Snows slowed down here in New Yawk. We've got 3-4 inches with another 6 expected by tomorrow morning. But all is calm now. Schools are cancelling evening activities.

Nice scoot Ole! Enjoy the ride.

What type of riding have you usually done. If your coming off a Harley then the asssumption isthat much of your writing is touring and cruising. That would make the second gen the your prime choice. If you did any sport or sport touring earlier then the 1st Gen will be more to your liking. It is more a touring sport bike in the line of BMW's where as Yamaha definitely pursued the harley form with the 2nd gen,. with more power and lower cost. My choice was always the 1st gen, for the above stated reasons. Also I too like the foot position undernreath me. good luck with your hunting.

We wish to add our sincere condolences to Darrells family and hope that he is at peace. He is not the first of our memebers lost this year and I only hopethat those that proceeded darrel are waiting with a bike warmed up and ready to ride. The universe is a big place with lots to see. I'm sure he'll be waiting for us too. aike waiting and ready to show us around. PB&J and Rawhide.

We had a propane furnance for years but it usually only ran as back up to our Vermaont casting air tight wood stove. Our old farm house was 2100 sq ft. when we were done with it. Local pallet copmany sold wood for $200 for nine face that got us through 3/4 a season . Tw loads made it the whole season with wood left over to start the next year nice and seasoned. 100 gallon tank of propane lasted 2 months. Just an option but one that saved us thoudsands of dollars over the 25 years we lived there.

PBJ replied to GaryZ's topic in Venture and Venture Royale Tech Talk ('83 - '93)
gary may I ask why you removed them and went back to the pegs. I remember there was a thread before about boards and pegs and I was wondering how good or bad boards were. Personally i feel pegs are a little sportier and i like the Sporty element of my 85. But I'd be interested in your opinion .- 20 replies

Thanks Ponch i knew that . I was going for a little inspirational humor. I was really fat as a kid. I weight 245 lbs. and had a 44 in waist. I was all fat. I lost 60 lbs at the age of 22. Then I bought my first set of weights. I've been reading and experimenting for the last 30 years and have a pretty good system down now. I used to work out alone at home for years then I started working in a gym two years ago. Now I get to switch up my routines and keep my muscles guessing what I'll do next. After 30 years I'm back up to 245 lbs but I only have a 36 in waist. The last two years I have been concentrating on reducing my body fat percentages. Last measurement was about 18% body fat not great but not horrible for 55 years old. Congratulation to all out there losing weight keep up the good work remember its not a diet its a lifestyle, change one that you can all live with easily (even with all the Diary Queen stops). All except you Taters you're thin enough already lady. If you get any lighter Tom will have to put rocks in your leathers so you don't blow off the back of his bike. Take care all.
