  1. My Dunlop E-3 are spending the Winter ( ALL 7 $@#%^&* Months of Winter) and 50% of the Avon.pdf is in my Garage!!!....... No sidewall cracking here. Maybe Avon Rep needs this URL to see what 9,000 consumers are reading and saying. 2 cents
  2. Freeze Plug in LA>>>> Hmmmm you would think that most of us living above the 44th Parallel would have seen this more often than not but we have not. Hope someone can clarify this or have better terminology than "Freeze Plug". I will be watching this (very curious)
  3. Welcome Home Mike I left the Sandbox / Rockbox (Other Vacation Spot) in 2003 - 2004. Get home and "decompress". Don't do too much partying too soon Brother. Hope you can make it to MD-2010, If so look me up. Looks like you know ECK and meet him last year at MD-2009 and he is a ok guy (Wink wink). US Army since 1982....

I think this will be what I want... http://www.jcwhitney.com/chrome-plated-heavy-duty-3-piece-bolt-together-clamp/p2006236.jcwx But It says three piece but only shows 2 pieces!!! What am I missing about these 1" CLAMPS??? TY

  13. Folks, I will be needing 1" Chrome Clamps to install Larry (Carbon-One) braces for Crash Bars stiffening. Then with the Crash Bars now stiff I would like to add Foot Pegs. The 1" Clamps are pretty standard equipment... Can anyone recommend Good Foot Pegs at JC Whitney? The reason for JC Whitney is Free Shipping over $75.00. Maybe all JC Whitney Foot Pegs are Crap??? Thanks for your trusted advice as always here at VR.Org.
  14. In PA... Look up user name Skydoc17 send him a PM or Email see what he can do 4 U. Good Luck
  15. Most of us WISH we could have lived the life he did and be 91 taken too early doing what he loved (Reminder of Dale Earnhardt... Passing away under a rollover tractor (tragic) -vs- doing what he loved.... Racing...). Yes there is a Crime here (Hit & Run) but do not let that diminish the celebration of his life. WW-II Navy Vet...Man O Man this guy LIVED more than most of us will ever experience. SALUTE Godspeed
  16. Friends Don't let friends waste $$$ on K&N. More Air In = More Dirt In. I would put my hard earned $$$ on Uncle Yammie Engineers that specifically designed for this engine. 2 cents.
  17. This is what I was thinking this too... my 3 cents are bet here.......keep us posted
  18. I had a HD guy ask me if I was ready to upgrade? My reply was very straight faced...I'm not ready for a Honda Gold Wing yet! The look on his face was PRICELESS.... then I broke out of my straight face now laughing... I get about a 50/50 return laugh and handshake... the rest walk away. Life is too short to spend with 50% of them. The truth is I too think the GW is Equal too the RSV but it WORKS SO WELL with that question... LOL
  19. You can get poor quality in both leather and textile that will allow you to walk or stretcher away without road rash and both will need replacing.... but it did it's job. The quality of Leather or Textile and the severity of the slide are directly proportional to the protective value and follow on leather refinishing or textile replacement costs. In most cases good quality leather can survive several skids and be buffed out and re-died and look almost new again. With Textile it is never going to look new and will need replacement. 6 of 1 or half a dozen of the other. 3 cents
  20. I have had a single "intermittent" Spark Plug.... swap with another spark plug from other working cylinder to see if problem moves??? If problem moves... replace spark plug.
  21. Owen, How many miles on your 08? Do tell the clutch story for us... Skydoc (Earl) has some Clutch Kit posted in here somewhere. Glad to hear you got your 2nd Up gal back... CONGRATS to Her
  22. Tourmaster can be purchased at many sites and they make AWSOME stuff. Last summer riding with my old HD friends and every time it rained or stopped raining it was like the Barbie Wardrobe & Fashion Change Show,,, while I sat there with a BIG SMILE (Cool, Warm, Dry, Whatever in my Tourmaster Jacket and Pants) not to mention less weight than leather
  23. Look here too. http://www.bigcrank.com
