I was under the impression Alabama was one of the many state who would not certify the slingshot as street legal.

I only want one payment. If I don't have the down payment(paid in full), I keep saving. Bought 2 wings in less than a year, one of them is for resell.

Have to agree with the folks who say the Trace is quit boring and the BRP blows it away by comparison. I will say they are 2 totally different roads, with 2 totally different reasons for being there. Since it is roughly 260 miles from home to the Trace, and 270 from home to Asheville and the parkway, I'll take the longer, more scenic ride. Before any one passes judgement and passes up th Trace you should see it for yourself, it may be the exact road you have looked for.

Well, now we have 5, look what followed me home tonight
Bob Myers replied to Bob Myers's topic in Watering Hole
Wife has learned along time ago when i call and say i'm leaving the shop, headed home that she has several hours to prepare supper. Only takes 45 minutes to get to work, and 2 to 4 hours to get home, unless it is raining -
Found a sweet Goldwing locally for sale, looks like I may have a new commuter vehicle! Why are motorcycles selling so cheap now? Are that many people buying new bikes and selling off the older ones?

We should be getting on the north end of the trace about time you folks start gathering up in Hamilton. Suppose we'll meet along the way? Red Goldwing with sidecar -

I know there is for second Gen, unsure if this'll work on first Gen Ben, does this all mean you are actually going to start riding again? -

Nice ride! Is it my imagination, do you upshift clutchless? Unless I'm really trying to build speed or run off and leave someone I have always done so. -
if it proves to be too high as you suspect it can easily be lowered by putting the axle on top of the springs instead of under. May have to add new spring pads if the axle has built in camber, if it is a simple straight axle just flip it upside down

Several years(15 or so) ago I took the experienced rider course with a friend, at his insistence. During the classroom phase where you look at 6 seconds of video and then 30 seconds later the instructor ask what you saw, I found a threat no one else had seen. It was a car sitting at a stop sign, totally hidden except for a corner of the roof by a car on same street as we were supposed to be. Instructor said I was wrong, there was no car there. Being bull headed as I am I insisted he play the video again and again. On the third repeat he stopped it and lay his pointing stick and remote down and announced "I quit", I been teaching this class for 3 years with this video and no one, including myself have ever seen this car sitting there until now. We all cheered, and he picked up his stuff and continued

E3 Sparkplugs
Bob Myers replied to Bob Myers's topic in Venture and Venture Royale Tech Talk ('83 - '93)
Won't swear to the sync right now but less than 4 months ago it was as close to dead even as my mercury manometer and my skillful blind eyes could get it. Likely pull the carbs shortly and sonic clean them -
E3 Sparkplugs

The plugs I pulled looked great, had about 5 k miles on them, and lots of seafoam additive. I carefully looked at the plugs with a magnifying glass looking for deposits that others claim would be there from the SF, but saw nothing. All 4 plugs look exactly alike so what ever is causing the poor economy is consistent. All 4 are (very)light brown streak down one side, white the rest of the way around. No black.Air filter was fresh last year when i put the diaphragms and plugs in, don't ride off road, mainly interstate, and yes I ride fairly "brisk", usually 12 - 20 over. -

I guess I'll be parking my 86 in your garage this winter and you can do the magic to it that it needs. I replaced diaphragms last fall, have maybe 2500 miles on them. Made no difference in mpg, little change in performance. -

Bob Myers replied to Bob Myers's topic in Venture and Venture Royale Tech Talk ('83 - '93)
That is roughly all I have ever gotten from this, for MPG, in the 14 years i have had it -
Reading some chatter about these on goldwing forum, thought i'd give'em a try in the Venture. Now, whether it is fresh plugs or what, i can hear and feel a difference, less vibration in floorboards, smoother acceleration. I'll know by tomorrow night if their mpg claims are valid or not. I fueled Monday and today, each time right at 110 miles, and each tank was +-.1 gallon, at 3.4 average. By the time I get home tomorrow night I will be at 110 miles again and fuel up. Then we will see!

I think it actually is one of those walk behind mowers, with a few mods of course

THe Stallion isn't any more expensive than a wing with a trike kit or a Venture with a kit. Either of those can cost you above 30k, and don't have an auto trans
