I've never bothered to change the whole thing over, a simple cassette adapter allows me to use my CD player or MP3 simply by plugging it in, works with the intercom and cb without any trouble.

Thats one of the advantages of a site like this . It gives you a clear perspective of the cost of bikes at their respective ages. Mileage, accesories and such help us to determine in a practical manner the price of our bikes. Too many times people with a connection to other owners have an unrealistic idea of the value of their bikes...... that is until it sits on E-Bay or craigslist for weeks on end without so much as a nibble.

Just throw my good wishes on top of the pile, glad to hear everything will heal. Except the bike. Good luck.

My Father was a pilot and told me the closest thing to flying on the ground was driving through a parking lot.

Good luck Tom, Watched my ex go through it TWICE. She had terrible withdrawal one night sent two hours on the floor crying. I felt so helpless and it broke my heart I couldn't help her. Tobacco was never meant to be smoked so regularly. That's why the some Indians have such a respect for it and consider it scared and not to be abused. Good luck! my friend:thumbsup2:

I was riding along the Lake Ontario shore line east of Rochester near A park called Chimney Bluffs when one flew right over me. It was the first time I'd ever seen one in the wild like that. Didn't even know there were any in the area, even though the Montezuma area has been used as a nesting sight to release birds into the wild.

Beautiful Bike makes me wish I still had my 85 Brownie. Mine was in similar shape when i drove to Michigan to get it. My brother, who had come with me, thought i was nuts and shouldn't buy it. This is what it looked like though after I did exactly what you did. Took it apart and cleaned it top to bottom. Sanded the engine cases and polished the front forks. I even had to clean the scratches out of the top part of the windshield .

ODDLY HAD A SIMILAR PROBLEM WITH A YAMAHA VIRAGO LAST YEAR. REBUILT CARB'S BUT THE PUMP KEPT OVER POWERING THE FLOATs . Disconnected the pump and went to gravity feed and the bike ran great up to 80mph when it started to get fuel starved . Slow down to 70 and all was good. Oddly enough I could accelerate past 80 for a few minutes before it would drain the bowls. I know its off the subject but i still have the pump in the garage . and the secondary tank was under seat like the the venture.
