Very Interesting Annie. Especially considering that Earls type front ends were developed in the 50's and 60's when Car and bike tires were a lot more alike. I'm not a big fan of the CA conversion but I would have imagined that It would have been a suitable adaptation.

For years we had Lab's Black and white. Carol had a Pug and a Boston terrier. The previous owner of my side car had a White Lab( I know because of all the air under the floor mats) and he used to take the dog in his sidecar up to the Adirondack.

Our Baby She's so big!!! What are you complaining about didn't you used to be a dog trainer or did the dogs train YOU??? LOL

Fantastic , but then I've been a Bill Joel fan for the last 30 years. His songs have always spoken to me of many of the very things that were happening in my life at the very time. Just before the Berlin Wall fell, he traveled to Russia with his then wife Cristy Brinkley and their daughter, The spent sometime with the Russian Circus and he Wrote a beautiful song about the performs. He spoke about how much we were all alike. this was at a Time when Russia was still considered an enemy. His music has always been a little ahead of its time.

I used to work for GM and those parts are so marked up its ridiculous. We used to make a two barrel fuel injector that sat on top of the engine like a carb. It cost us $125.00 to make total,( even with union labor). But to buy the same unit to replace one on your car Cost $800.00 bucks and That was back in the late eighties!

Ditto That! Size as far as weight goes is one thing but as far as CC's go i agree with Mike.

I taught my ex, my daughter and my son all to ride. Though the all putted around the yard on a little kawasaki 250, Their first street bikes were multicylinder 650's and 750 which are equal or greater in power than 750, 800 and 1100 v twins. Buying a small bike for your wife will be okay if you are planning on traveling too far or going too fast. She'll quickly out grow it . We found an older virag0 . we paid a little under 1,000 dollars for it so if something happens no big loss. How fast she rides depends on where we are riding and who with. Start with back rodes . The brain and the right hand are all the rider needs to control a bigger bike. Be a good safe teacher /riding partner and she shouldn't have any trouble and you won't be buying another bike in a year or two. I expect my girlfriend's 1100 to be all the bike she'll need for A VERY LONG TIME.

My Lady also took the safety course this year and we found her a great Virago 1100. It needed a little work but so far its plenty powerful enough for around town and soon longer rides. Its a little cramped for her, she's over 5 10 but she likes it a lot. I'll have her post later.
