  1. If it goes away when warmed up then it likely is an exhaust leak. Strange it would quiet down when revving it up though. Try tightening the exhaust studs just a tad while it is cold, then again while it is hot
  2. Still out for me
  3. As DJ said, I learned a lot about these units in short period of time.Spent roughly $760 in lessons too. For one thing at a time, like either intercom, or music they are great. Try doing those 2 things all at once and it will NOT work. others told me it would. Sena said it would not work, after I bought the set. To listen to music the second(or third) intercom must be "tapped off"via the jog wheel, either of the paired intercoms can bring it back on by "tapping the jog wheel again" and it will mute the music. I actually bought 3 units, the third i used to integrate the factory radio/CB/ intercom to bluetooth. Worked, can even talk on CB via BT, just not without turning off intercom first. I had several email trades with Sena starting here, and it actually took asking this exact same question of 3 different "techs" to get a real answer; Rwmyers125, Apr 22 10:54 AM: Ok, I am headset #1, wife is headset #2 #1 will connect via the media setting to my BT transmitter to play my Sirius When #2 is turned on and the intercom synchs it mutes my Sirius, even though we are set to VOX. This is undesireable, in fact I am highly displeased overall and this may be the straw that gets these sent back if there is no workaround for this Will the SM10 allow me to listen to SIrius and then mute when her incom becomes active via VOX? Bob Myers N4RWM So I get this response and really get confused and frustrated, he tells me it won't, and in next sentence it "should" Reply; James Riley, Apr 22 12:21 PM: I think if i have understood correctly you are asking for a feature that is not advertised with our units. If you can connect to the bluetooth transmitter and hear the sirius then, depending on the transmitter you have hooked up you may be able to music share the sirius with the other headset. The sm10 will allow to headsets simultaneously to listen to an audio source connected to the unit. AS far as vox settings they have nothing to do with the intercom and sirius they only have to do with blowing into the microphone or talking loudly to initiate an intercom. Regardless of vox or not, the intercom should disconnect after a period of inactivity and go back to the music. James Riley Technical Support Specialist Sena Technologies Inc. So, I sold the pair in the box and bought an SMH20s. And it will do what I wanted, play music until her highness speaks into intercom, it then mutes and will return to music in about 3 seconds after last command is issued by her. I am using an SM10 to broadcast the sirius via BT, but any of the cheap $10 units on ebay will do the same thing if you can plug in like a headphone, as DJ does
  4. Is Freebornes the one across the street for Stations Inn?
  5. Look through your messages, I told you what he gets for it, less than half of what the MiXiT sells for by the time you add shipping I also copied you on the message he gave me on returns if we aren't happy, happy, happy
  6. If you drilled a hole in the end(on the originals) can you feed it through like that? Strip would likely just fall down to bottom and lay there but it would be some light
  7. Have you looked into a MiXiT 2? http://www.mixitproducts.com/ I have 2 of these, one on the Vulcan and one on the wing, both do exactly what is decribed above but only have 2 inputs
  8. How low do you have the sensitivity set on the receiver for VOX intercom. I'm down to level 2 and still get intermittent music cancelling, without even starting the bike, her helmet is setting on the bench, mine is 5 foot away
  9. Puc, Tina and i will be along side your town on about Sept 10, 'spose I should stop in and check on you?
  10. Yep, my eyes are too. Wife ask what I was reading that got to me without any apparent provocation. Congrats on the meeting going as well as it did, meeting new relative for the first time can be scary. I met my Grand-daughter for the first time when she was almost 8 years old. That was scary enough
  11. Sure it'll work. When you buy your SENA unit it will come with the proper cable to connect your stereo cable to the SENA too. pairing all this is really simple and easy to do, just don't add an intercom from another helmet,,, it takes priority and turns everything else off until you toggle the intercom off
  12. No, the SM still is only a receive/dual stream only. you need the SR10 to connect to radio to Tx via bluetooth, and an "open end" cable they sell and wire it to a 5 pin DiN connector
  13. compared to a used Venture, a new wing transmission is noisy and sounds sloppy. They all sound like that. Personally, I would be looking for/at a 1500 instead of a 1200. I know where several really nice GL1500 can be had for under $5k, there is actually a GL1500 and an aluminum trailer in Iowa for sale for $4k
  14. Ours are clear as a bell, even at highway speed. Once in a while Tina will get a staic noise in hers but it seems somehow related to the aux fuel pump I have on the fuel cell. she hears static, I turn pump on and off and the static goes away. Coincidence? Any way, i have 3 complete helmet setups, and just bought a 4th unit, a Sena 20s for my helmet. make me an offer on 2 complete setups, the ones with interchangeable mic, one for full face, the other for open. I ran the one for open even in my full face, the closer the mic to your mouth the more background noise it hides. This is sena picture of what I have.
  15. It is an addiction, I'm awaiting the clearance of my third one
  16. A young woman was pulled over for speeding. As the motorcycle officer walked to her car window, flipping open his ticket book, she said, "I bet you are going to sell me a ticket to the Motorcycle Cop's Ball." He replied, "Motorcycle cops don't have balls." There was a moment of silence while she smiled, and he realized what he'd just said. He then closed his book, got back on his motorcycle and left. She was laughing too hard to start her car for several minutes.
  17. While seafoam is a fantastic tool for what you spend it likely won't fix this. These bikes have a weird anomaly in the carb, as they age and wear the mixture gets richer and richer, to the point fuel just runs out,,,sure fire cure is to rebuild the carb. Watch for water pump failures, check the oil, not just level but content. Chocolate milk is a sure sign of a leaky water pump. For $1k, you could order a new carb from Daddy Beemer and still come out ahead
  18. First one I ever saw that was blue like that. Most all the others I have seen are green with the white stripe. When i dug the hole for my antenna I disturbed a nest of snakes, I relocated them didn't kill a single one. I put them in a groundhog hole and covered the entrance with dirt. I understand snakes and groundhogs are enemies and since there were 5 times as many snakes I was hoping they'd run the Ghog off
  19. Well, I knew we were planning too far in advance. Now she wants to make our first stop on Saturday in or around Marysville/Port Huron area. Sunday night Alpeena, Monday night Mackinac, Tuesday night likely Mackinac again after a ride into the UP, I like Hiway 2 so I'll ride it while we're close, Wednesday somewhere around Ludington, Thursday night -who knows! If it were up to me, and me alone I'd load up my underwear and jeans in my Wal Mart luggage(shopping bag) and head out Friday night with no preplanned stops any where. But alas, I'm just the grateful chauffeur.
  20. I thought so too, but never seen one this blue on the sides of his head and not on the body.
  21. This little guy got croaked by a car in front of my house. Any one know what breed it is(was), the blue on the side of his head is the brightest blue i ever saw, never saw a snake with this color on it.
  22. It will multi function, if one of the functions is telephone and the other mp3 jack input. Turn on another intercom and all that stuff quits.
  23. Sure wish I had waited until the 20 was actually being shipped. I have the SMH10, and for a single use they work great, don't try two functions at once because they won't do it
  24. If fuel capacity was same and fuel mileage was the same as my wing is without the sidecar then the '86 would be hands down the better of the 2 for long distance. As it is, guess which I have done all 3 IBA rides on. Yep the first gen
  25. Looks like $1500 or so for all needed components. Looks simple enough, just expensive, with an on the fly fuel setup you could lean it out for some good mileage or fatten it up for some awesome grunt. Yea, I'll take one,, any one got an extra $2g's lying about?
