I have been wanting to put a light on the back of mine, I went on a ride last fall with others and noticed one guy had a light that was like knight rider as it would move from side to side as you rode then the whole thing would light up when he would hit the brakes. I thought it was really cool but havent found one yet, and it does get your attention following them whitch is another big plus. If anyone know were you can get this please let me know I want one Thanks.

I dont know what kind of shops are around you in your area but alot have a camera that can take the picture of the paint and with the paint code or with out it can get very close, I use one everyday at work since I paint cars for a living. Now if they dont have one they can have the paint store come by and take a picture of the part to match, alot of shops dont have these since they are around 11k if I remeber rite. as far as the stripe goes you are better off to replace it then to try to paint over the old one or clear over it as alot of times they will shrink under the clear then you have a bigger mess you dont want. there are striping companies that might be able to match your stripes and if they can you can get a roll of say 50ft for around 20 to 30 bucks if they can match it. Take it to a good bodyshop and have it done rite it will pay for itself in the long run, there are alot of shops that wont mess with bikes so you might have to look around. Good luck!!!

I have a GMC sonoma 4dr and I hate it! it gets crapy gas milage and there is always something I have to do to it. unless you need 4x4 I wouldnt get it it takes to much fuel milage from the trk. I had a 2 wheel drive suburban I drove all over and got 21 on the highway with it and not to bad in town. I will say that gm trks that I have had do better on gas than the others I have had (ford and a chrysler). Good luck

waterbug replied to OB-1's topic in Watering Hole

I think everyone is wanting free money! I just read in the papaer how the oil companies are saying they may go bank rupt if the price of gas doesnt go up and they are holding tankers off shore and not wanting them to come in till the oil goes up. I could have swore last year they put the country in this mess and made record profit that no other company has made but they are broke???? Just goes to show that if you try to help out a couple of places they all think they should get some too.

I knew there would be someone here that does this and can give me some much needed advise and I thank all of you! It is a job I can do myself and dont have a problem doing I just believe if you do it its worth doing rite the first time so you dont have to do it again, and being on comition doing bodywork and painting cars I dont like to do it once not alone more than that. Again thanks everyone for your info and have a great week.

Thanks for all the replys!! the house is around ten yrs old give or take a few, its a two story open concept and only the ceilings are cracking and not the walls and its at the joints with pitched ceilings and the texture is made with a brush or something so that makes it even harder to match. It looks like I am going to have to take the stuff out of the joints and do a repair that way I just dont want it to come back in a year as the ceiling in the main room goes into the loft and I only want to paint this once I hope. I am thinking of using some two part caulk I use on cars that flexes also and put in there but thats not cheap. any other idea? thanks again.

we bought a forclosed house last year and for some reason in the ceilings all the joints are cracking and some have some chunks coming out. I was told its because it sat empty in the winter for at least two years and now with the heat and all everything is changing. Whats the best way to fix this so I dont have to do this again later? it has textured ceilings also so that makes it fun. Thanks!! I dont have anyone else to ask and figured someone here would have a good idea.

I had a honda 1100 shadow sabre that looks like a fat boy with some killer pipes on her and ghost flames that were factory and I loved the bike and wish I still had it to tool around on. I dont think there are to many bad bikes out there its just a personal choice. Good luck

I am looking at getting a gps for my bike and this just popped in my head, if you plug into the mp3 hook then all you hear is the gps and not your cb or radio or anything rite? SO would you be bett3er to have the blue tooth or do you guys switch back and forth? thanks

For us its classic rock and country and some island music like buffet and such and it needs to be up beat and fun music. Cant stand the rap stuff or the heavy metal but to each there own.

I get a mag called Rider that is very good and they do more metrics than HDs and they cover alot of places and things and bikes. Theres another one I try to find that has alot of touring bikes but they do the HDs also and I think its bagger but not sure. I like to read on all diffrent bikes and places to go.

I did alot of research when we bought our 08 rsv and they came out with the new kaw after I bought it but I havent seen one yet, from what I am hearing from everyone I am so glad I bought our rsv and plan on ridding it for a very long time!! I cant wait to see the new stuff at the next show in the Indy area but I dont believe there is a better bike for us than what we have and I dont think I could get her off the couch in the back for one of the otheres.

Im not sure how the motorcylce end of it is but doing bodywork on cars for the last 20yrs and dealing with ins co daily you need to know what your policy is and what you are getting, sometimes you get what you pay for. There are some ins co out there that want stuff repaired that can be safty inssues for the cars and the shops sometimes dont have a choice and are told that if they inform the customer what is going on they will be black balled so to speak from those companies. I sure hope they dont do that on the bikes!!! Good luck!!

I was looking at one of my bike mags lastnight and they have a new one that harley have been working with that you can only get at the harley store for now that looked really cool and it has all left hand controls and made so you can wear gloves from what I read. Didnt give a price but I am willing to bet that harley embelm on it just bumbed up the price another hundred or more.

How much air are you running in the shocks? I have been messing with mine and with more air preasure the harder the ride but with no air in them it will ride rough also. I have been running with about 4 in the front and have been playing with between 20 to 30 in rear, I think you cant go over 40 or 45 in rear but check and make sure. Just play with it and see what works for you guys and good luck.

Good luck with the new bike I hope you enjoy it and have fun with it!! Come back as much as possible and let us know how its doing and be safe out there.

I have a 08 and I hear very little whine on it, If it bothers you turn up the radio or get some louder pipes. I will say that first think you will have to get used to is she is top heavy and you will notice it more ridding two up but you get used to it and dont even notice it after a while. Dont let that scare you just wanted to let you know they are very comfertable rides!! and as my girlfriend calls the back seat a couch you cant beat it. Good luck and for the money i dont think you will find a better deal I looked.

I had to take the kids home sun and they said on the radio there was 30 mph winds and didnt catch the gusts, the temp was 5 with a wind chill of -18. It was nice and sunny out sunday morning when I got up to go get the paper and thought about ridding the bike til I stepped outside. Its supposed to be colder today from what the paper said hopefully we wont have the winds.

I have I tunes Jerry and it works great for a ipod but not for a mp3 player. I picked up a short cord somewere thats only about a foot and I clip the shuffle on the clutch cable or a wire in that area.

I seen that on speed this morning as I walked past the tv and it cought my eye and I sit and watched it. The bike looks alot like my venture its a shame they didnt come out with it, I wonder what the price on that would be from them?? It was very interesting to watch and see the proto types there.
