  5. I have a 05 still under warranty, it holds air pressure but it squeaks when i set on and i have seen an occasional drop of oil on the floor but never been able to track the source. The dealer say he figured it could be just a little over flow from the gas lines, but it did no smell of gas. Rides ok, but would rather have Yamaha put a new one on under warranty than me. That cash can go to other goodies or trips! Thanks

  10. I enjoy Venture Rider and have learned much about the workings of our RSV's and enjoy riding with the folks. But, Christmas eve in the evening I discovered I had a flat on my 05 RSV, I was 250 miles from home in a small town with no dealer and no tools, at least nothing to fix a flat and not far from Tom. So I sent a note to Tom to ask for advice on reputable dealer to get assistance from, and at 0400 Christmas I got a note with an answer but also offer to help even help haul my bike back to Houston if necessary. Sure enough 1000 am Christmas Day he came over helped me put the Ride-on in my tire and we aired it up. The hole was large (Texas Mesquite needle) in the rear tire and you could hear the air coming out. I rode it around and had to add air one more time. Later Christmas Day, I was called to work for an emergency left and rode 250 miles in the cold rain with no issues. Did not have to add air for several days. I finally changed the tire after about a month as it needed air regularly but the hole and damage was visible from several feet behind the bike. 2 important things: 1. Ride-on works 2. Tom and Venture Rider.org are GREAT! Thanks Tom and Don Kelly
  11. I just took my lowering kit off. It was on when i purchased it. I first noticed the pipes draging while cornering and on some bump, espicially when I was 2 up and and loaded. Now that I pulled them off I noticed that the stearing was more nimble at slower speeds. Not exactly a sport bike but more in line with most other bike I have riden. It is taller but I have a 33 inseam so it has not been an issue. I think if you lower both the front and back it might not be an issue. Good luck and if you need a kit let me know before you pay retail.
  12. Tom I may be interested in the Big Bend Trip in Feb. Whats the route and when are you heading out from where. I may have a friend from Brenham that would join me. KW
  13. Don Great News Don Good to meet you and you wife at the Meet and Eat. Look forward to see you again soon. Kelly
  14. Wish I could say Ike was a distant memory but not yet. I was spared major damage, lost some fence and about 10 hrs without electric. Looks like about 50% of the area has been restored electric, food and supplies are rolling in on I 10 from the west like a steady stream. But 3 million refridgerators is a lot of gallons of milk, cheese and Miller Lite. The Lord spared my family but showed his mighty hand all the way to Canada. I was working a Coast Guard Command Center today and drove the bike. On the way home it was PERFECT.... clear, full moon and cold (well cold for Houston 60F) perfect for a ride. Amazing the difference a day makes.... blessed beyond my wildest dreams, and inmeasurable beyond my deserving. There is much yet to be done. From a recovering Houston. Kelly
  15. Hey Lynn

I saw somebody in the list from OAKVILLE and I thought no one is from OAKVILLE. And if they were I would know them.

So, Hey from Katy! Just thought I'd let you know I bought a Royal Star Venture in June and Kati and I road it back from Chattanooga TN. I've been wasting gas around Brenham, LaGrange, and a Trip to Lake Buchanan. Heard you had lots of time on your hands, come up and LETS RIDE!
