Interesting numbers... N.W. Michigan just got above ZERO F today... Anyways 5 Year Avg for my 3,200 SqFt Equals = AVG $100.00 for Lp and AVG $65.00 Electric, Per Month = $1,980.00 Annually. FYI

AGREE 100% with John... and seen these manufacturer names at Consumer Reports too and Best Value was 90 to 92%. LP Liquid Propane company's usually will have a New Customer SETUP SPECIAL like Free 500 Gallon Tank delivery and set and you pay per foot of copper tubing buried between Tank and Home and then Black Pipe from outer wall to furnace. Do not look for Lp running down the street if you are "rural", like Natural Gas might be in some suburbs.

Lp = Liquid Propane and Forced Air 90% efficiency. Pas Heat Pump studies says to far North or South then not efficient and the best zone for Heat Pump was TN & KY Latitude-ish.

Is a 35+ year Mechanic. When he told me my Venture was a HEMI and a Softail and would stomp any HD hands down (given equal driver skills) and is nearly bullet proof I almost passed out. My head swelled so big I bet my FF-Helmet would not of fit at that moment. I clearly asked him why he did not have one??? He replied his 92 GW came from a Uncle who passed on and paid far below market costs for it and it was paid for. Otherwise the Venture would be his next Bike. True Story.

Earl is SPOT ON! I would expect the Valve Stem NOT to dry rot prior to tire needing replacement due to tread-wear. Next question is how good your dealer is? Let us know?? -
In 2008 I picked up a 2004 Subie Forester 3 year FLEASE turned in w/ 21,000 miles. Saved 35% I have owned a S-10 Pickup 4WD and S10-Blazer 4WD and NW Michigan SNOW up to buttocks 5 months a year. I can say this SUBIE can handle snow as good as ANY American 4WD. The newer Subie Forester 2009 and later is Larger than the earlier Subies. Also look into the Subie Tribeca. My Uncle had 2 Subies over 25 years and 280k and 320k with no major repairs Good Luck

If Uncle Sam (US Army) ever decides if I'm going to Afghanistan or Hati soon, I will look him up in Afghanistan. This would be a return to that place since 2003 nearly 7 years ago...GHEEEEZ It is 95% better now than in 2003. As a Commo CPT I connected USAF with Amry Troops on the ground who needed Air Support (LUV THOSE GUYS) US Army Major Signal Corps Afghan Combat Vet 2003 RSV-2008 Black Cherry

Engine guard flex fix
frogmaster replied to Chiro's topic in Royal Star Venture Tech Talk ('99 - '13)
FYI: Last Fall I laid my RSV-08 on its left side (low speed maybe 10 mph) at 6:45pm, called Progressive at 8:45pm Friday Eve and Saturday at 8am Adjuster called me says he will be at my house in 1 Hr ((Can not complain about service at this point)). First thing he says is 80% of all his Bikes are TOTALED. Reason if there is ANY FRAME Bending or Cracking it is PARTY OVER = TOTALED. When he looked at my bike says all the components had bent and saved the FRAME. Not saying good or bad just sharing information of real life situation about similar discussion or Strengthening and Reinforcing. -
Tom & Tater, I have lost some and have 3 more dogs now. Take Solice and Comfort in knowing you gave Casey 13 of the best years any dog could of had.

I think this was reported before and in that case that was the symptom similar as the phillips screw was coming loose on the bottom of the Gas Cap. In one or 2 cases the screw fell into the Tank. I hope that is not your issue but only takes a few minutes te check that screw. good luck

frogmaster replied to bikerjohn's topic in Royal Star Venture Tech Talk ('99 - '13)

Brad might have hit on something (Oil Viscosity)? For what it is worth my 2008 RSV with 10,500 miles and has Original OEM Battery and I have NEVER had it on my battery charger (never ever)... On top of that last Winter I started my Bike every Week or Two and where I live Winter is 5 to 6 months (so 22 to 26 weeks) all winter long again no Battery charger. The OIL is Shell Rotella-T SYN 5w-40.

Hi Ron, I keep fuel open with STA-BIL and Premium gas on last fill up. Then I start the bike every weekend all winter that is where the Rotell-A SYN 5-40 really pays off in Northern Michigan

frogmaster replied to stevel's topic in Royal Star and Royal Star Tour Deluxe Tech Talk
His profile says 97 RSTD... He posted in RS and RSTD Tech Talk... Steve will have to confirm what Bike he is talking about here? -
GOOD ONE .... Have to have a bit of humor to off set the concerns to have a balanced life and then the bike will run straight too LOL

If looking at the bike on the lower left fork there is a sunken balled Allen Bolt that holds the front Axle. Stick your pinky finger in there and see if it moves???
