Heyyy,, PB&J - CONGRATULATIONS to you and Mrs. PB&J!!
PBJ replied to cowpuc's topic in Watering Hole
Thanks so much . Sorry more people didn't get invites . We actually moved the date twice because we didn't want to wait until this summer so the invite list was small just family and a few close friends. And about the bike, I too have always thought the Silverwing was a very cool bike. To tell the truth we weren't even looking for one because I know they are very rare. As was pointed out to me by the previous owner these GL500 and 650's get cut up for cafe racers. He specifically wouldn't sell it to anyone planning to do that. He was our kind of people, his other bike was an ST1300. The Silverwing was a commuter bike too work. It is in meticulous shape. He babied it. He was glad to sell it to Carol. Carol got very luck finding that jewel. It also came with a spare back seat and sissy bar to replace the trunk and carry a passenger. This guy was thorough. -

Carol and I thank you all for those wonderful well wishes. We are experiencing the joy that comes from finding that one person that MAKES YOU FEEL WHOLE AND LOVED LIKE NO OTHER. Carol and I had stayed friends for 4 years and each time we would meet or just talk we could feel something unspoken, something that felt unfinished between us. We are both very lucky to have found each other .Thank you all again for your congratulations. We plan on being at Tom's rally this year. It will be good to see old friends and new. We thank you all. Ride safe, and we hope to see our western new york and finger lakes friends soon to go riding. -

Hey Puc this is so sweet of you to start this thread. Carol and I are so happy. This is very nice. Carol used to be a member on here under the name Tailfeather. She is currently riding a a cherry 81 Honda Silverwing Interstate. We've been together just under two years but have known each other for 4 years. We own a home together and we were married on March 8th. I'm so in Love with this beautiful funny kind woman. The say third times the charm. In our lives its certainly true. here are a few pictures from our wedding. Thanks again. -
Thanks sleepy.

Sounds wise. I have two windshields stock height and cut down 4 inches, i though i'd enjoy the cut down hinshield but as tall as i am I found the stock shield was more to my liking. i can look over the top easy enough.

Nice choice. I'll bet she loves it.

Added our names Carol and I will be there. Married last weekend.

very bestest of friends. So I leaned over to give him a big...

When i first started i here i was going through a divorce. During my marriage I had combined my last name and hers. So my name on here was PJ Bennettlepel. but it was hard for some to write out. Sweetnothing a member here was joking about it and said why don't you shorten that to like PB&J or something. I told her I like that AND i'D ASK FREEBIRD TO CHANGE IT. he happened to be reading the thread and changed it right then and there. And its been PB&J ever since. Phil Lepel.

This is going to get interesting. Many of the people on the facebook page start there then have joined here. Some have enjoyed the friendship of others here but may not want to have to Pay here to be friends with these people they have been friends with. Facebook allowed them to do that. On this forum "owned' and run by Freebird and the moderators we have chosen to be here. We've chosen to pay for that privilage. Will we start blocking people because they don't pay to be here? That somehow doesn't seem fair. Its one thing to block someone that is harrassing people on the page or is bad mouthing ventures or yamaha's because they aren't owners. I could understand that. I can also understand keeping this a closed group, but closing it to people who are not paying members here somehow doesn't seems appropriate. Thats just my 2 cents.

Funny how it used to be the 1%'s that got all the bad publicity that made the rest of us look bad, now its the kids on sport bikes and the stunters. -
Well with 60 degree weather carol was up early and out right after breakfast to get in her first ride on the Silver wing. it started right up and she started with a few laps around the fire hall to get used the bikes weight. The bike handled well. Carol felt it was a little top heavy but she'll get used to that as she rides more. She let me take it out for a few laps and it steers heavy until you get it up to a higher speed then it lightens right up. Afterwards we hit the road for a quick ride. but high winds got us back early.

Not bad, able to buy a Road star ( or is that Royal star ?) and a V Strom and a boat load of after market parts for the price of one Harley or Victory. Now that's shopping!
