  1. Happy Birthday Annie, may you see many many more!!
  2. Interesting, UPS just left here. He brought me a pile of 1½ round delrin bars. I suppose I should now get busy whittlin on one?
  3. I do know delrin is a much harder material than nylon, and much lighter than aluminum,it can be drilled and tapped, made into bolts much like any of the metals, and has zero chance of any of the galvanism type corrosion that is associated with aluminum to steel contact, is widely used as wear points on robotic equipment and material handling conveyors. I have ordered some material for this, will have several sets ready to ship by next Tuesday. Condor, if I understand the actual difficulties involved in replacing these from factory rubber, it is one of the front bottoms and one rear that is tough to remove. I may be wrong in my understanding of the writings, we shall see when I start to change mine.
  4. I would think with all the thought and time he has put into this, and the excellent piece he has developed there will soon be an outpouring of people wanting to do such a safety upgrade as this. I being unable to calculate the effective increase in stopping power without all the specs, would still think he has developed a 50% increase in stopping power. Heck, a 25% increase would make all the difference in the world to me. I've worn boot heels out trying to haul this 87 to a stop Fred Flintstone style.
  5. We can run the delrin ones anytime, takes about 2 days to get mmaterials, plain aluminum ones also. If you would want anodized aluminum we would need to wait until 20 or so sets were going, otherwise it would raise your price.
  6. I am tooling up to make a set of delrin motor mounts for myself, wonder if any one else here would be interested in delrin mounts for $40 delivered in con US? Full set, 6 pieces, machined to the drawings that have been floating around here for a while. I can also make these from aluminum, probably 6061, maybe even have them anodized to stop the galvonic corrosion. There would need be a decent demand for this, as the anodizing would cost me $100.00 if I did one set or 25 sets. Bare aluminum would be same price as Delrin, adding anodizing would raise cost some
  7. Thank you! I will get on this asap. Unless the previous suppliers were getting free material or doing labor for free i will be competitive!
  8. If some one would provide me with dimensions on these I could run off a couple thousand in a day or two! No idea what they are selling for but would sure like the opportunity to quote them.
  9. Thanks guys, the ebay one is $10 cheaper with free shipping so I'll be buying that one!
  10. Well, we have "hers", it is the red one, we have "mine", the blue one and then there is "ours", the brown one
  11. Lets hear more about this spin on adapter kit please?
  12. I do plan on making several in January, I'll keep you posted.
  13. Mine still works flawlessly!
  14. Good idea Forrest, I would likely make that one over any way. It just didn't suit me for fit and finish if you remember. Any one that wants this loaner tool or a personal version of it can post in this thread or PM me. Myers Machine 724 Westland Dr Lexington, Ky40504
  15. Ruffy, are you capable of making a detailed drawing of it? I have forgotten most of the dimensioning. Forrest and I changed it some after the first run, and we did not document the latest/greatest version of it. Dave, I can do so, give me a couple weeks to either dig this hole deeper or get out of it. I am covered up at work right now. In fact, I'll likely pull another 12 tomorrow and 8 on Sunday, just trying to finish off stuff from July.
  16. Well, we made it home. Tina got overheated wandering around the Village compound and I actually thought we were going to have to take her to an ER room. She showered in cool water for about 10 minutes, drank 32oz of Gatorade, took a nap, woke up red all over and hot as can be, showered again with cool water and went back to napping. When she got up this morning to leave we was swollen all over, and had leg cramps. Another Gatorade and we headed off for home. We ran into rain , actually a light mist between Bowling Green and Findlay, sort of hung with us all the way to Ky border, if not for the rain and it had been hot she would have vapor locked somewhere in Ohio and we'd be there still. Folks I am so sorry i didn't make it to the meet, especially after you guys went to so much trouble making the plans fit for everyone.
  17. From now until likely Sunday eve my internet will be either non existent or spotty at best. My cell number is in the vr assistance files. On my way out the door for The Henry Ford.
  18. Dang its hot! Just checked in, so thankful to be oof the freeways and out of the bumper to bumper trffic. Room 512
  19. Saturday would suit us better. Not sure what time we'll be there on Friday.
  20. I had a full scale atlas but it proved to be rather cumbersome to fold and unfold, so I memorized it.
  21. A restaurant would suit us better.
  22. My friend thank you for the offer, it is most gracious offer! I'll pm you my cell number or you can get it from the vr assistance list. Maybe we can make this work! We plan on doing The Henry Ford on Saturday and Greenfield on Sunday. It (at this time) is supposed to be a little cooler and less humid on Sunday.
  23. We would be up for a meet/eat, wife don't want to travel too far from Motel after being on her feet all day though. Not knowing anything about the area i'm open for more suggestions
  24. For several years back in the late 90's and into 2000/2002 they were owned and located here in Lexington Ky. My understanding is the man that owned the company and rights to the name sold it to an Italian company in 2003
  25. Wow! Iknew I'd get a few answers but never expected a turnout like this. We are riding our Vulcans up on Friday, plan is to be there around 3 or 4pm, if we get the early start I have anticipated We'll be staying at the Hawthorne in Southfield, not the Ritz but at $72 per night with a full kitchen I don't think we'll be too bad off. The M&E/G&E sounds great, I'll run that by my wife this evening and advise tonight .
