  1. Put me on the short list for this too, if everyone else passes send me a PM with a price.
  2. I wish the piece of crappy trash I bought from a member here had looked even remotely like this one. Maybe then it would have fit.
  3. Try this, http://www.ebay.com/itm/30-Gallon-Drum-Type-Parts-Washer-with-Flow-Thru-Brush-Made-in-USA-8090-30-/350704729171?pt=Motors_Automotive_Tools&hash=item51a7a17c53&vxp=mtr
  4. The wind on my knees feels the same whether I ride my Vulcan(bought new in a dealership) or my wifes Vulcan(I rebuilt from a totaled wreck), hers actually looked better than mine until some one some where a few weeks ago bumped it and dented the tank. I'd be happy to take that dreaded "salvaged" bike off your hands, shoot me a price via PM, i happen to be looking for something to trike
  5. If you can't ride how are you going to get home? How are you getting your bike home? What about the other couple, how did they fare in this?
  6. I can hear one or two plugs crackling in the intercom and on AM radio. I may very well have same scenario as you with the open.
  7. I'm only 50 miles from there, have truck and trailer, can I be of assistance?
  8. Careful, you are a little too close, less than 60 miles, all 3 bikes just sitting in the garage
  9. Obviously when people too lazy to look up a number and call directory assistance they ask for the department store Meijer and add an "S" to it, making it sound like my name, so the 411 op gives them a "Myers" in the yellow pages not caring if it is a machine shop, flower shop or the department store. I have had several people call 4 or 5 times (same person, same id number) asking for Housewares. After the 4th call I just told her "Please Hold", I put her on hold and go about my business. Next day she calls back and wants Housewares again. When we lived in Paris the phone was listed under my wife's name, and there was a black lady in town same name, spelled a little different who cut hair for a living. We would get phone calls for her all hours of the day and night wanting an appointment for a "fro" or dlocks. One woman insisted that she get her corn rows fixed today. Well this lady got an answer she never expected. I informed her that Teena M was forced to stop cutting hair. She of course ask why, and I gave her about 20 seconds of silence. When she ask why again I ask her if she had not heard the news. Of course she got all calm and ask what news. I informed her that Teena had cut off a little girls ear while trimming her hair and she wouldn't be cutting hair any longer. That my friends was the last call I remember getting for a haircut or perm. My business phone is one digit off from a very popular carry out sub shop so I get a lot of calls for a sandwich to go. I of course take their order and then call the correct number and place the order for them. Sometimes correctly, sometimes I'll add Jalapenos or Habanero to the sandwich
  10. I got in easily, by google and click the forum link. Looks like only the intro page is defunct.
  11. I actually have posession of it again, it is for second gen, so it is a 41
  12. OK, reason I ask is my wife does soaps and candles , etc. I am about to build her a device, using wire, that will cut 12 bars at once. Just wondered if any one here had a soap maker in the family that may be interested in such a device.
  13. Any you guys have a spouse(or do it yourself) that is into Soap Making? If so, what are they using to cut the loaf after curing?
  14. My local store told me you cannot order an item and have it shipped free to the local store. If it is a stock item in the store and out of stock they will but not a special.
  15. I was told you cannot order even at the store and get free delivery to the store. If it isn't a stock item in THAT store you will pay shipping on it
  16. I've called over a dozen dealers, sent emails to half a dozen more, seems as though no one east of LA rents these any more.
  17. Gray I like your post on this. This have been the most positive thing I have read about these outside of the SPYDERRIDER.com site! Thank you for sharing this.
  18. Or shoes for the wife, or food for yourself. What happened to the clause that if you made under XX dollars you would be exempt. I know that was in the original discussion of the farce care package
  19. On my Vulcan the antenna sits on top of the brake master, on the Venture I found a flat bracket that had been yellow zinc plate, screwed it to one of the screws that hold the inner windshield trim. Neither have ever moved My Sirius is one of the deals you snap into a cradle and it makes all the connections when done so, I pop it out of my Magnum, and onto whichever bike i'm riding.
  20. I live in Ky, only snowmobiles I ever saw were either in pictures, on a trailer, or a you tube video of one wiping out! Rode a Ski Doo once though
  21. Every one is in unison with the "ride it for a hundred miles" thought, wife really, really wants one of these, specifically the tour model so I guess we'll be in the market to rent or test ride one . Any one know where one could be rented in South Carolina area? She wants to go back to Charleston for a week, be nice to do both at same time
  22. I fully understand the huge difference of the 2 versus 3 wheel mannerism. This thing will be like riding an ATV on the highway except for the flotation tires. I just can't fathom some one buying this for 25-30k and dumping it after only a year. If I buy one it'll be in my stable for a minimum of 10 years so dependability is my main concern. Skid; you said immediately that you couldn't keep them running, they didn't last long. Care to elaborate on that fairly ambiguous statement please?
  23. May possibly be in the market for one of these. However, looking at the used ones for sell makes me wonder about them in a serious manner. Most of the ones you see for sell have less than 7k miles on them, with the average of the 128 units on ebay right now being 1500 or so miles. What gives here? Are these playtoys of the rich and they get bored with them quickly or is there really something wrong that makes the owner ditch them in less than a year?
  24. Did that when I put the new diaphragms in, all 4 looked to be responding equally as well as the others. Was talking to a good friend of mine today, the same guy who rode the Iron Butt ride with me. He reminded me this bike was acting almost the same back then, and like this time it appeared sort of suddenly. After thinking on it for a bit i remembered what we did to cure it, then. Klotz Octane booster. 16 ounces in 5 gallons of gas, ride for 30 miles, let it sit for 30 minutes. So, i stopped at bike dealership on the way home, bought a couple cans(half off, they are dumping their stock) and dumped half of one in. Rode to gas station, filled up and headed home. i could actually feel the danged thing smoothing out some. Not saying it cured or helped appreciably but,,, take off from stop light and it was pretty smooth all the way up to road speed. Tomorrow will tell me if I was dreaming/wishful thinking or if it really helped already. Hope it was junk in the jets, I'm not feeling warm and fuzzy about pulling these off.
  25. If that is the "point" then likely it is that or a plugged jet. It is like it hits 2300 and a cylinder drops, when it gets to 2500 it comes back in and pulls smooth all the way to the limit of my nerve
