I agree 100%. I could be wrong but seemed to have started with self service gas stations. They took the personalization out of it and hasn't stopped. Unless you are the business, no matter where you work, that's the aim of the game. low overhead, high profits. Long time ago when they built the Walmart in the city I grew up in my dad refused to go there. He liked the smaller Kmart better. Well after a while Kmart closed so he had only one choice after that.

I will take oldgoat's example. What I don't get is if they refund you money after bringing this up then that is completely on them (putting it politely). The boards clearly indicate the price for medium and large items. If I was a manager/trainer whatever I would stand my ground. Price for medium is on the board and you asked for a large so I am charging you a large. I don't think they need to state you can get xyz size for an additional charge. This might be one reason why McD's has gone to $1 for their drink sizes. If you notice on your receipt if you get a small meal and ask for the medium or large drink they will remove the cost of the small drink (even though technically it is supposed to be $1) and charge you a $1 seperately thus charging you more. Maybe arrogance on my part but places like Mc'D's, Carl's Jr., etc... They could care less who you are. You leave and never come back makes no difference to them. They know there are 50 people to take your place.

Anyone doing online contests? I am doing the fiat USA Facebook contest and the fox.com/Alcatraz contest for a new mustang. I missed the 1st round so working on the 2nd round. I got the the 1st answer (puzzle 16) and couldn't figure out the rest. I think of myself as a smart person but these things I haven't got a clue. Thankfully there are folks out there that have figured it out and posted the answers and explanations in most cases. Even after the answers are explained I still have no clue how to solve it after trying to reverse engineer the puzzles.

For my particular question I am referring to lipo batteries used by r/c modelers. I was trying to figure out how long a battery will last. I have a formula that is on a website that discusses lipo batteries. I thought I had it figured out except for 1 part. My assumption was that based on their formula was on how quickly it would last would be based on per cell. My thought was just multiply the formula answer by how many cells the battery has and that is how long the battery should last. I was wrong. Thanks for the info guys

Just in general for any battery if a battery has multiple cells and is ran in a series does the battery drain 1 cell at a time? If the battery is ran in parallel does all cells drain at the same time?

My e-flite apprentice came today. Now I just have to work on a battery and charger.

Sounds interesting. Give us the 411 please

I think what we have here is a fine example of reverse pejorativation. Oh poor, poor 1st genners. Please forgive them for that which they do not know.
-
I might be insulted if I only knew what pejorative meant.

What do you all think of a TH400 for his application? Works just fine with the 350 small block in my '70 Chevelle. -

I was 30 when I bought a new 2003 Honda VTX 1300 S Retro. I wish I could have kept it. Now I am on the 2nd bike I have ever owned. '99 Venture

I also checked out a Craigslist ad today and bought a Goldberg Eagle 2 trainer and an AA Industries (designed by Bud Nosen) P51, $90 for both. If anyone is looking for some planes (some need repaired) let me know and I can email you the pics and pricelist he sent me.

Just won a e-flite apprentice on eBay. The only issue they noted was the wing and/or fuselage may have a few light dents/dings on fuselage. Saved $60+ including shipping over buying brand new.

I stayed at the Riveria a couple times in college. Had no complaints about the accomadations

tx I just need a straight audio/video feed from my laptop to my tv. I am getting into the r/c world so someone let me borrow their sim software to practice with until I get an airplane. I would much rather see it in a tv vs a laptop. Also the kiddos could watch it too easier.
-
Also pulled out the tv to be sure. I was wrong about having s-video. I only have RCA jacks. :-(
-
I will check out the other sites too but I did just find this. What do you think? http://stores.nextag.com/store/4857524/product/950019112/USB-Male-A-to I have liked Belkin for a long time. I haven't had a need for a cable for a long time either. Gotta agree with Don's comment about Monster. I don't know about their quality anymore but way overpriced.
-
Never mind. I just read comment on the manufacturers web-site about parts missing out of the box, nose breaks off easily and that part is always out of stock.

Check this trainer out. Wingspan is as big as I have seen them and for around $60 less. Not sure if this has been posted before http://www.nitroplanes.com/93a300-1400-skytrainer182-blue-arf.html

The one from newegg would be what I am looking for. I would have to buy another s-video cable because 5" is way too short (keep it clean folks lol)
-
Want to connect my laptop that has a VGA, USB, hdmi, and maybe a FireWire ports. My tv is older in that is has s-video and RCA jacks. I can't seem to be able to find a cable anywhere. Suggestions?

Monty being new to the r/c world I am not sure what you mean by Nitro. Is that just another way of saying gas engine?
