top of it to make a lateral move in all Just for a Name. I decided to paint my Venture as My own Firefigter edition as I am now Vice President of my Red Knights chapter and with the friends I have it will only cost materials. As for the decals and goldleaf the same guys son does vinyl lettering and graphics.
