Bob, Mimi and I would love an excuse to drive thru the UP to get there. Unfortunately Uncle Sam (US Army) has me that exact weekend. Yep I know the sooner you set a date the better and will not fit everybody's schedule. We will keep an eye on this WI-MD and adjust if the date changes for many other reasons yet unknown.

I always like BMW Bikes until I looked down and seen "Pegs", I hope they start putting floorboards on Touring Bikes someday (Have not seen Picture yet). Also stated above maybe you can compare rider space to a 1st Gen but then 2nd Gen has more room then 1st gen for Passengers. Hmmmm. Foot pegs or Cassette Deck? LOL

Deleted... Oops did not see above... You let this one go. Brian has made a wise decision.

Above says Community in there is a Member List, you can Scan for IL and if I'm not mistaken you can "sort" by state too. Good Luck

SMsgt, US Army Major here... Rick Butler seat Mod was my first Mod and Myself and Co-Passenager can easily ride 5 consecutive, 12 hour days with no Buttock Issues. Now that the SNOW is flying best get both seats to Rick Butler. Also I rank this my #1 MOD of all the Mods I Have done. #2 would be my Wind Jammers, #3 would be my XXL Clearview Windshield. PS: All my Yammie Toys (Boat Motor 2 each, Rhino-660 Side by Side) LOVE the NGK-Iridium Spark Plugs too, everything starts easier and needs less choke time IMHO. TY for your Service. It was nice to know I had AIR POWER in less than 20 minutes in Afghanistan in 2003 (Second wave in). When I did call for AIR POWER the outcome was unfair for them .

Chris, Today is Friday!!! What is the status? Did you call V7Goose (very kind offer)? Let us know what going down???

Chris, Use the FORCE Chris..... Feel the Ying & Yang...... Don't over think it or Physch yourself out.... The Whine I like to call my George Jetson Spacecraft Sound (Best of all it does not sound like POTATO - POTATO - POTATO) Lol These Engines are bullet proof and the cool cylinder might need some minor attention and that is EXACTLY where that 5 Year Warranty comes in. Don't let anyone tell you it is only for the Original 000000 miles purchaser (search forum). I can tell you MAMA is going to Love this throne for Her inner Princess... There are some 2nd Gen RSV in the Classified Section too (you can trust these guys and search all their posts to get a Bike History). Lastly make sure to get to any VenturRider.org "Maintenance Day" Events Large or Small. Goodluck Chris

I can say before my seats were redone by (Rick Butler) the passenger had to stop every Tankful for 30 minutes and then was sore rest of weekend. Driver was good for 6 to 8 hours then sore rest of weekend....NOW Both can ride 12 to 14 hours for days on end and nothing sore

If you talk to any HD Owner they all are "Special". We call it the HD Mystique also known a Marketing Magic or the "HD BUG" as they say in the Asia... LOL. I agree this is a 23 year old HD and this guy still believes in the Resale Factor yet another myth all of which has now been solidified in the recent Economy called Back to Basics folks. Unless you are an expert in this field I would stay away and get a good nights sleep.

Bear, Sorry to see yet another $K&N$ victim:headache:. Don't wait a few weeks and change "Air Filters" now. Earlier you said "Fuel" Filter... not sure if that was a typo. Also the NGK Iridiums "equivalents" should not be the problem. Keep us posted and Goodluck.
-
Bear, Looks like the only thing left is go back to stock air filters and see if that helps? 2 remaining possibilities are change in your riding style? Or a change in Fuel additives that Big Brother does for us folks who live in 4 Seasons Regions (like now 15% ethanol)? Did you SYNCH after swapping spark plugs??? Let me know... I too have RSV-2008.
-
Like Owen says... Same for me and "Waterproof" is critical. Not to mention quality hardware and wiring too is TOP NOTCH.
-
NO THANK YOU I LIKE COMFY RSV
