That one works great especially with the carbon one adapter. I have this one and with the adapter I am not afraid to lift and work on the biek by myself. It is very stable. I have banged pulled and pushed and it all stays firmly in place. I got my for 59.99 when it was onsale about 5 months ago.

I need to change by brake pads. Now I would like to know what kind I should purchase. I have seem several types advertised. What is remommended? Organic, Kelvar etc. I know on my 33 plymouth I used the metallic dustless pads but I haven't seen anything advertised for the bikes but Organic and kelvar on ebay. The ones I have now seem to be ok as far as dust but I know the back pad only lasted 1 year or about 8k. I use and believe in the friction zone and perhaps that is why the rear wore out so fast but I don't care I like the fricion zone expecially in this Houston traffic. Any suggestions/links to which pads I should consider? BTY Just ordered the Stelbel horn and Carbon One bracket to replace my current horn. thanks

Network Engineer here in Enterprise environment. You need that protection inside the firewall as well. If an inside desktop gets infected by an email or a travelling laptop you could be brought to you knees in minutes. If keeping all you files intact and keeping all the servers and desktops running so people can work you need to have Total protection. I once worked for HP and we got an infection that hit several thousand servers which took several teams of people working a week to clear. Symantec had to keep releasing updates as the virus changed its methods. Also, here is Houston the city just had to shut down Municipal courts etc due to a virus that is taking them a week to eridicate. If your not getting full updates (based on size of update) then you are not being protected. If you are not paying for support from Symantec or Norton or someone then you will be in deep doo doo when it hits the fan. Hope you work for a small company with enough cash to get through the dab time. Its not a matter or will a virus strike its a matter of when? Tell you company they are risking all their files their servers and being able to function if they fail to be fully covered from virus attacks. Good luck with this. You won't like it if you have to work 24/7 for a week doing nothing but fighting a virus while the entire company continues to call for continous updates so they can go back to work. Just my 2c worth. Good luck

I use the wet towel method and it work great. Use PAM on fender and fairing before ride and the bugs dont stick. Not too heavy though -

Yep,Yep, Handlebars coming off would not be a good thing. Check the service guide and it will tell you if there is torque specs. If not, use blueor red loc-tite on the threads to help keep them tight. You can find a service manual on this site. -

Well friday night I was heading home from work about 9pm and I had a scare. I was going down the local freeway and almost home so I was moving from left inside lane to the next lane over due to lane ending. I had just topped the overpass when I started to straddle the white line on the r side when I spotted it. Someone had dropped a 5 gal paint bucket in the road and it was no more than a few feet away with me going 70-75mph. I was so close to it when I saw it in the dark that I didn't even have time to try to avoid it but I was able to get off center on it. I caught the bucket dead on with the r side crash guard. Luckily, the bucket must have been empty as it disappeared as fast as it appeared and all I heard was one "bang". I didn't bother trying to look back to see where it went as I was more intent on making sure I kept the bike up and going forward. Situations like this is why I don't participate in some of the local "night" rides. Just too many possible road hazards that can appear quicker than you can react. I think I might slow down more at night now or try to get better headlights. Moral I guess is dont outride your headlights at night.

Look at the picture One and you can see where this driver broke through the guardrail, on the right side of the culvert, where the people are standing on the road, pointing. The pick-up was traveling about 75 mph from right to left when it crashed through the guardrail. It flipped end-over-end bounced off and across the culvert outlet, and landed right side up on the left side of the culvert, facing the opposite direction from which the driver was traveling. The 22-year-old driver and his 18-year-old passenger were unhurt except for minor cuts and bruises. Just outside Flagstaff , AZ , on U.S. Hwy 100. Now look at the second picture All I can say is wow!

Seagrams 7 Crown and Southern Comfort makes a good antifreeze if you stay inside. Here is Texas it was about 36 or so this morning but it will warm up to almost 60 today. We decided we didn't need winter here in Southeast Texas anymore. LOL Stay warm everyone

IS is a personal choice but for me I decided to use it when I saw one of its uses on TV. I was watching a sports channel when they brought on "Ice Racing" with motorcycles. These guys were racing at 90,ph on the lake. How were they doing that you ask? The put "Ride On" in the front and back tire then they took a screwgun and put screws intheir tires 4 across and completely around both tires. Now this look really stupid until you realise that the "Ride On" was keeping them from getting flats AND it was allowing the screws to provide traction on the ice. The 2 center screws were longer that the 2 outer screws and all 4 were sheet metal screws that we all use. The alos showed how they could lose a screw or 2 while racing and not have to worry about a flat. I figured that if they could race on tires with about 200 screws in them they perhaps this stuff would help me if I was riding and got a nail or screw in my tire. It will not help with a "blow out" nor will it help if get a nail etc int he sidewalls or hit an edge and cause the tire to lose its hold on the rim. I do also keep a tire repair kit along just in case but mostly because I already had it. Just my 2c

Now go to the tech info and read about installing the bypass toggle switch. It will save you from walking or towing if the switch goes out again or you can just make a jumper for the switch and use it when or if you have a problem. You just have to jump across the 2 wires under the gas tank to start the bike. Been there done that when my died the 3 time.
-
Kabay, If you come by we can install the bypass in about 15 minutes. I have been using the toggle exclusively for about 2 months. You you check the thread as its easy to do but I would be glad to assist. Jim
