    i bought a NOS antenna on ebay it does not have that "bug" thing half way up antenna. what does that thing do anyway? boost signal? i am going to work out this cb issue eventually. thanks for all your help guys. mine was spinning around like other people here were complaing also (when trying to tighten) any electronic gurus live near Falls Church VA ?maybe i could ride by your house or you to miner?

    well had to jump start bike off car last nite put an odessy 680 batt in this am hope i didnt fry any thing . willlet you know. btw.. i know where rectifir is where is alt.? same as stator? mike q

    dumb ? i know but is there any way to jump a bike with a car batt.? read some where a car batt. will burn fuse or worse. as long as not over 5 amps it would work right? maybe a could put resistors in line on jumper cables so as a car(turned off) could jump start bike .not an electrician so how much resistance? or are amps different matter to reduce? or is only option bike to bike jump?what is best option in emergancey? is there any jumper packs out there on market that could safely jump bike ? i have the HOT start problem but it allways started but not last week.allmost considered jumping with a car ( bike cooled off and stated) fianally but volts were way down bought ODESSY 680 battery and i guess some day install better Batt wires any advise?     is it true that if you jump start your bike with a car batterry you will burn a fuse or worse? what if the car was turned off? do you know how many amps a car batt. puts out?

    |Does any one know if a 1984-85 1200 venture backrest fit on a 1992 venture 1300? just bought on e bay Great price. not 100% sure of fitment . Some one tell me it will. MIKEQ:snow2:

    this is the case with 1992 venture also? so if remove the trunk and i should be able to find this black box ?? thank you in advance MiKE Q If so I am on my way out to look now I was hopeing it was something simple! keep fingers crossed

    all lights working RX TX cant hear a thing ajusted it till i saw the RX light come on turn too much Rx light goes off when i hit the PTT switch i see the TX light go on then RX come on, but HEAR nothing to answer question yes i did adjust squelch oh well was hopeing it was something simple i guess i will be tearing intothe right hand and left hand fairing this winter and seeing if some connectoerhas come loose I am thinking switcher?/controler box any one have any other ideas?

    Where do i check first? took antenna apart at mounting post No loose , broken wires that I could see Had right fairing off a while ago to replace right speaker and saw no loose , un hooked wires , leads FM radio works CB radio lights up Channels work but NO sound , no static , nothing! is it the controller box? switcher? PTT switch? thanks guys MIKE Q I should at least hear static right??
