need mechanic in SE Ohio
BuckShot replied to jonn1963's topic in Venture and Venture Royale Tech Talk ('83 - '93)
Freebirds maintenace day--June 6--Oberlin, Ohio. Sorry I couldn't be more help. You may have to trailer it there if worse comes to worse. Maybe someone will chime in that can help you more. -
My dad raises and runs field trail beagles. At last count he had 12 dogs, and has had up to 25. He said that with the corn going for ethenal the price of food as really went up. He feeds Purina Dog Chow-Healthy Life Nutrition. I use the same for my Aussie and Fox Terrier. Look at the ingrediants and compare. Sometimes the high price stuff your paying for the name.

I myself wouldn't give an inch. I wouldn't allow my wife to concide anything. You know the old saying, Give them an inch and they take a mile. I realize this is very difficult, and you will be dealing with this for a long time, but in the end you will feel better. In the years to come, maybe it will help your daughter to know that you did everything possible to have this man punished. I can only immagine the red tape involved with something like this, and I know you want this over with so you can try to put it behind you and get on with your lives. Take everything slowly and with determination and things will work out for the best. Just let the wheels turn slowly but stay determined. We are all here for you in whatever you decide. Your family are in our thoughts and prayers.

I have an 86 and mounted the cig lighter where the intercom wire comes though on the left side of the fairing (removed the gromet) and ran the int. wire above (over the fake tank cover ( just long enough) I used mine to pump up queen size air mattress with the bike running. No problem. Use it to power gps also. Can't remember for sure how I wired it up for sure, but think straight to battery with fuse.

Looks sweet Jeff--Can't wait to see it in person. You going to ride alot now or spend all your time in the gargage waxing ?

I have an 86 and get 36 mpg. My fan runs off a temp sensor (comes on and off) I have always felt the turn signals cancel to soon.

Better than Christmas isn't it Cougar.

Chrome just stands out more on a black bike. I noticed that years ago when I was a teenager and looking at bikes in parking lots and going down the road.

You need a larger size.

Eck--Just because your a moderator, doesn't give you the right to pick on new people:no-no-no: We all know you feel inferior because you have a 2nd gen. and secretly wish for a 1st gen on all your birthdays when you blow out the candle's.:rotfl:

Some of the guys I rode with back in the late 80's didn't get rid of their bikes untill they had around 100,000 on them. They always keep the bikes well maintained. My 86 gets 35 mpg. Wish it got better. BTW welcome to the site.

They are all very important--I don't know to who:confused24:,but to someone at some time I'm sure. Can you imagine what people would think 1000 years from now, if someone got one of our computers up and running, and found this web site with everything saved. These people worshiped some guy by the name of Freebird. Seems like everyone was an expert as nothing. They had to take pictures of everything to remember. When for a loss of words they used pictures. Sometimes they didn't even write, just used pictures to say things. Always poking each other with sticks:stickpoke: What kind of people were they anyway, riding around on something with 2 wheels. (what are wheels anyway) Should we try to find some of these thing and see if we can get them to work to see what all the fuss was about? Golly ,now we know:cool10: :rotfl:

May God ease the pain the family and friends feel at this sad time. Our prayers will be with all of them. May God bless them all.

Check out the Hoyt bows. With their cam and a half system they are very easy to pull. I was shooting a Jennings bow before set at 60# with 65% letoff because I hunt thought Jan. here in Ohio, and at those low temp's and bundled up it was hard to pull. My Hoyt is set at 65# with 85% let off and I can pull and hold it no problem. Check out www.Hoyt.com

I have a picture of my Grandma on the back of one of my first bikes somewhere. She wouldn't go for a ride, but dad said he couldn't believe she even sat on it.

When replacing regular light with LED's on trailer do you have to do anything else ( add diodes ???) Or can you just take old light off and wire in the new LED ? Thanks Gil

It's a sad fact any way you look at it. Don't know all the problems of the bike weeks at MB but they had to have their reasons. We may not agree with them, but even if we boycot MB it won't hurt them in the long run. And that is a sad fact for us if we stay away. I remember all the hunters and shooters boycoting Wallmart because they quit selling some amunition after Colinbine. Just because some of the amunition used in those shootings came from Walmart, Walmart decided to quit selling it. Didn't hurt their business at all anywhere that I can recall,or can see. The one thing that does bug me is the fact that they are implementing a helmet law inside the city limits when the rest of the state doe's not have one. Now don't get me wrong, I wear a helmet 99% of the time, but I believe its the riders choice, exspecially in a state that says it is your choice.

Really hate to say this, Naw a don't:smile5: Glad its down their and not up here in Northern Ohio. Keep that weather as long as you want, maybe it will warm up sooner here. Its 33 degrees now, sun shining, almost looks nice enought to go for ride.

Ok everyone--I'm extremly new at all this. I just signed up for paypal last year and all I have listed with them is my mastercard. They don't have any of my bank information. I've bought 4 items on ebay and 2 from a member here using paypal and my cc with no problems so far. Every once in a while they ask me about securing my cc with bank acct. information but I don't want to do that. If I'm reading and understanding everyone right, you can set up other acct. with paypal and this one from Don and have money in them and transfer money in and out for payments or to recieve payments. Is this correct? With just my credit card listed with paypay can I recieve payments ? Like I said, I'm new at all this.
