I'm not sure if it is everywhere but my daughter was given military rates at a hotel in Washington, using her dependants ID card. She thought that was pretty awesome:canada:.

I didn't get anything for the bike, or tools either. I did get new leather slippers, and several items that display my Rider pride! Merry Christmas everyone! Andrew Make sure you follow the registration instructions completely, as you have to register online and mail in a copy of the receipt. I was late mailing in the receipt, so I didn't get the life time warranty. I do like the Rigid line of tools though.

Their mud grappler tire performs quite well off road, although I think it is fairly noisey on the highway. With a nice loud hum, you just have to turn up the radio. I'm not sure what their other line of tires are like. Are you taking the truck off road?

I watched it. He has the beginnings of an auctioneer. Laughed at him washing the bull!

Kevin, my wife is an avid reader, and has had an Ibook for the last year and loves it. She hasn't bought a hard copy book since. We also like the ability to search the internet and access email while we are on the go. Bill

Wyostar, I too have an 87 wrangler. But I broke it a few years back, and now my youngest daughter and I are slooowly rebuilding it.

I'm driving my wife's '08 3.0L diesel Jeep Grand Cherokee, every chance I get. It is by far the best Jeep we've ever owned. My '05 Cavalier is is due to be replaced in the new year, I'm finally getting back into a truck, just waiting for Dodge to build it.

Need Prayers for Ponch!!!
Oldseadog replied to Sweetnothing's topic in Inspirational, Motivational, Prayer Requests, Etc.
It is hard for me to put into words the emotions I feel as I read these posts. When I first joined this group, it was to meet people who owned the same type of motorcycle as I, and to learn more about it. That has happened, and more. I now realize I am a member of an extended family, not just a group of like minded individuals. I’m not what you would call a practicing christen, but I think of Ponch and his family on a daily basis, and I say a prayer. Tomorrow during Sunday service onboard, I will ask the padre to lead us in a prayer for the continued and speedy full recovery of our brother. It is sad to say, but, I too am rethinking my helmet choice, as well as the rest of my riding outfit. This is all because of what has happened here. -

My thoughts and prayers are going out to Ponch and his family. -
As much as I like my 1st gen, I really like the ride when Rod lent me his 2nd gen! Oh one of these days!!

I really liked the pics, thanks for posting them. I'm looking forward to the day when I will be able to attend one of these rallys!

Yup, hanging on for dear life, and we haven't even moved yet! ha ha ha We were taking it slow for the first time out, I think 60 - 70 km/h was about the fastest. I kept checking to see if she was comfortable with speed increases and as we weren't on any highways I just took it easy. If or when we are on the major routes I'll make sure we are properly dressed.

I just read the post from flyinfool, didn't do any of that! It's been three years and Leslie finally agreed to go for a short ride with a couple of friends of ours. We went out last night, staying on secondary roads, riding for about an hour. I wouldn't say she is a big fan, but said she may go out again. Her friend Ann mentioned taking a trip up island.

This old sea dog is coming ashore in San Francisco for the weekend June 24 - 26. I'm going to be docked in the Fisherman's Warf area. I'm looking to meet some of the members from the area. I'm thinking of Sunday, because I'm hoping to make it to Harbor Freight Saturday, but I'm very flexable. I know the area a little bit, I can make my way to Hooters or Bubba Gumps, maybe even a place in China town. PM me if you want to set something up.

I had a '68 Ford Fairlane 500 fastback 390, C6 back in the mid 70s. I thought I was really something until a '70 Charger shut me down good. After I blew the tranny Dad said the 390 was too big for me so he put in a 302. He sold the car when I joined the Navy.

Congratulations and all the best to the young couple!

Here's wishing them fair winds and following seas! OOPS they aren't at sea, hope they can avoid them twisters not twisties.

I know this is short notice. I'm in Vancouver this weekend, docked at Main Street pier. If anyone is interested in an m&e let me know. My cell number is in my profile.

I was wondering if anyone is planning to attend either of these swap meets on the 16th and 17th of April. http://www.washingtonvintagemotorcyclists.org/WVM_Swap_Meet_flier-1_2011.pdf http://www.classicbikeswapmeet.com/swap_meet.html If the weather is good my buddy and I are planning to take the bikes and attend both, if the weather isn't cooperating we are going to cage it. My lovely wife says she will join me for her first bike ride that weekend! I'm excited!!
