    I used the rotella in the blue jug last time with 15w40w and changed it not long ago and put rotella t5 the blend 10w30w since it's going to get colder out. The whine is louder and it shifts into 3rd with a clunk but other than that it's fine. I just turn the radio up and I'm half deaf anyway so Im good I guess.

    I have had mine apart a few times and it's not that bad but I would suggest you take some pictures of how things are so you have a guide to put it back. Does anyone have a link or anything for the wrench to tighten the head bolt? I need to do mine and want to get one and can't seem to find him on here? Thank

    What are you needing to know? I mess with them a little but have nt had time lately to do much. I do have friends that do it so I might be able to get you whist info you need.

    I have wizard lights on mine and they came with two remotes and do all kinds of stuff. I got them in Chicago at the IMS show but the company who sold themes in Indiana and you can add to it like saddle bag lutes and floor board and different places. Good luck there are a ton of different ones out there.

    I was in greensburg Thursday around 530 pm and was at a gas america I think when I seen a raspberry and black 08 venture on a trailer. I watched to see who got in it but they got in the truck just as I met my kids so I didn't have a chance to say hi. I didn't know if it was anyone here?

    Rick did my seat late last year or early this year and it is a lot better! My only thing is that I am 6'2" and long legs and would like a higher seat. I had her seat done also andshe loves it other Than the vent back seat is so much higher than the drivers and her head gets bounced around a lot with the air so the seat needs to be lower.

    I talked with my dealer I bought the bike from westfield yamaha and they said they would meet kirks price they have and with tax its 113.00 so i am going to go get it friday and I will put it on I guess. Hopefully that will take some or all of the all over the road out of it.

    Thanks everyone! Mel and Jerry west field is high on there tires I found that out after I got the rear tire. There half or so called half is if they install it. My rear tire was almost 300 bucks for a E3 and they want 130 for the tire if I buy it and 110 plus 60 I think he told me for a front to install. Yes I will get with mike to put it on. Maybe when I get me a shop built I will get me a changer to do them at home along with fixing them.

    I have a 08 that I need to replace the front tire and the dealer is high. Who gives the best price? I don't want bay and get a old tire. Thanks

    I never was offerd a service contract to start with and even so most if not all of my work I do myself or have some friends that can help me if I dont know. The hardest part I was told about tighing the neck bolt was taking the fairing off, been there done that its not hard just takes alittle time. I think there is a guy on here that sells a wrench to do this with. If I can find a stratoliners front tire before I have to buy a front I want to switch them out and go with it. Thanks

    I have a little over 15000 on my 08 and I think its leaking oil and the rear is feeling funny, i called the dealer and unless its leaking air preasure then its not bad?

    I called my dealer and they told me that if the rear shock is losing air preasure over night than its bad and that the neck bearing is not covered under wrty as its a maintance thing. He recomends that I have the 16K service that is a 8.5hr service and thats a little salty. I do have some oil leaking but need to see if its from the over flow or the shock. Thanks guys for the info!

    I have a 08 venture and I am starting to feel a wobble in the front and more so at lower speeds. I am going to have to replace the tire by the end of the season since it has 15000 miles on it now and starting to look like it. I'm taking it in to the dealer and have them look at it but I like to be prepared for them to look at things. I also would like to know how you know if the rear shock is bad? The rear end is feeling funny and it feels like the rear tire slips and has a few time and it's a E3 with only 8000 miles on it. The queen says she thinks it rides different but can't put her finger on it. Thanks for any info:95:

    They are now in the fields picking the corn and beans here so between getting the deer stirred up and some grain getting on the roads there are more hazzards rite now. Ride safe out there and keep your eyes open!!

    I have a set of HD pipes for mine just havent made or got the bracket for them yet or got around to drilling them out. I would love to have the one set that you can change from loud straight pipes to baffled pipes at the switch of a switch but they are costly!!

    We had a new suburban in the shop earlier this year that a tire came off of a semi and he hit it going the other way dead center in the front of it and it totaled the surburban! If I remember it moved the engine back a few inches it hit so hard. I have had the blow up beside me in the car and they sound like a bomb went off.

    When I repainted mine I put some of the 3M clear chip stuff on the lower cowlings behind the tire just to help with that. You can cut it any shape you wish but remember it wont stop some chips. I see cars with the stuff all over the front of them and they still get chips in them, if a piece of stainless steel will get chips or diamond plate there isnt much you can do to stop it other than not ride it. I tell customers all the time we cant stop chips only help prevent some. Just my 2 cents good luck.

    Hey Wizard if the bodyshops cant match it did they give you reason? If they cant do it them selves they should be able to call there paint rep and have someone come out and match it that is very good at it. I have a rep with dupont that if I have a color I cant match or get close with he will come out and work on it. The cameras are great to a point but Idont trust them all the time. If it has a heavy metalic in it like I have seen with some bikes and boats they might not have that big of a metal flake and it may have to be a custom mix. Most of your stuff now is pearls with some metal flakes in them or tri coats. I think the milliniams are a white tri coat like your cadilacs and such but not sure since I have never seen one. That is what I put on mine is a white tri coat, white base with a pearl over it and the more pearl you put the more it will change in tint.

    Ok are you asking bout the new voyager or the older one? I will say I do like the looks of the new one alot!! i dont think it has the room of the venture but it is updated! From what I have read about it it has plenty of power and it follows the ultra alot on stuff. I think I read some were that they have redone the 2010 already alittle to make it not as hot for the riders. Both bikes will give you great service just ride both and see what you like.

    I have a E3 on the back with about 7500 miles so far and it still looks new and the front is still the origina 404 with 14500 on it. I think I am going to have to get a new front before the end of the year though its starting to feel funny.

    I went earlier this year, if you go on friday and I think its 11 am we just happend to walk in and they have a behind the back roads tour I think is what they called it. It is a guided tour by a guy who has worked for HD for over 30 yrs and was one of the engineers for there nova bike they made ( V4 ) and they take you behind to see stuff others dont like the bikes in inventory on these huge shelves. Very cool I thought it was great but she was bored. It is very cool and they have a resturant that is great!! If you take the wife you might want to see if she wants to go some were else while you look.

    I havent heard about the flat track race yet but there is all kinds of stuff going on all around here in Indy so if you get a chance you might want to look some of it up. I do know there is a huge bike turn out in downt town on the circle and they close it down to nothing but the bikes. I am sure some otheres from here will give more info as to what is going on. Have a safe trip up!
