  1. It has roughly 39k. Pads have not shown an accelerated wear pattern worse on one side than the other, so maybe it was done right by machining the spacer
  2. May 8, 1979 for me. No meetings, did it on my own promises to my loved ones Jan 7, 1993 at 11AM. Cold Turkey, no patch, no drugs
  3. Booster motor for an RSV? COuld use all the help they can find
  4. Nooooooo, once you marry them off you get to not only take care of them still but you inherit a son in law to raise, and then if you are lucky, you'll get a Grand baby to raise and play with!
  5. A smaller master would give more psi at the caliper with same squeeze(presuming lever to plunger ratio was the same), however I could not fathom it to be more than 100psi going from a .625 diameter down to a .551 diameter, and would require a minute amout of extra throw of the lever to apply the same amount of fluid to caliper. If pegscraper says it is a drastic improvement then that would be all the research I need!
  6. parts shipped today! 4-18-12
  7. 3 sets paid for and shipping today!!
  8. Two of them just alike on ebay, single pocket though. Item #370267046590
  9. If you weren't so far away, I can fix that easy in 30 minutes! My first thought looking at that is to open the hole up about1mm, press a bushing into that, that I fabricated from oil-lite material(oil impregnated bronze), then via a cnc mill do a circle mill on the shaft to drop the diameter back to round and pit free again, looks like maybe 1mm would would, then ream the pressed bushing for whatever size my shaft ended up being. Drilling the casting with a normal twist drill will result in a larger oval shaped hole, the twist bit will follow the already distorted hole, a multi flute reamer the next larger size will bring it back to round
  10. We did our taxes in January, waited until Friday to mail it since we had to include about $4k in taxes
  11. Got the permit today for my building, those folks have gotten rather strict, my kit building has to be tied down every 18". I figured one on each corner would suffice.
  12. Man I swear I'd give the spin on adapter a shot at solving that, take it to a shop(or send it to me) and have the O-ring groove cut wider, not necessarily deeper, but wider for a larger cross section O-ring and grease it up good with silicone and screw it on.
  13. I totally concur, with the amount of heat involved in welding aluminum and the rate at which the heat spreads in aluminum I would never consider that, even with a MiG welder. I'm thinking if he gets a spin on adapter that once he gets it seated his problem may be forgotten. I'm looking at my adapter right now, it is machined to fit the stock can Oring, but it could easily be machined for a larger cross section Oring to spread out the seal area even more.
  14. This is where I bought mine, had I known how simple it was I would have machined it myself! http://http://www.ebay.com/itm/Oil-Filter-Adapter-plate-83-93-Yamaha-Venture-/250988750735?_trksid=p4340.m185&_trkparms=algo%3DSIC.NPJS%26its%3DI%252BC%26itu%3DUA%26otn%3D5%26pmod%3D250852278527%26ps%3D63%26clkid%3D7691027840088324805
  15. Yes, it is! I just razzin you, jealous that my first garage wasn't but 24x24, new place we just bought has a 32 x 38 garage attached, and within the month my 24x26 metal building should be erected to keep all the yard junk in and out of my garage.
  16. Now, if you really want tot text here is a guy who can teach you the art of multi tasking on a moving bike; [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U2T3yWtTBGM]Extreme Facebook Update..Like a boss.. - YouTube[/ame]
  17. I have a Nuvi 350 and a 780, both have MP3 players, neither work too well on my ham radio with aux input, must be the phasing of the audio, if I run it off the battery it is loud and proud, connect to my harness and it gets weak.Possibly a patch cable to reverse the phasing, eh Buddy?
  18. Eh? Look at the join date above your city name, then look at mine, now who followed who, better question is who is more happy to be here? When did you get a Yammy, what did you do with your Vulcan?
  19. Well, compared to the width of it no, it is quite cozy, but,,,,
  20. Have you considered doing one of the oil filter mods, where you install a plate and use spin on filters instead of the can? The spin on adaptor could be fitted with a extra large Oring, it would need be installed only once.
  21. I don't mean to hijack this, that is some good info on the painting deal. Would it work better or less good if you painted it with Mexican Chrome spray?
  22. As others have said Steve, I too am testament that winning is possible, like ctraylor I fought the testicular battle too, I chose both rad and chemo, thought I was dying every morning for 3 months, when it was over I instantly felt better. I guess my morale was falling and we cannot let that happen to you!! Oh, that was 32 years ago come this September! I'm right up the street from you for now, in Paris, but soon moving to Madison county
  23. here is the solution;
  24. I know this has been ask at least once, why so small?
  25. It appears as though I may be entering into this realm also, and yes once established I will be more than happy to share some dividends! ALso, I want to thank Don for his continued support of all of us with all we do, our trials and tribulations, etc. He always has a kind word of comfort for those who have been without one for too long, and from all reports, he never meets a stranger. Through this site I have made several friends, and lots of great aquaintances, some of whom welcomed me into their home to break bread with them, and then helped fix my distressed bike(I'll never forget the hospitality extended there!). You just don't find folks like that on any other motorcycle related forum, quite possibly any other forum period.
