    I got some of the parts painted in the pearl white sat morning and two coats of clear, now have to work on the orange and the small parts then work on the stripe. Its getting there hopefully I can have her painted and back together by spring if I remember how she goes together..

    I am going to start painting on her today! I have to fix a nice dent in the tank today also since I had it sitting on a bench and some how the next morning it ended up on the floor. I was at the chicago IMS show and got some wizzard lights with a remote to put on her also, just have to figure out the best place to put them for the best effect. I will try to add some more pics but I dont have a clue how to down size them and they wont load but will keep trying.

    Thats my guide so to speak on the paint but I am not taking the engine and stuff out to paint the frame and my colors are a little diffrent. I will probably paint my wheels at wome point white like that I think. I think my next built will be a harley since I can get all kinds of stuff for them and not a thing for the venture. I wish we could get stuff for this bike!!!!

    I didnt think to see if anyone from here was going or not but we just got back and had a great time with everyone from the indy star chapter and thought I would put some pics on.

    Yes I am painting it myself, I am going with a pearl white tri coat and a pearl orange with some kind of black stripe or tribal between the colors. Its been along time since I have painted a bike and have never tore down a tour bike so this is kinda learn as you go on the tear down but its easier than I thought and alot easier than tearing down the german cars I work on all the time.

    I do bodwork for a living and there are ins co out there that are really bad to deal with and only want to half a$$ fix your cars so be careful. I have pekin and they are around350 a year and I can ride anytime I want no storage time and I have had one claim with them on a camper I had that mice tore up and they totaled it and gave me more than I was getting ready to sell it for.Pekins ins at least for me goes down alittle every year since I havent had a wreck or anything.     I got one for my kids since my divorce they have put on alot of wieght and the ex doesnt seem to care. My daughter loves it now if I could just get them to eat healthy would be great!! You want to lose the weight give up sugar and soft drinks will be a huge start!! then keep up with any exercise. You can do what ever you set your mind to good luck!!

    My parents are getting ready to replace there 25yr old bryant heat pump system with something more efficiant since they are getting 500 plus elec bills and cant get gas were they are. I know there are some real good systems out there and some bad ones who recomnds what and why?? Im trying to help them out with all the info I can. I did do some hvac for a awhile so I do know some but not who has the best and why. Thanks

    Glad to hear nobody w hurt, sorry I didnt hear about this sooner I am close to the area of anderson and coulda helped with the windshield for you and had it towed to the shop I work at and had you taken care of. I dont get on here as much sometimes or I would have tried to help you out. Good luck with your ins stuff!!

    I got a pair of bat gloves and they work ok for messing around outside or for the passanger but not for the driver as we get to much air flow over our hands and it goes threw the gloves. I have some plug in gloves and they work great just wish the thumb would get alittle warmer.

    I have more problems with old people that cant drive the speed limit than those on a cell phone. There are alot more problems than cell phones I know around here if they have a high end car they think they own the road and will try to run you off the road even if you are on a bike so I make sure I have plenty of room even in my car. Good luck out there and just keep a eye out and be on the defence all the time.

    Nice looking bike!! I have been thinking about trading mine in for a wing since they have all the cool stuff and power!! Let us know how much diffrent this bike is to the venture and pros and cons. Ride safe and have fun:thumbsup:

    My 404s did that and since I went to the E3s I dont hear it. The ride change is amazing for just one or two up, my better half could believe the ride change. I couldnt belive how much a tire can change the ride of the bike.

    Harbor frieght has a lift table does anyone have one of these and if so how do they work?? I dont want to spend the money if its junk. Thanks

    I have a old set of carb tunes I bought from a old guy at work that has the merc in them now all I have to do is learn to use them and set my carbs when I have time.

    go to your harley dealer they are cheaper there for a progressive pump than any were else believe it or not. They are about 40 or 45 bucks at the HD and the company that makes them are 10 or 15 more with out the HD on it.

    I wish I could make to your house sat Dan but my better half has ridding class sat as she wants to see if she wants to ride her own bike and we found a guy who does private one on one and he brings the bike for her. I hope she likes it but if not then at least she tried it and has a better idea of what I do. Good luck and I will get with you in the future so ride safe!!

    I was at the dealer the other day and he told me that the new strat tourer bike looks like its going to take over for the venture since they are not doing anything other than raising the price to 20K for the 2010 venture. the new strat does look cool in the pictures and its has a radio n the fairing.

    What town are you looking at? I live in the are and there are a few and what are you wanting as far as hook ups? The state parks like mounds in anderson arent bad I have stayed there a few times and theres one in Noblesville called white river campground I think, I have stayed there also and its nice the only thing is I dont know when they close for the season. I will do some more checking and post a few others.

    I didnt see her in indiana it was KY in newport, love to go to KY and love the newport area!! there are some great places to go to and great roads all around the river
