    I went to the indy GP a couple of weeks ago and they had the vmax there and they are very cool machines!! very pricey but cool!! They had most of the other bikes there also but come to think of it they didnt have any of the deluxe or RSV there. I will have to say that after riding my RSV and getting on all the bikes yamaha had there they are like going to a moped they felt so light. Iguess I am just so used to the wieght of mine I dont realize it til I get on something else. I would love to take a vmax for a ride but i am affaid I might like it to much and get me back in the crotch rocket mode and I am too old for that now.

    I looked at both and we decided on the RSV, that being said I do really like the deluxe looks and the fact that you can take the windshield off and it doesnt have the trunk. I will say I didnt think I would use the trunk or the radio much but not that I have it I dont want to be with out it. I would like to be able to take the trunk off when its just me runing around for looks. The only down side on the RSV is she does get hot but the have vents you can get for that. Good luck with what ever you get and enjoy it.

    Why is it that radial tires are better for cars but not for bike? I was wondering why the RSV doesnt have radials on them from the factory anyway?

    I use mine for soda and coffee and nothing on mine so far but the one my better half has the top part keeps coming apart on it and she only uses it for coffee. Other than that its great.

    I have a 08 RSV and just put 3k on it, I just noticed the vent tube had some gas coming out of it today? I have been smelling gas but havent seen it and I have said something to the tech the last time I took it in and they couldnt find anything. Does anyone have any ideas or is this normal? Thanks guys.     I really like the looks of this bike and if it would have came out earlier in the year I think I would have bought it if it has all the options the RSV has. I did test a couple of nomads with front fairings and radios and stuff but it put the price well over the RSV and I didnt like the way the vibrated so much it made my hands feel num after awhile. All in all it is a very nice looking bike with what I would love to have on my new RSV.

    I hope the rain stays away or doesnt get to bad if it doesnt I am going to take the kids out there sat and look around. anyone made it down town yet? I hear there is alot going on there also with four or more blocks shut down to cars and only letting bike in.

    I have a 08 with almost 3k on her and mine are the same way. were are you getting chrome handles for 20 bucks each? and are they hard to change out I really havent gave it any thought till now.

    I am sorry to hear that, I cant say as I blame you if I was in your shoes I would be very upset also. I dont know much about the shocks other than the little I have read here, I hope it being a new bike like mine is that that isnt the case. Maybe you should find another dealer to work on it if they are taking that long just a thought. I wish you the best of luck and hope it all works out. Kevin

    I blieve it said road star not royal star, but I am sure if you do alittle checking around and find a couple of dealers they will compete for your business. They took over 2500 off of mine when I bought my 08 rsv a few months ago and I have heard from other owners that they had dealers bidding so to speak on your business.

    Glad to see you guys had a goodtime Bob! Kinda wish we would have went but just ended up relaxing at home and doing alittle riding around the area, first time in at least ten years I have been in town and not on a schedule and it was nice for a change.

    Thanks guys I knew someone here would know what all was going on. It looks like you have to buy tickets to even get into the area were the vendors are instead of outside the track like they are for all the other races. Oh well thats my luck, anyone that goes let us hear how it goes and if its worth messing with and have fun.

    Glad to hear you are alright and trying to fix the problem. Like on the lock tight making the abs soft and able to crack becareful what you put on the clearview I am not sure what it is made of but some sealents like the urethane they use on car windshields will eat some plastics so you might want to use some of a little peice and check it first.     I believe it all starts next week from what I am told, I was told that they are going to set up a free style and moto jump thing in the street in Broadripple on thursday and have free style things going on down town but I havent been able to confirm that yet. I was hoping someone here would know for sure what is going on. Have a good time to all that come and just watch out for the cops I was told that they are going to be on the look out for loud bikes and the drinking.

    Does anyone know if there will be very many vendors and such at this event? I have heard from other people that they are trying to make this a Indy bike week and are going to have 4 blocks down town set up for only bikes and the parties and diffrent things going on all over but havent found any real info. I have my kids that weekend so they cone first but would like to go see the vendors and see what I can get for the bike and us.

    I have a question, does this mod help in any way with the way it shoves the boys up and make it very uncomfortable for any lengthy ride?? I dont want to sit lower in the seat as I am of the taller statute.

    I have been thinking of getting some for mine, does it make the bike breath better? Mine feels like its starving for air might just be me.

    I went from a Honda shadow 1100 sabre to the rsv and there is a big diffrence but there is a huge weight diffrence also. I notice the top heavy more ridding 2 up than by myself and dont have a problem with it, you just have to get used to it. You wont regret it they are great bikes, just wish they would come out with some cool clothes and jackets like HD has.

    I went to the last tall stacks and took my kids to see those boats, they would be great to do a long cruise on. I wonder were she is going to go now? I wouldnt mind spending a night or two on her if they make her a hotel.

    I dont know if this will help your problem but mine was doing the same thing with the speakers since I dont have a head set yet I dont know if it was doing it there. The plug in the fairing was vibrating lose just enough that it would come and go so they put some grease in it and wire tied it together so it wouldnt come apart and so far I havent had a problem. I hope that helps good luck.

    I would have chased him down but I just got off the phone with the ex and was on a run to clear my head alittle and chill so I wasnt in my best. Next time I will do that!! Maybe next time I run threw anderson I should make a run threw alex since its my old stomping ground and see if I will get chased???

    I asked about puting synthitic in mine when I bought it and they told me not till after the 2nd oil change as the engine needs to break in before I do. That being said has anyone used any of the Lucas oil additive in there bike or is that a no no? I use it in all my cars and they run alot smoother and quieter.

    I was on a mission at lunch and didnt have time to see were they were going but seen a very nice blue RSV going down Hague rd when I sent to lunch today on a trailer, anyone here taking theres by trailer in the area??

    Harley makes some great looking bikes and have some really cool clothes but the prices on all that stuff is way out there for what you get. I looked at new HD when I bought my bike I just couldnt justify the extra 10 to 15k for the bike I bought in the new RSV. I have a very hard time buying or doing something just because its the thing to do because in a few minutes its not the thing so I just do what I want. Bottom line if you are happy with what ever you do and ride and enjoy yourself that is all that matters.
