With Bummer's great help (ok he did most of the work) I made the switch shortly after I bought the bike in '08. I was already thinking about it when I lost my antenna on the highway. All I know is when I started I had it on there and by the time I got home about 30 minutes later it was not there. So by losing an antenna just helped me push to go ahead and make the switch. I also have the fold over option, but have never used it. I did it in case if I ever needed to. And like others we just switched out the connectors, we didn't remove the tank, split the fairing, change the cables, etc...

No problem. It works great. Just bought a Streetpilot 2820. To me it is exactly the same as the Zumo 550 but different layout and uses the exact same cable as my 2730.

Magnet hold it in place or did you have to screw it into something? I have to open the hood anyway. Got my Buddy Rich cable in the mail yesterday. Thanks Buddy. Looks great. Can't wait to install.

You just answered a question I had in general if anyone had one for their reservoir cover. Got a part #? -

No melting here. The horn did finally give out after I think 2 yrs. Gotta get a replacement. I have been thinking about doing the wolo horns mod that Bummer posted. It is just 2 Wolo horns mounted inside the fairing.

I wouldn't be suprised if any issues come out of putting in a non-stock coil if the bike is still under warranty that you get told by doing so voided the warranty.

where can I find a good harley site like this
Sideoftheroad replied to heatonmt's topic in Watering Hole
www.vtxoa.com It is the forum I was on when I had the VTX. I think a couple others that now own Ventures that were on that site too. It is a good informative site. Lots of good folks. I will say the only down side is there are trolls time to time wanting to do nothing but stir the pot. From my experience on this site when people stir the pot here, it has been in good fun and those involved know it or maybe the posts got deleted before I saw them :-) This site is # 1 IMO. -
I have to agree w/ all the comments on here about the parent. Kids will be cruel either way like Monty said. I don't think she looks natural after surgery. She looked better before. That is just me. If any of you watch college wrestling there is an African American guy that wrestles for Arizona (I think). His mom is white and he has one leg. When I watched it last month he won the title. Talk about obstacles he had to go through and he seems to have his head square on his shoulders.

I don't know about you I think she looked better before. What happened to teaching our kids about stick and stones. When the interviewer asks about the teasing it doesn't seem as harsh as what the parent is making out to be. http://news.yahoo.com/video/health-15749655/bullied-child-gets-plastic-surgery-24902719

Based on Trader's comment, the only thing that could make it better is being able to navigate via the handlebar controller. So when you insert it in the cassette deck the door can completely close? The picture makes me think it can't because of the sd card sticking out (if it does-no picture of an sd card inserted in the player)

Here is the situation. I went ahead and purchased a streetpilot 2820. The previous owner deleted his garmin account. I asked the seller about how lifetime updates works. He also thought it was not transferrable so I called Garmin. What the rep told me is if it was not deleted, he could call Garmin and give them my info. and they would note the account. Once I got the unit then I would call and they would put it in my name. By doing this, it would tie lifetime maps to the unit and I would be able to keep lifetime maps. So he called Garmin and got the account undeleted. They told him is it is not transferrable if the account name changes. Once the account name changes you lose Lifetime maps. So the suggestion from Garmin is leave the account name alone but I can log into his account to do map updates The info. given to us by the Garmin reps is contradictory to Flyinfool's post but these are Garmin's instructions so I don't think they have any issues w/ this situation. I think I will take the if it's not broke don't fix it approach and leave the account alone. I don't think I will bother w/ password/e-mail address changes either.

Is the Lifetime updates for the device or for the person? What I am checking out is a GPS unit that the owner bought Lifetime updates (not you Bob :-)). If I buy the GPS from that person does the Lifetime updates go with that unit, or stay with the previous owner?

I do like DL-01R and DL-02R TACHOMETER. Too bad they don't have a matching volt meter.
-
5320 You don't have to actually go into anyone's profile. Just move your cursor over someone's name and it will show you too.
-
Pics? Price? Links where to buy? I would be more looking for volt than I would be for water or oil, but would like to check it out anyway.

Condor. I like it but the cost seems to be the same as the Baron's mini and the Baron's comes w/ the mount. I will keep it in mind though because I am talking to Ponch again about the gauge plate. Anyone have pics of their 3" tach mounted?
