Build it and use it for a couple of years. You can always look for a good used one while your using this one and sell yours if your not completely happy with it.

I used Goo Gone on mine. Then washed with warm water and mild detergent. Followed by Novus 1 to be sure I got all the Goo Gone off.

Gail and I are shocked to hear of Don's passing. We had the pleasure of meeting and camping next to him at the International last year in NY, and of course he just had to introduce Angel and I to the pecan coffee. He was such a kind,helpful and knowledgeable person that always had a smile and story to share. Don was one of many people on this site that we were looking forward to seeing and talking to again. In the short time we shared together, he enriched my life with his friendship. Don, you will be missed my friend. Prayers are being sent for his family and friends at this sorrowful time.

Actually, my HD is by far easier to work on than my 86 VR. And the service manual is easier to understand and look things up in. All electrical has been plug and play.....HD thought things out very well.

Which reminds me also....( oldtimers keeps getting in the way) I would like to thank everyone that bid on the buckle to help St. Judes kids.
