Joe, the trunk looks really good. It looks like it belongs there. My only complaint might be that its a little squared off- you know, angular for the beautiful rounded features of a 2nd Gen. I might have actually gone with a first gen trunk. they actually seem more rounded and complimentary to the over all look of the bike. But maybe you got a great deal on the Gold Wing trunk if so then more power to ya. To 99% of the people looking at it it will look like it belongs. Good Job!

Just one more member saying it was good to see the picture of you sitting up and looking pretty good. Oh and a member here has a nice 2nd gen trike for sale. $17k will the insurance money cover that? LOL! Get well soon, there will plenty of time to think about that later.

Thanks looking it up Now. Okay found it but had to search BY NAME to get it to come up. They are on sale now for $399.99 I guess better to buy one new for $400. Than a used one for $500.

Condor thanks for the advice on the price. i bought Jrichards. Apparently its a Superbrace made for Yamaha. i think he bought it from stock. -
Maybe Larry (Carbon One) could use it after his recovery. Sorry to hear about your friend and that you've decided its time to end riding. But it's a wise decision if you feel its time. Personally I don't want to meet my maker while riding but I can think of worse ways to go. Good luck

What a great review. The road glide has quickly become a Harley i would love to own. That and the V-rod. In fact the bike bike I have seen but Harley unfortunately doesn't make is a V-Rod with the Road glides frame mounted fairing and bags adapted to it. Why Harley does Not make this bike Is a mystery to me???? Anyway Loved the thread if i was a rich man( retired now) I would seriously consider it. But still lovin my new to me 87. But if i could....... thanks again for a great review!

Went to look at the Harbor Freight trailers on their sight . They have two, one with 8 in. wheels and one with 12in. but no box to it. Do they no longer sell the trailer with a top box or has everyone just put one of their own on ?

I was just reading this thread and realized it was last May. Oddly enough ba k then i sold friesman my left half for his bike. But now his brownie may be done for so he may have one that will go cheap.

Condor , what were they going for? Jrichard is selling one here of $50. How much are yours ? You might put me down for one for my 87. My Honda came with a brace from the factory and I'd like a good strong one on Blackhawk. -

Well there is a bit of a power difference from the early intro models isn't there? I believe they detuned the engine a bit the first two years then increased power by 2002. or was the the First royal star? -
A guy is selling what looks like an older version near me. Has some curling decals but the plastic and frame looks fine. but he's asking $500 firm and you all say I can buy one new for $300. ? Do they still sell for 300?

well take your time with it. and remember ( as if you need reminding) that this is a whole new skill set. A trike is a trike and so now you'll be learning so many new things but once you do the riding experience will be great. i had a sidecar for many years to cart my kids around . it was different but fun in its own right. Enjoy the new world...

Blackhawk , my new to me 87 has been doing the same thing.( Diving hard in a stop) and dropping a little. I was wondering if the springs could be bad because the bike only has 35k on the clock. So my question, With such low mileage can the springs be bad? If so I have a set of Progressives in my 85 in the garage I'll just change them over. but do I need to?
