  2. Hey Dave this is PB&J from the Finger lakes area, of which Penn Yan is dead smack in the middle. Not sure if you were originally from this area. Keuka Lake where your brother lives has one of the most beautiful roads to ride in this area. Then there's the ride through Little Italy Valley over to Canandaigua Lake and the Village of Naples. Heading north from there takes you to Canandaigua where I now live You can call me at 315-521-3729. We have a great bunch of Venture Riders here in this part of New York and we'd love to show you some of the good roads and great food in our area. I'm retired so I'm free most of the time and I'd love to show you around. I'm also a Limo driver and i can take you to some of the wine trails here in New York which are growing by leaps and bounds. Hope to hear from you. Phil.
  3. I haven't called yet to see if i still have my room there. seeing as how i only just got mine in in February who knows if i still have a room there. I'll let you know.
  4. Luckily we had nice weather last week here so I could get my bikes home and in the new garage. But frozen puddles out there this morning and nothing higher than 29 degrees today here in New York.
  5. Looks good Jonesy . lets see a cager say they didn't "see" you now!
  6. Going on my third year with mine. Still love it. Is it worth it you bet . Especially considering that it still keeps up with bikes costing thousands of dollars more and years newer. But I've love the style of it since it came out in 83. When it came time for a touring bike it was my first choice. Also they were selling at great prices considering what you got for your money. I also have an 84 v65 Sabre still running strong. Why sell them?
  7. hey Tom give taters my regards. So sorry to hear. Joanna told me. I've been off line waiting for my internet hoo to come in Now i;m back. Send her my love and prayers talk more later riding season is around the corner tell her to get well

  9. I stepped away January 2007 . Its the timed of dreams do the things you always wanted to do if you didn't have to worry about the money. I've always wanted to be a published author . I'm now working on my first childrens book. Make dreams real iTs now or never.
  10. Man what a year. I just ended my second year divorced after 30 years. But it lead me to a new friend that didn't ride her own bike, My 85 Venture Royale and this great organization. I miss the things I've lost but I Love the new friends I've made! I also just bought my own home and I'm learning to decorate! New doors always open! Love the bike the trailer and the Color. Hmmmm 2nd Gen???
  11. Well let's thank our wonderful Canadian Brothers and Sisters for being not only such wonderful hosts but also for not rubbing in our faces that they have won more Gold Medals than German or the United States. Yes in total with Silver and Bronze we've won the most But Canada has More Gold Medals in this Olympics. Congratulations Canada!

  13. well with banks expecting to to show them where you make your money, where you keep your money and how you move your money they sure don't want to lend us any maybe Honda figured that out.
  14. Besides riding a BEAUTIFUL 85 1st gen, but knowing your Canadian makes you that much dear. Seriously i've always been a Canadian fan. Mr. Brokaw captured the beauty of your country and why we( many of us anyway) in the United States LOVE our Brothers and Sisters to our North. And did i say your ride a beautiful 85 1st gen.

  17. Oh man Charlie that was meannnnnn! That's the thanks I get for being so big hearted and shiny scalped .I was just helping Tom redirect the light for a better shot. PB&J:big-grin-emoticon:
  18. Hey booby you said its 5 hours away but you didn't say where/s it upstate near us or south of you? Being a 96 it is newer than your 84 but they detuned the snot out of that motor the first year they brought it back so its not going to run like your 1st Gen. The paint and missing key makes me uneasy. Hot?!? Then like it was said what about the gas cap? i'm sure you could redo the ignition but if its hot then you're screwed. Find out when it was last registered. have them send you a scanned copy of the registration or at least the number so you can do a history check on it. If they won't walk away. There will be another one come along. If its near us up here let us know Tom or i will be glad to check it if its close to either of us. Phil

  22. Hey I have too many friends on here who ride 2nd gen's to make any negatives commenst about how slooooow or Heavvvvyy ythe are. or how detuned they were in the begining, ( Thank Goodness they brought some of the power back). Nope you can't make me say anything like that. Nope! Never! Not gonna do it!
  23. Oh Margaret a fellow Mustang Lover. I knew there was more to you that I liked besides just being a venture rider!
  24. Cook up some chicken thighs or breasts on a Sunday and have a piece in the more for breakfast. The protein in the chicken takes the body longer to digest and staying in the stomach loner. There for you don't get hungry as soon. Also apples with protein help digestion and the better up take of nutrients
  25. just got back from taking Rawhide to a beautiful Italian Buffet at Mario's in Rocheter NY. Yum!
