Seen this a dozen times, but I did not know there was a tab needing bent to adjust the nut. It (the nut) merely squeezes on the shaft much like a packing on a water spigot, excellent of you to bring this out, especially about the tab.
-
You need one right now? Local computer supply will have a 5 pin DiN for a keyboard extension cord, same critter, cut and splice where you want.

let it idle for 20 or so minutes, let the fan cycle a couple times, that'll get it hot and allow the seafoam to soak the primaries, then let it sit overnight. -
US 62 to US68. Only two roads you need to know, take you all the way there, roughly 800 miles. May want to hit some interstate around Youngstown, or go through there after 9am and beforelunch! Busybusy.

Another new way to mount stuff on a 1st gen handlebar.
Bob Myers replied to Snaggletooth's topic in Watering Hole
I knew this day would come, I sent out a set of stud mounts and received a message asking why one was different. In the original discussion on these the consensus was to drill/tap one for RAM mount. With that said, in future orders if you want one or both drilled/tapped on the end then you must advise or you will receive a set that has not been drilled/tapped. For the one person who sent a PM concerning this, your pm box is full, you cannot receive any messages. -
My building package had foam to put under the ridge cap, where it goes across the ridges

Solid Motor Mounts revisited

Geeze, that picture makes it look like it was made to fit there! -
I have one I'd part with for less than that. I bought it last year, did the service at the same time, etc. Service expired last month, just have no use for it now. PM an offer, you may be surprised!

Wal MArt/Kmart/Autozone/Advance Auto, they all have them for little money, I found some at Dollar Tree, they fell off in the parking lot because the double side tape was crappy. Had I known that I would have scraped the tape off and used good tape.

I'm with Dennis on this, I like to maintain 30-50mph on curves without scraping bike or human parts on the road to do so. Deal's Gap US 129 is fine if you are in Maryville and need to get to Robbinsville quickly, otherwise I'll take the long(more scenic) way around and go across the Cherohala Skyway. My first ride across that was the week they opened it up after paving the entire thing for the first time, about 18 years ago.

I appreciate the plug! I wish I could afford to just give them away, but alas I am not wealthy like Snaggle and Dingy so I must charge a modest amount so I can buy cat food to keep my babies fed. -
that car came down the ramp the wrong way, then over into the fast lane. Certainly had a death wish.

Lets see some video!

This would be my first choice! Let it run until it gets hot!! I got good enough at pulling the carbs on the 99 RSTD I worked on that I could do it without even looking at the bike, and after 5 or 6 pulls, this method worked. Next step was a sonic cleaner and lemon juice
-
If you are determined to remove the carbs one more time, soak it in a lemon juice water solution heated up just short of boil, or soak it in a sonic cleaner with 50% lemon juice. Real lemon juice not the frozen concentrate.

I called and the girl who answered said they "Do not accept any orders from the US", nor do they accept any telephone orders. Looks like some one from Canada would have to buy and ship these to us.
-
Just tried to buy one, no such luck. their website is not setup to allow shipping to the US. Guess I'll have to call them tomorrow!

WOW! That is quite a "herd"
-
Man, it sure looks like quite a turnout!! What was head count this year?
-
Reading the description/accesories for it there is a 12v adaptor to charge it, does this mean it may run on the 12v as well?
