MJ. He did a great job on your scoot Should give props to his partner in crime. She basically cleaned each bike twice and they both almost went non-stop all day. Hard working folks those 2 are.
-
What was his name. LOL
-
Thank you both for opening up your home.

I forgot the care instructions for the pinstripe. I believe he said no wax for 30 days but you can wash it. I use Turtle Wax Ice wash. Do you think that would be a problem?
-
Sorry I messed you Dave. Didn't get to meet you. I have 1 word for you Stardbog...SMOOTH!!!!!!!!!
-
J Bird did an excellent job and I am surprised at how low he charged. Any other rally could have at least doubled the cost easily.
-
I finally met up with him. :-)
-
Jeff, Are you here at Don's? Jerry

I wonder if he can match colors/design done by someone else? I have a pinstripe on my trunk. Maybe I will look into having something done somewhere else like fairing, trunk or bags.

gear for auto reverse. As far as what it is and what it is used for. Call or email the manufacturer. Hope you speak Deutsch. Pretty cheap. $46,35 Euros http://www.smolka-berlin.de/onlineshop/en/artikel/SWF_VALEO_NIDEC_ITT_404.904_Motor,_Getriebemotor_12_V_DC/4262 -
What do I need to bring to have them greased? Bummer has tuned my firestik's a couple times but it has been with his meter. Now I have my own so I want to learn using mine and mine isn't the same model as his. Like you said. Easy to do but can be time consuming though. Now that I am thinking about it one thing that Bummer recommends is an open area (not sure how big) without any buildings and such that can interfere with the readings. Last time we did it we went to a cul-de-sac without any houses built around it and planted the bike right in the middle of the circle.

Originally I wanted to go to MD just to hang out and have a good time and still do :-). I didn't think I had any maintenance that I wanted to have done. So I was going through some old posts of mine trying to find some info. and ran across one that I can now think of that I would like to learn more about which is greasing the pins. Dealer couldn't do it when I made the post originally and ended up it is because of a snap ring that is difficult to locate. So if I want this done what do I need to buy to bring with me? A neighbor also gave me a SWR meter last year that I would like to know how to tune my firestiks with.

One thing about the ones you posted is the comment about the wind noise. Not sure if J&M mics do that?
-
June 2008 I bought my '99 with 55k. Even though it wasn't what I paid for it the dealer asked $7200 and was similarly equipped compared to the one you are asking about. I knew the previous owner so I knew more about the bike's history than the dealer. I wouldn't hesitate to look into buying juggler's bike. I think it said 93k miles. Heck it ain't even broke in yet and a trailer to boot. If you don't care about the trailer sell it. I am sure someone on this board would buy it or see if he will deal without the trailer. Just makes the bike that much cheaper either way.

I like how the door is included. This is the only J&m setup that I could find that doesn't have the outside clamp. My guess is this is the one they are installing but that is just a guess. http://www.sierra-mc.com/proddetail.asp?prod=JM-HS-ICD584-CLAMPLESS

Tom I am sorry to hear about this and I do know how tuff it is. My brother passed away at the end of March. Thought and prayers from my family to yours.

Look at what I just found. It is clampless just like what they told me could only be done at their factory. http://www.sierra-mc.com/proddetail.asp?prod=JM-HS-ICD584-CLAMPLESS Here is another one but says high output. Is there really a difference? http://www.sierra-mc.com/proddetail.asp?prod=JM-HS-ECD584-FL-HO Found this describing J&M's custom installation process and the helmet they used sounds just like the 900. http://archives.wingworldmag.com/august2002/magazine/department/productreport.html This is crazy. Here is the patent info. along with pics when you open the pdf file http://www.freepatentsonline.com/7616774.html

I can't see the 1st pic. Stardbog the only thing about Bluetooth is it won't connect to the radio. Don't know if you can listen to tunes on your iPhone via Bluetooth or not but as bad as the batteries last won't be listening for long if you can.

Ah. That is why it is so cheap. I was hoping it was a smoking deal. How did you modify the cheek pad? Did you cut out the circular part that looks like a speaker or did you mount the speaker on top of it?

Just found this. I know this guy from my VTX days. I am still on his email distribution. Wonder of this will work. http://www.directlineparts.com/product.asp?pid=8924&str=4
