I have a friend that rides a Harley and he used to ride as soon as the roads were clear and no snow on the sides of the road.....washed his bike after every ride and wiped it down....in two years he had all kinds of pitting on the underside of his 2 year old bike....he don't ride now untill we have had a couple of good rains to wash the roads off. Just sayen
Prayer's sent for you and your family to find peace in your time of sorrow.
With my Dad passing away in December, and Mom passed in 2000, I know how you feel. Know that there is comfort in talking to her when your troubled, even now.
I used Rain X on my 86 windshield for years before it started hazing over. But it did and I had to replace. The bike got parked for a few years while kids were in sports, but off hand I would say 8-10 years I used it on the stock windshield before it did.
I know what he is doing..................................He is going to follow in the footsteps of some of us on this site. Now that Harley is making a liquid cooled bike...He is going to buy a Harley Trike..... :duck:You may not know this , but Don was looking at Harley's before he bought the RSV.
Its true folks....he almost bought one in 08.
He has been secretly admireing mine...father in laws trike...Aussie Annie's trike....Eddies...and Freebirds...and the others on this site that have been showing up at VR events....
He is finally to the Harley's....
Welcome to the Harley side of life Don and Patti.....
Seriously Don and Patti...Gail and I and family are wishing you both enjoyment in whatever path you decide to take. So glad your not leaving this great VR family. No matter what you ride or ride in, you two are very special people and we are honered to call both of you family and friends.
Just pull and tug on canvas to make sure its not dry rotted. They do make products to seal the canvas against rain that you can use once you get it. Check all zippers for proper operation. check the screens for rips or tears. Just look it over good for any problems and if there are any...can you fix them? Sometimes to fix older mc campers you have to make parts and be a fabricator. LOL. Other than that ...tires, wheel bearing and such can be replaced. Also look to see if any seams are coming apart or need resewed.
