    Very good news indeed. Dan, listen to the doctors and just sit back and relax. Its going to be hard for you to sit still I know, but you need to heal completely. If you get to bored, you could memorize both service manuals for the Venture's. Gail, Lance and I will continue to keep you and your family in our thoughts and prayer's untill you are completely recovered. Gil

    Dano--So glad you posted. Been praying for you and the family daily. Lance said it could have been worse, so put up with the pain and get better. LOL Hope you and the family had a good Thankgiving. Tedd Webb,( the guy that bought the camper) has been asking about you every few days. He was wondering if you could recieve E-Mails yet. Rose ( the girl that hooked you and Tedd up) has also been keeping up with your progress and sending prayer's daily. Mind the doctors and nurses and don't give them to much trouble...impossable I know, but try.. Keep taking those baby steps and get better soon. Gil,Gail and Lance.

    :sign yeah that::sign yeah that: My son rides a Harley and is a member here. He has made friends and no one cares what he rides. After the first International he went to they said if he didn't join, they would hunt him down and force him to cough up the money. If you haven't figured it out yet........STICK AROUND. You already know you will not find a better bunch of people. And we will still help you with whatever we can, be it help on the road or ride info for somewhere you are planning on riding to....:wow:find that on another forum......

    Some people here knew that I lost my job in June 2010 due to business necessity. They did offer me a seasonal job for winters which I took. After looking for a job all summer with no success, they called me back Oct 1,2010 for the winter. In April 2011 they asked me if I would like to stick around for the summer and I accepted. In Aug 2011 they offered my full time postion back with all benifits like I had never left, which I accepted. So...I am back to work full time. At my age tho....I did miss having the summer off and found out it wouldn't take much for me to retire..... If not for the better health insurance,( we was on my wife's for awhile) I could have stayed on seasonal and just collected unemployment for a few months each summer.

    I also know the point that was trying to be made. I personally don't think using the words attack ANTHING in capital letters was the right choice.Someone not familiar with wildlife (deer in this instance) could believe that it is dangerous to be outside near a woods at this time of year. I believe bucks attacking cars or humans is rare.,but I won't say it has never happened or won't happen again. It is wise to be extra careful with the crops coming out and the rut beginning. Exspecially early morning and at night,but the bucks can be chasing does at any time of day. On another note...I knew a guy that was attacked by a 6 point buck, but this guy was so stupid, he used doe in heat scent on his cloths as a cover scent. The buck charged at him grunting,but when he started yelling and jumping the buck turned tail and ran. He had a crossbow in his hand,but that would have been a lucky shot at a fast moving deer.

    Being an avid deer hunter for more than 30 years, I can say this is a false statement. Bucks do loose some sense during this time of year and they will try and keep other bucks away from the hot doe they are tending. Alot of deer are also being moved around this time of year because of the crops coming out of the fields. When a buck chases a doe they will run wherever regardless of roads. So it is wise to be careful when riding or driving this time of year.

    Thanks for the updates Brad and Tom. Prayer's are still being sent for Dan and his entire family from Gail,Lance and I. Dan and Rose are special people and special to the three of us. Like someone else has said, there was not a time when talking with Dan that he did not bring a smile to our faces or just plain laugh with him.

    Gail and I was so shocked to hear this. Prayer's being sent for Dan's full recovery. Dan and Rose are great, and go out of their way to help and make everyone feel welcome at the meets. My prayer's will continue for Dan and for Rose and family to help them thru this ordeal. If there is anything I might be able to help with, don't hesitate to call. Gil

    Friend of mine that is a PT says he has more problems with older people that say it hurts to much and don't do the exercises like they should. My dad had his knee replaced when he was 80 and he still works it and excercises. He is 87 now and still bowhunts out of a ladderstand. Acts like he is 75 again. My PT friend says you have to do the excercises and it will hurt, but in the end it will pay off with more mobility. My dad said the PT hurt like heck,but is very glad he worked the knee hard.
