  1. Just wondering if anyone out there owns an 09 Venture yet? Was wondering if Yamaha addressed the infamous chirping and whining problem, and if there are any other issues? Anyone hear anything? Thanks
  2. I'm looking to purchase a cover for my 08 Venture. There are so many, can someone please suggest a good one, and where I can buy it? Thanks
  3. Hello everyone, I'm looking to install a tank Tux bib or Tie. Does anyone know where I can get a nice one? Does it rub the paint finish on the tank? Also, is it difficult to install? Thanks for you help. I'm riding with the 1700 bikes this week for the moving veterans wall in Beaver Pa and I would like to have it by then!
  4. I saw the same rack and when I called JC Whitney, they told me it would fit up to 2008 but they were out of stock or a discontinued model. So i got mine at JP Cycles. Show Chrome makes it and it looks great. No template comes with it so take your time and center it up the best you can before you drill the holes. Good Luck
  5. The cover behind the front tire with the 2 allen screws holding it on, is the cover for the lifter adjustment. i believe its chrome. Remove the cover and you'll see the valve spring and rocker arm. This is where you make the valve adjustment. The cover has a rubber type gasket around it. You can purchase them from your Yamaha dealer. Replace the rubber gasket and your problem is over. Once you remove the cover, it will all make sence. Good Luck!
  6. Hello everyone.......first let me say this sight is the greatest! I just purchased a 2008 Venture and after getting used to the weight...it's the best bike I have ever owned. I must be lucky cause I don't have the I-basket problem I've read so much about. My question today is about driving lights. Who makes a good after market unit? Or do I have to go with OEM? Are they difficult to install? Maybe it's best to have the dealer do the whole thing. What do you think? Thanks
  7. There's no secret about the Venture being a little top heavey and extra caution is needed making turns at low speeds. But you get used to the weight real fast, and once you do..you'll enjoy the best ride you've ever had on a motorcycle. Once in motion, the bike seems to glide! The Venture is an excellent choice! Good Luck
